  1. Zelda Ultima The Stand alone Big Box Custom

A small patch related to untranslated elements in the backgrounds will arrive very soon! .
For the game metadata it seems to me that there were 2 or 3 omissions do not hesitate to edit when you can.

    Welcome to you, young adventurer!

This virtual collection is an ode to zelda fans! A series that was particularly close to my heart and to which I paid tribute by covering the entire saga in 2019,
even going so far as to completely recreate certain intros from the time.
Hyrule and me, it's an old love story. I used them, Pegasus or lead boots, in the kingdom of the three goddesses!
Always rummaging here and there, looking for a hidden chest, a missing piece of heart, or just a cave to explore, for the simple pleasure of discovery.
The Legend of Zelda is, in my eyes, the very definition of "video game". Despite its faults, its limits, and the general evolution of the video game sector,
the series retains an incredible charm that regularly pushes me to start over this or that episode.
It's a bit like the TriForce and its heroes, the license seems cut off from time and any form of reality.
It doesn't matter that open-worlds are always more complex, that action/adventure games and A-RPGs feature better-written people.
They don't have the trick. The thing that for 30 years, all generations find themselves waiting impatiently for the next episode, with excitement
    My favorite episode?
Undoubtedly Link's Awakening, an incredible marvel full of surprises and poetry.
I hope you will enjoy browsing through this collection as much as I enjoyed making it.
May the series continue to amaze us even more, in the same way that it has succeeded so far!

    Good visit !
    Pad

    The story.
Zelda Ultima 1st version was just a simple playlist!
Started in 2019 with a series of themes quickly I felt a little cramped: I had a ton of media that I couldn't exploit, so I diverted the launchbox
from its usual mechanism to dedicated it to my fetish series,
so it's a completely complete and independent big box, all you have to do is integrate your roms / your paths.

Here are some points to keep in mind:
It's a stand alone, (a whole big box dedicated to Zelda)
*Everything is localized in English ! ( with a few exceptions)
*I advise you, once downloaded, to immediately force the cache at the image level!
The theme will then be optimized to the maximum and you will avoid pixelated wheels/icons)
    *In terms of controls:
R3 (so the right stick of the controller) will become your friend since you will see that you will navigate a lot between views, using the V keyboard to change views.
    * The addition of a timeline: I would have done the whole timeline but time was against me. So I contented myself with the gametrailer timeline (made 16 years ago!) that I reassembled and adapted to the interface.
    * Additions Made fans + their dedicated theme and icons, here you go with: solarus and parallel worlds which was shouted out for;)
*2 view new views for the main menu see 3 if we count the full screen
*2 New pre-launch view including one inspired by pegasus (the frontend) and "the poch" the faeran theme.
*I have included 3 slots for for launch the playable demos of the "Ocarina of time remake "projects in the hidden chest sections with gameplay video!
Here the link ( public demo):
    Aaran : Here
    CryZenX : Here
    Yiannis papazis : Here
*Remember to install the fonts in the font launchbox folder!
*A bunch of short films are waiting for you in the hidden chest section  Approuved By RWANLINK

    19gb ?!

    32 unzip!
    Why such a weight?
All the backgrounds are animated by hand with a simple key or a blade of grass everything moves!
So it's a lot of video but for me it was necessary and it contributes greatly to the general atmosphere of this box.
-Part of the backgrounds were created via cinema 4d which I then animated
-I integrated bonus music sections, artist short films and youtubers my approach was resolutely to highlight these shadow artists!

    Transi 2-3.mp4
-A launch theme is integrated (thanks to faeran for the help)
-I created and integrated a sound pack it was essential.

Patch me in 4k ! What?
Many themes are set to accommodate the henriko magnifico 4k patches!
Henriko has been patching many nintendo games for almost 7 years!
And the work is pretty crazy since it's not content to simply upscale, it replaces and retextures all the big titles of nintendo
    and more particularly the zeldas.
I'll leave it to you to take a look
    https://www.henrikomagnifico.com/

    Ready for the adventure?
    Download all the zip !
    1) Extract all files in same time ( ctrl + a== extract here or to)
    2) Install the fonts! It's important For the overall atmosphere but also to avoid display problems.
3)You will find all launch themes here:

    4) The icons are already integrated but if necessary they are here:

    Crédits :

To all my contributors (ancient or new) without whom all this would not be possible!
    A big thank you guys ! @CMOSS @Thornback @bliberche@funnyconers @AlabasterSlim @Retroid84
° A big thank you to Rachid lotf "my sensai" for these numerous borrowings of arts that I was able to animate, these advices, his encouragements and his accessibility.
Nintendo to delight us for more than 35 years now with this cult saga!
Thank you to the whole launchbox community and more particularly to @Jason Carror remaining so accessible and all his work in the back office(error -200 grr!),
@y2guru and this completely crazy creation without whom I wouldn't produce as much today and
especially to the talented @faeran who inspired me a lot!

