  1. I know for the games on my SD (almost all 8 and 16 bit) they play fine with no issues but due to the systems limitations I've never tried any of the systems you mentioned on these machines so can't really guess about the performance

  2. Its a factual thing that the speeds on SD/microSD are slower than USB 3.0, that said I have 2 tablets using microSD for LB and they are adequate I guess as the specs are low and expecting lightening quick speed would be silly. In BB mode loading images is a slow down on the tablets I've never thought about it being the cards fault and just blamed it on the low system specs but that could be contributing to the issue. Have you tried messing with the power settings for your USB in Device Manager you can usually tell the PC not to power down ports and that could keep your drive from spinning down.

  3. Hello and welcome to the community! Its been said by the dev that Windows 10 is the best OS for LB supposedly some of the .net code is optimized for it (or something like that) but with that said there are plenty of folks here still using Windows 7 without any issues.

When BB is freezing it is probably actually just losing focus and a mouse click or alt tab will refocus it

  4. You would have to request that be added. If you are referring to the check box already there in associated platforms for default emulator that only effects the platform when you are importing games so unchecking that has no relevance to what emulator you are currently using and would only auto populate that field if you where to import more ROMs for that platform.

  5. Okay if you want to edit your default emulator for the platform go to the platform select a game and then press ctrl+a then press ctrl+e this will open the bulk edit wizard when you get to the form in the wizard with the drop down box type e and choose emulators then change it to your other emulator. Now all of your SNES games will use the other emulator.

To completely remove Retroarch from the launch with menu go to manage emulators choose RetroArch and edit it. Go to the associated platform tab on the form and remove the SNES platform entry.

  6. Hey this took 3 hours to correct manually I'd like to see an option to change drive letters for all folders in a platform at once and even  a global option to edit all of you folder paths in the manage emulator section in case you wanted to say use the same media on multiple pc's via a network server or something. I know it would have really helped today. What XML could I have edited to change these all in bulk I looked around but didn't see it in platforms

  7. I'm really sorry about this but I think I may have actually moved the LB folder from C: to A: with in the last month or so and never edited my paths then I didn't play with it on that PC for a few weeks so it was showing the cached images until I tried to play the games and LB didn't actually do anything wrong I'm just having a marijuana moment where my brain is frazzled feel free to remove all those posts.

  8. yeah they require the bios for the systems which are already included in the full sets and they also require that you setup command line to name the system and the media type so for example Atari 5200 is a5200 -cart a5200 being the bios name and -cart is the media type

  9. here are a few screen shots 1st is my media path for my N64 platform as you can see it is set to A drive59d6d70632cb4_Folderpath.thumb.png.30d202c01187676bd92183461d4c6f21.pngNext is LB displaying N64 box fronts LBDisplayingMedia.thumb.png.72a9de3fe07189840f77ec819958fbae.pngThen a shot of the folder paths LB has set incorrectlyPlatformFolders.thumb.png.6316951d55089771ba7c57be30255287.pngAnd lastly the platform showing 007 after I launched it and now the media is gone but it still remains for the other games until they are updatedGameBoxRemoved.thumb.png.0b53e62524ceb482dd129d607786ba12.pngI know its always said that nothing in the update messes with your paths or folders but that is exactly what has happened to me here.

  10. I just had an issue where i open LB and I can see all my media NP then if I click a game to play or edit the media disappears. So I checked it out and it seems that although LB has been on my A: drive always all the platform data has been now been set to C:\LaunchBox and I don't know how this happened. So basically switching from beta 1 to beta 2 is when I notice this issue now I don't know what to do I really dread having to change the path to every media category in LB in order to get it working again. @Jason Carrany clue as to what could be causing this?
