  1. LB/BB was working fine prior to update. This is the error I'm getting: CefSettings.BrowserSubprocessPath not found. App: Version: 12.13 Type: System.IO.FileNotFoundException Site: Boolean Initialize(CefSharp.CefSettingsBase, Boolean, CefSharp.IApp) Source: CefSharp.Core at CefSharp.Cef.Initialize(CefSettingsBase cefSettings, Boolean performDependencyCheck, IApp cefApp) at CefSharp.Cef.Initialize(CefSettingsBase cefSettings, Boolean performDependencyCheck, IBrowserProcessHandler browserProcessHandler) at Unbroken.LaunchBox.Windows.BigBox.App.PrintExporter(Object , Boolean , Object ) at Unbroken.LaunchBox.Windows.BigBox.App..ctor() at Unbroken.LaunchBox.Windows.BigBox.BigBoxProgram.Main() Recent Log: 1:32:41 PM Exception It is strongly recommended to close and restart Launchbox in order to prevent any additional issues. PC was restarted and error persists. Any help is appreciated.
  2. Updated to 12.12. and watched the video on YT that LB put up... or rather watched until I got the jist of how to import the bezel project images. However, after I "check none" for the game and emu movie images, instead of going to the bezel project screen where I can choose if I want Theme or System Bezels like the YT video shows, it goes right to the screen with three options to choose from (per the YT video I should select the middle option). Why is it skipping over the bezel screen?
  3. After posting this, I was able to figure it out... found something on Google about going into the updates folder and installing the latest update. That seemed to solve the problem and now all appears to be good and is opening properly.
  4. I have searched online and on these forums and cannot find any answer. Two days ago, I was using BB, playing games, etc. Closed BB so I could attend to some other things and when I went back to it later that day, I started up BB and it was starting fine. Got a message that an update was available. I declined to update at that time and LB/BB shut down and now it will not open. Not from the desktop shortcut icons nor directly from the exe files in the LB folder. I have since shutdown my cabinet since then and tried again today, thinking whatever was occurring might resolve itself, but no go. Not sure what to do from here. Any ideas? Running Windows 10
  5. When trying to enable a save state or at least access that menu, for some reason, I cannot. I had been playing Super Mario Bros 2 and it was playing fine then and now, but I cannot remember how to pull up the nestopia menu bar. If it's supposed to show automatically, it isn't. Have no idea what to do to resolve this. I've googled, you tubed and looked at this site and others and am not finding out why the menu bar is gone. Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

  7. Thanks again for all your help with this and other questions I've had. Things are coming together nicely thanks to you and others
  8. Thank you so much.... that put me on the path to how I wanted things to look. Now here's a question... does LB/BB allow us to replace the text with an image? For instance, I found a Wrestling Collection playlist theme that has nice graphics but when I go into that, everything is text based i.e. WWF Games, WCW Games, ECW Games, etc. Is it possible, instead of having that be text, be the promotion logos?
  9. What I'm hoping to be able to do is something like this.... primary folder is say Pro Wrestling Games. Within the primary folder is a sub folder, say WWE Games, a second sub folder WCW Games, third folder New Japan Pro Wrestling Games, etc. Similar idea for Superhero Games which might be the primary folder.... then I'd have sub folders for DC, Marvel, Image and Valiant. Each of those would have sub folders so DC might have Batman, Superman, Misc DC Heroes or Marvel might have Hulk, Spider-Man, X-Men, Misc Marvel Heroes, etc. Games that correspond to the specific sub-folders would be put there So in BB, I'd choose Pro Wrestling Games and have the choices of WWE Games, WCW Games, etc. Each their own folder with their respective games within. Is this something that can be done?

    How to use?

Thanks. That was helpful and I was able to figure it out with your guidance.

    How to use?

