  1. I realize this isn't a LaunchBox issue, but was still hoping someone could gimme some tips. I'm getting this error constantly when I launch Steam: Connection-Error-1.jpg I've set my Modem/Router's (Xfinity Technicolor TC8305C) Firewall Security Level to Low, and forwarded Ports 27000-27050 (TCP & UDP) to my PC's IP Address (10.0.0.4) on the Router. None of that helped, but most likely because I don't know what I'm doing. Laugh Any ideas from someone who does know what they're doing? Smile Thanks.
  2. When I'm browsing the games on my PS3, some of 'em have a little repeating video-clip (w/sound, sometimes) for the 'icon'. That might be an interesting option for LaunchBox. Naturally, you'd want to be able to select whether you wanted an available video-clip for the game icon, or just the static icon. I dunno, maybe that's a lot of overhead, but with recent hardware power, I believe it's feasible. You could, of course, only display an animation for the selected icon (not all icons on the screen, as that might be "too busy", anyway). I think it could be cool...
  3. Well, Derek, this could solve that bordered-monitor thing in a fun way (78" screen, by the way): Samsung-SUHD-TV-4K.jpg I'd really like one of these. Dream on, Self... Laugh Here's the link for it. You may wanna sit down before you look at the price, though. Wink Due to the 'Exit Doors' and the elevator with nearby fire extinguisher (stairs on the right appear a bit commercial, too), I'm gonna guess he's in some sort of office building. But, I believe John Q. Public can buy one. Maybe here. But, I'm sure you're quite correct as to them being expensive (that Website makes ya call for a price, so ya know it's gonna be crazy) and large. I suspect they'd make that TV's price look like 'chicken-feed'.
  4. I do, but I'm not too good at them. One of these days, I'd really like to buy somethin' such as this. Then, I'm sure I'd get into Racing Sims heavily. I can't drive worth a crap with a regular game controller. Frown Racing-Sim-Seat.jpg
  5. If you like deck-building card games, this may be of interest to you. Here's a link to their Website, if ya wanna download the free 'digital version', or just check-out the game: Star Realms The physical card game rated 4.8 stars (outta 5) on Amazon (well over 200 votes - I know, not a lot of votes, but a still a good rating). P.S. The 'digital version' has a nice Tutorial, too.
  6. I thought this was a pretty cool idea. I especially liked the fact that Samsung probably spent their own money to do it. Granted, they can easily afford it, and it may even be valuable advertising/marketing, but I still liked it.
  7. Jason Carr said I'm with you, ps4. Society today, especially American society, gets everything wrong. From parenting, to diet, to healthcare, to security; there is little that is done well. I tend to believe it has something to do with a society run entirely by money, but that's just a hypothesis.
Ah, yes! It's all about the money (and always has been). The Illuminati/New World Order. Frown If you think it's not all about the money, you're in denial! Wink Check-out Zeitgeist: The Movie A bit old now, but a great Conspiracy-type movie (there are good sequels, too). The 3rd segment is about finance. A case-in-point (barely): Most people think the Federal Reserve is some sort of money-controlling Federal agency. Not hardly! It's privately owned, and sticks it to us on a regular basis. But that's another story. IMHO, parenting is one of the most important (and difficult (to get it right)) jobs there is. But, in our lame society (however, in the world scheme of things, I suppose our society isn't so bad), that's one of the few jobs where you don't need the slightest bit of qualifications, so, the best losers our society can generate are crankin'-out more and more losers at an alarming rate, and the 'rocket scientists', well, they're crankin'-out 'geniuses' much more slowly. Frown Doh! But, I'll call it quits for now, before I really start ranting. Smile An ornery, ol' cuss such as myself, can easily get on a 'negative roll'. Wink
  8. ps4isthefuture said I have 162 computers builds under my belt but the last 60 or so have been AMD.
Whoa, that's an impressive numbers of PC builds, ps4isthefuture! I've probably done that many OS/Software builds, but not even a tenth of that for hardware builds.
