    I grew up in the Atari/NES era so I don't play those games anymore. Is there a build designed just for 16x9?

    I found the panel definition; Line 97 of WheelGamesView.xaml so I'll play around and see if there's a way I can get this to display without any stretching (don't care if there are black bars as long as the aspect ratio is correct)

    I'll see what I can do, in the next day or so.

  2. I see what you are speaking of. I have not written a 16:9 version on the Game Wheel View yet.

    Unfortunately, this is not something I can directly fix across the board, I can only supply alternate views for the 2 different resolutions (4:3 and 16:9). The problem with this is if you use the theme for anything 4:3 presentation then those would be squished, so it's one or the other at this point.

    I am hoping for some support in the way the images and videos are stretched so that they scale uniformly to the container they are in.   @Jason Carr

    Thanks!! Works great now, looks awesome. This is gonna be my main theme. Its so slick looking. Is there a way to get rid of the box outline or will that have to be done in an update?

    The update will fix this.

  4. I've noticed my DPI setting effect text size in big box  altering theme presentation fairly significantly. Could a setting be added to disable DPI in the options menu?

    Open PlatformWheelImageDetailsThumbsFiltersView.xaml and change the line under,

    <!--BEGIN FULLSCREEN BACKGROUND VIDEO-->

    From this

     <Grid Grid.Column="5" Grid.Row="0" Grid.ColumnSpan="15" Grid.RowSpan="12">

    to this

    <Grid Grid.Column="5" Grid.Row="1" Grid.ColumnSpan="15" Grid.RowSpan="10">

    I would recommend making a copy of the theme folder and edit the copy, just incase anything goes wrong. It should be fine but better safe than sorry.

    Thanks for posting that neil9000.

    I am planning a possible 16:9 version of the theme, I may do a separate theme or just build it into an existing view. I'll decide Wednesday.

    Alternative Views

    Alternative view are views requested by users that alter the default theme. I try to fulfill requests if they are reasonable but may not update the files in newer iterations.

    *use at your own risk*

    Futurestate no info wheelgamesview.zip - This is a 4:3 Game View that removes all text over top of the game video.

    Futurestate Themes

    *Download the skins in the Themes download tab

    There are a few variations for skinning Futurestate in the works. To use these create backup of your existing Images/Theme folder and copy the contents of the zip files over top of the original locations.

    Put my Photoshop skills to the test! Request one and I will see what I can do!

    **These files over write the default Futurestate skin!

  7. I have been working on a new theme titled Futurestate. Figure I would post a screenshot of what I have completed so far.

    The theme is based around the Minimal Theme as I really enjoyed the aesthetic.

    I have implemented Gaussian Blur and drop shadows in a few subtle places and as well implemented a blend around the wheel so that it fades towards the edges. I have also built some custom Icons for Game Statuses; Favorite, Broken, Completed.

    Expect a initial release by the weekend with a system and game menu completed.

  8. I have been trying to import 32x games on the new beta and it will not download any metadata using the 'Download Metadata and Images' option. If I right click on each game and search thegamesdb it will find them and download just fine but this can only be done for each individual game. Also, cool too see the videos working, how feasible would it be to set the video as the background of each game?
  9. I love how LaunchBox currently allows you to sort by different categories and even allows custom filters. I was wondering if it was possible to allow LaunchBox to have multiple categories on the Navigation Pane at once? I understand the same results could technically be achieved by using custom filters but with considerable more effort. launchbox.png This little mock up shows what I mean by combining a 'Custom Filter' view with the 'Systems' view. The plus button would allow the user to add an additional category.