Was looking through the various playlist theme videos, platform theme videos and game theme videos, but after looking around in BB, I'm honestly not sure how to use these. Can someone provide some guidance? As well, what are badges?
  12. That helped. Thanks very much!
  13. As I added all the Mame games to LB and used the database and Emumovies, there are several/many games that have no images at all. I have verified that there are no images.... a game like 720 Degrees for instance. What is the best way to find or scrape these images when the normal import process doesn't work?
  14. Secondary question that I'm wondering about now.... as I move through games, in BB, say I'm at "C" and want to jump to "S". Short of going game by game, is there a way to use a keyboard to press S and it would jump to the start of the S games?
  15. I've done some searching but not finding the answer in a way that makes sense to me. I wanted to use Duckstation to emulate PS1 and was looking at the tutorial on YouTube for this and it discusses Retroarch. I have loaded most other emulators into LB w/o using Retroarch but am wondering its purpose. Why would I use Retroarch at all?
  16. As I move away from GameEx, one of the things that I was able to do was use the trackball to move through the list of platforms and games. That functionality is not currently working in LB/BB. Is there a setting somewhere to make this happen?
  17. I figured it out.... I think.... I haven't played it with all the themes and views yet but what I believe is happening, is when I unzipped the theme and put it in the Themes folder, it was still within a folder titled the name of the theme... so instead of Themes>Unified, it was Themes>Unified>Unified, then all the files... so it wasn't being read correctly. I figured it out because it seemed like the Critical Zone Default theme was making changes as I made changes to the platform or game wheel, but none of the other themes were so I looked at that folder to see what the difference was and that's when I discovered what was happening. I briefly tested one theme by correcting the folder path and that seems to have made a difference. Will try the others and check it out but think I'm on the right track....
  18. Hi, Been playing around with themes and it seems like in order to get a new theme to "work", I have to reboot my computer. Is there a way to refresh Big Box so that as I switch between themes and or views of a theme, it's apparent right away? I watched a video by ETA Prime on YouTube that was a basic primer for noobs with LB/BB and it appeared all he did was just hit the back button to exit the options and the theme changed, but that's not happening for me. What am I doing wrong?
  19. Thanks. Was able to figure it out with your suggestion. Appreciate it.
  20. I made the leap and upgraded to Premium.... have started making playlists but here's my question... can I put a list within a list. For example, if I create a pro wrestling playlist, can I have a subfolder for WWF games, another subfolder for WCW games, another for All-Japan games, etc? Or a Fighting games folder, with subfolders for Mortal Kombat, another for Street Fighter, another for Fatal Fury, etc.?
  21. Is the ability to create a playlist only if you've paid for premium or Big Box? I've looked based on the screen shots above and don't seem to have that ability with the free version.... just wondering.
  22. Thanks Lordmonkus. Looking forward to getting this set up!
  23. Hi all, I've looked through several of the YouTube video tutorials and like what I see. Currently, I have a cabinet with the usual MAME and main consoles set up using GameEx Arcade Edition as the front-end. While I like GameEx just fine, I like what I've seen with LaunchBox but have two main questions I'm trying to figure out and haven't found the clear cut answer I'm seeking: 1) Does LaunchBox allow me to make custom menus? If I want to create a menu for superhero games, or pro wrestling games, or Capcom games, or Taito games, etc., do I have the ability to do that and if so, am I able to add not only MAME games to that custom menu as well as console games? For instance, if I create a pro wrestling menu, can I add the various arcade wrestling games (i.e. WWF Wrestlefest, MatMania/Exciting Hour, etc.) as well as the various console releases such as WWF No Mercy, or WCW\NWO Revenge, etc? The version of GameEx I have does not allow this. 2) Currently, my roms all sit on one drive while my emulators sit on a different drive. Am I able to simply direct LaunchBox to where the roms are sitting or do they need to be moved and nested within a LaunchBox directory? I played a bit with EmulationStation and it appears the roms have to sit within EmulationStation's main folder. While moving or copying roms is not a big deal, I don't want to disrupt what I currently have set up with GameEx and would prefer to leave the roms where they are so they will continue to work with that front-end. I don't want to duplicate roms elsewhere thus wasting space. Hopefully what I'm saying makes sense. If these two functions can be done the way I'm envisioning it, then I'll be thrilled to buy LaunchBox/Big Box and move forward. Thanks for any forthcoming help.
