  1. It’s true, plugins add so much value to LB, and it’s a shame that some aren’t supported anymore. It’s always great to see people contributing themes and features, even if their work isn’t fully appreciated. Those ideas you mentioned, like a Hi-Score display or a Fighting Game Move List overlay, would be awesome additions—especially if they were polished and officially supported. Hopefully, the devs will consider adding more advanced features in the future. And yeah, diving into theme creation sounds like a fun challenge—who knows, maybe you’ll create something that fills the gaps others have missed!
  2. Adding your own bezels for casino or fruit slots is such a cool way to personalize your gaming setup! It’s all about creating that immersive vibe that makes the experience more enjoyable. I’ve been really into exploring different slot themes lately, and bet88 is recommended casino has been a fun way to dive into creative and engaging options. It’s kind of inspiring when you see how much thought goes into the design of these games, and customizing your bezels just adds another layer to that creativity. Definitely a great way to make your setup stand out!
  3. Great to hear you resolved the issue! It sounds like selecting the right core made all the difference for the black screen problem, and closing RA before launching from LB was the key for the second issue. It’s always a bit of trial and error with setups like these, but sounds like you’ve got everything running smoothly now. Dropping your BIOS files into the system folder was a smart move too! If anything else pops up or you find a more efficient way to streamline things, feel free to share. Glad it’s working for you now!
  4. I’ve tried this approach too, and while it’s not perfect, it definitely works in a pinch. It’s nice to be able to adjust image types to keep everything consistent, especially when the default images don’t match the look you’re going for. I haven’t noticed any major issues with this in BigBox—images generally display as expected once they’re assigned a type. That said, it might be worth doing a quick test run with a small batch to make sure everything loads smoothly in your setup. Let me know if you run into any surprises—I’d be curious to hear how it goes!
  5. If you're just looking to add a few select comics to showcase an era, there are some good portable options for CBR/CBZ readers. While CDisplayEx itself doesn’t officially have a portable version, you can create one by copying its installation files to a USB drive. Alternatively, for an out-of-the-box portable option, YACReader and MComix are both solid choices.
  6. It sounds like you're really passionate about organizing your collection, and I totally get the challenge of keeping everything in one spot, especially when you're dealing with multiple libraries and formats. Having 2000 reading materials is already super impressive, and it’s more about the quality than the number anyway! It would be amazing if there was a smoother way to integrate Calibre with Launchbox. If a seamless solution for managing all that content in one place came along, I'd be right there with you, ready to dive in and streamline the process!
  7. It looks like you're missing some required NuGet packages. Try rebuilding the project or restoring the packages in Visual Studio to fix the issue. If that doesn't work, check the references in your project to ensure nothing is missing. You may also need to manually install any missing packages.
  8. Yeah, sounds like you're going through quite the trial-and-error process with the views! It’s tricky when things don’t display how you expect, especially with those repeated logos and categories. I think you're onto something with the default platform idea—automating that would save a lot of clicks! Maybe there's a tweak or setting that could simplify the flow.
  9. Oh, I totally get where you’re coming from, man! Itch.io has such a treasure trove of indie goodness, and I can see how not having that integration could be a bit of a deal-breaker for some. If you’ve got a whole collection of those gems, it makes sense you’d want to keep everything in one place, like LaunchBox, for that smooth, organized vibe. You’ve got a good point too — if people who love Itch.io can’t integrate it, they might not stick around long enough to be heard. But hey, it’s all about balance, right? Whether LaunchBox wants to keep vibing with the current crowd or expand and grow, both paths are valid. Wishing the devs peace, clarity, and some cool future updates! ✌️🎮
  10. I totally feel your frustration! It would be awesome if Launchbox could handle comics, manga, and light novels with the same ease it does games. Having to manually input covers, metadata, and logos for everything really does get old fast. A plug-in that taps into CHAOS’s library for that would be a perfect solution—keeping Launchbox focused on games but giving those of us who want to integrate comics or manga an optional tool to make it easier. And yeah, the ability to differentiate between specific eras of characters, like the Blue Beetle example, would be a lifesaver for organization.
