  1. Excellent! Thank you! I went into the "themes/unified redux/views" folder and in the "platformwheels1filtersview" file deleted the "<!-- FADING WHEEL -->" entry. Now it works exactly as I'd initially intended. Number of games in the playlist fades onto the screen, but the playlist wheel remains visible. As for the images, while I'd have loved to be able to scroll through the screenshots shown when on a game title, I at least found I could map the fullscreen images to a button on my Noir, so it at least saves the trouble of having to go into the submenu to get to them when browsing the library. After months of work I think this thing is finally pretty much good to go! Thanks for the help.
  2. Alright, well, moving right along to the next one: Is there any way to scroll through a game's images without making it fullscreen? I've found that besides entering a game's menu and selecting "view images in fullscreen" the "i" button has the same function from the selection wheel--again in fullscreen--which I can always map to one of the buttons on my cab's control panel... but my preference would be that pressing right/left would actually change the pic displayed from the menu instead of bringing up the alphabetic search bar (gonna have to find a way to disable that regardless). Again, if there is another theme that can accommodate me, I'm open to recommendations.
  3. Okay, sorry in advance for potentially stupid queries. I finally got launchbox fully set up with everything I need and just upgraded to Big Box. I was not expecting to have so much trouble with it, haha. So anyway, I'm using the Unified Redux theme, as I prefer the right oriented vertical wheel for selection, and I got it opening straight to my custom playlist view fine, but the problem is that when scrolling the playlists, it fades immediately to a black screen on each one. I know this is supposed to be a movie, should I choose to incorporate them, but even if I should at a later date, I prefer a few second delay, so I can at least scroll through the list unhampered. I did experiment with all the available "views" but both right-oriented vertical wheel options do this, while the games list themselves (once I pick a playlist) work as intended. If there is no way to disable/delay this fade to non-existent movie, can anybody recommend a theme that fits the same basic visual aesthetic? Thank you.
  4. Bumping just to say this fixed the problems I was having with both Hikaru and Cave. I've seen dozens of threads since of people stumped by this, so a real pity such an easy fix is buried in the sands of time. Thank you! (and to concur with kajunpoon, I wish a 4:3 fix was as readily available)
  5. I meant specifically for those that don't or with which it's faulty. I have to use several versions of some emulators for different games, and a few just don't respond to internal aspect ratio settings or lack them altogether. Likewise, using Reshade for Sinden Light Gun sets the border on fullscreen and I get (much!) better functionality having the game fit the border widescreen and then resizing the monitor/desktop to 4:3 than using bezels. As I said, the Nvidia control panel method is fairly fast (and less faulty than resizing via the Noir's control panel), so I was hoping to find some way to automate it without leaving launchbox. Best alternative I can think of if this can't be done is to find a universal remote that corresponds to the Noir's monitor and switch it manually, but it's black screened on me a few times doing this via the control panel and required me to switch the power off/on to get picture back (she's an old girl)--obviously not something I want to do once the computer is internally powered through the cab.
  6. Some of my games/emulators display only in stretched fullscreen despite being intended as 4:3. I've found the best way to play them as intended is by going into Nvidia control panel and under"Adjust desktop size and position" checking "enable desktop resizing" to effect GPU and setting it to 1440 x 1080. As I intend to eventually have the cabinet be a front-end only operation, my question is if there is some way to do the aforementioned Nvidia aspect ratio resize automatically through launchbox concurrently with launching a game? Like a batch file or something? And probably the harder part, to have it automatically change back to native widescreen when the game is closed? Any help is appreciated.
  7. Can anybody tell me if it's possible to configure Virtual On Orangutan with the original arcade twin stick controls in the Supermodel emulator? I spent over $100 on the stick and adapter to use it on my Noir, and now learn that most of the games I thought it was compatible with actually use analog and not digital controls. Figured, okay, at least there's the Virtual Ons.... And now I find that even changing controls in Model 3 is a tremendous pain in the ass, and VOOT uses a simplistic control scheme (one button to jump, turn, etc) and not the twin stick scheme that nature intended. So given that even getting the thing to work correctly with Cyber Troopers in Model 2 was a pain, I don't even know where to start with OT. If anybody can offer any help it would be greatly appreciated.
