    The plugin doesn't overwrite any Launchbox files. All of the files in the release are unique to thirdscreen. So to uninstall just download and unzip the latest release to get the file list and then delete all of those files from your Launchbox folder.

    Ok, thanks. Does blinky not work consistently if you try the shortcut a few times? I've noticed that in general blinky just sometimes decides not to work when a game is launched. Also, does blinky work when you  use the game shortcut with LaunchBox open instead of BigBox?

    The second oddity I noticed is that if I launch games one after another without exiting the game menus mentioned above, then it's like it's stacking the back-button history in Big Box. As-in, if I launch Duck Hunt and then launch HotD after closing Duck Hunt, then the back button will take me from the HotD's game menu back to Duck Hunt's game menu. I.e. if I launch 5 games, then hitting back will bring me to the previous game's menu. Kind of like clicking back through a web browser's history.

    @TapeWorm Sure, if you want to skip navigating to the game menu before the game is launched then grab the latest version and replace the "launch" command with "launch_without_menu". One thing to keep in mind though, if you have a marquee and are using BigBox's default marquee support, then the marquee will not update correctly when you skip navigating to the game menu. You would have to switch to using the ThirdScreen plugin for the marquee to work correctly with this command.

    @Undertherainbow Thanks for the suggestion. You are correct that currently it will display one or the other and not overlay them. When I have time I'll look into it and see if it's something I want to add. The hardest part with adding options like this is usually how to keep the user interface simple (not so much the implementation).

    I created a playlist in Launchbox called "Pokemon" and created the script based on your example. I also double checked and I see the playlist in Big Box and the path was correct (again the game and platform scripts work great). 

    Any Thoughts?  

    @shrek6446 Glad to hear it's working for you. For the playlist shortcut that isn't working, can you provide the following:

    1. Please post the log file located at LaunchBox/Logs/StreamDeckGameLauncher.txt

    2. What is the full command line you are using?

    3. Open LaunchBox. right click on the playlist, choose edit, and send a screen shot of the Edit Playlist window.

    Sure, no problem. Let's work through it and then I'll update the instructions to be more clear.

    First off, you have to have both AutoHotKey and the Stream Deck App installed, but it sounds like you've done that already.

    Then create a one-line text file with extension ahk using the command you want from the instructions (replace anything in brackets with the correct value).

    Now close the script file, right click it, and choose "compile script". That should give you an executable file.

    Open the Stream Deck app and in the GUI drag the "open" action (the rocket ship icon) onto the button you want to use.

    Now on the App/File line, click the "Select a file" button.

    Select the executable file that you created above.

    At that point you should be able to press the Stream Deck button to run the command.

    There have been a few posts about crashes or running out of memory when running for a long time, but not everyone has those issues and I guess it's a hard thing to recreate and track down. In any case, after setting up this plugin on my own arcade I've been able to run it 24/7 for the last year without any issues. Prior to that I could only go a couple of days at most.

     

    The plugin closes BigBox and tells Windows to do the reboot. Windows handles gracefully shutting down any other open applications.

    My guess is that it should work fine on windows 7 but I've never tested it. However it will most likely crash at startup if you try to use it with Launchbox 9.7. It relies on some things (like rotating 3d box models for example) that weren't available in Launchbox back then.

    Ah, I see. That won't be possible with thirdscreen. It will only work if you launch the game from launchbox or bigbox.

    (Edit 12/17/2023: You can now use my "CLI Launcher" plugin to add stream deck shortcuts that launch games directly through LaunchBox/BigBox instead of RocketLauncher. ThirdScreen marquees and LED Blinky will get updated automatically.)

    Windows can get weird sometimes with display numbering. I'll add an option to bypass that check.

    @Truest1 Everything looks correct in your pictures. If you want them to be fullscreen, then enable stretch for your clear logos in ThirdScreen settings. Or there is also an option to disable the image blur background.

    But if you are asking for the image blur to show through the black background of the png, then that's not possible with this plugin. It's just a limitation of having been written using Forms instead of WPF.

    I tried to remove all Player's Edge Plus media, but got the same result.

    I accept the error, but it apears over and over again (about 20-30 times each time), and then after  processing more files, appears again.

     

    Can you send me the log file that it generated (LaunchBox/Logs/RenameLog.txt)?

    Thanks for the suggestion. There are no plans to implement it at the moment, but I'll add it to my list of possible future features (either the option to pin specific media to specific screens or at a minimum make sure they don't show the same media if there are multiple available for a category).

    This should already be supported. For normal media we get the paths from LaunchBox which already supports relative pathing within the LB folder or full paths if it's outside the LB folder.

    If you are referring to the special case of platform marquee videos, I believe I already handle those as relative as well (the media gets copied to a relative path within the LB folder when you import it).

  16. **** ANNOUNCEMENT ***   The latest LaunchBox beta release (13.3-beta-1) causes an issue where the ThirdScreen settings page might crash and corrupt your ThirdScreen settings. The plugin itself appears to be working just fine though, so if you are on beta releases just hold off on trying to go into the ThirdScreen settings page until I release a fix. It would also be a good idea to make a backup of LaunchBox/Data/ThirdScreenSettings.xml.

    Edit: This has been resolved with version 2.0.15 of the plugin.