Here is I hope that you will take as much pleasure to travel this first ultima
as much as I enjoyed designing it!
And above all, come and tell me about your impressions!
    Negative or positive, I take!
And finally if after all , don't hesitate to support via my patreon, for my many other projects here for Zelda it's all in all, it's most 4 years of work. ..
But the adventure continues and many other projects are already finished or to come:
    https://www.patreon.com/padcinematic_prod
(since I planned  five  another Ultima Resident Evil ( already release), Castlevania, Mario, Metal Gear and Final Fantasy  )

  3. Flikbox

This is very my first attempt at making a Big Box theme from scratch using the Community Theme Creator. I had previously fiddled around with other people's themes to get a feel for the software. I made this for a friend who wanted a familiar, easy to read theme similar to how he has his Kodi set up. I've based this on a simple, Netflix type of layout, trying to be basic while still giving all the info you need as fast as possible.
I don't consider the theme finished. Some of the views aren't as good as I want (in particular the vertical wheels) but I'm hoping to sort them when the next version of CTC is released and brings with it wheel improvements. I haven't really delved deep into Playlists and stuff either, although it should be perfectly serviceable.
The theme works best with video snaps rather than any type of themed video. I might release a version without videos for those who prefer just screenshots.
    VIEWS INCLUDED:
    System
    Text List
    Wall
    Coverflow
    Horizontal Wheel (boxes)
    Horizontal Wheel (logos)
    Vertical Wheel (boxes)
    Vertical Wheel (logos)
I've used the awesome system logos from Dan Patrick found here and brilliant system boxes from Styphelus found here. Many thanks to them for their hard work. I originally forgot to credit Viking for the system images found here, thanks very much. Also, it uses the Source Sans Pro free typeface which is included in the zip. Also, of course, thanks to y2guru for the Community Theme Creator, and Faeran's very helpful Youtube videos.

  7. COLORFUL bigbox theme

    !! Colorful 2.0 has been released !!
A HUGE thx to @faeran who completely rebuild the theme code from scratch. 🙌 🙏
Colorful is too much work for me alone. @faeran kindly offered to take charge of the theme dev and to migrate under the Community Theme Creator by @y2guru !! Awsome !
Concerning myself, I will be able to concentrate on what I know how to do: graphics.   (Video set, theme view ... and more)

    # WHAT IS COLORFUL MEDIA SET ?
COLORFUL is a complete and coherent high quality graphic set, around a unique design. Made with love in France. I hope you like it ! ?
    Here are planned development axes:

COLORFUL Theme : The main hub, a unique interface for BigBox. COLORFUL Platform Video : Complete 4K video set, with a unique design. COLORFUL Source : To involve the community in the platform video creation. COLORFUL BigBox Startup Video : custom video to match the general design. (new) COLORFUL Startup Theme : (soon) COLORFUL Pause Theme : (soon)
    # HERE IS COLORFUL THEME FOR BIGBOX:
On this page we are talking about COLORFUL Theme for BigBox:
Design for work with my platform video set, COLORFUL THEME is thought to be used on the big screen (TV) in gaming console mode.
Modern, elegant and animated are the key words of this interface.
The COLORFUL project is getting too big for me alone.
@faeran  has taken over the source code of the theme. A BIG THANKS to you for your support and your precious help !!

    # IN DETAIL ?
    The main features :
16:9 only. (Works on other ratio, but with black bands) Full 4K asset. (Any resolution must work, 4K assets) Totally responsive. No resolution deformation on text size or placement. Because of the white/black background, some ClearLogo comes with the theme. Gamepad connection indicator & battery level.
    # RECOMMENDATION ?
Any design choice gives limitations. Here are some recommendations for this theme :
LaunchBox/BigBox up to date. VLC highly recommended. Design for work with COLORFUL platform video set. (but you can use any video you what) Beware of full white/black ClearLogo. They will be invisible on Light/Dark views! I didnt test this theme on a lowend configuration. There may be slowdown. (Curious to have your feedback on this subject!)
    # COOL, HOW TO DOWNLOAD ?
    2 ways :
In Windows : Right here, with the download button. Extract the "Colorful" folder and place it in your "LaunchBox/Themes" directory.   (dont rename it!)  In BigBox : Option > Theme manager > Found "COLORFUL - Light" or "COLORFUL - Dark".
    # HOW TO EDIT ?
You can now edit this theme within the COMMUNITY Theme Creator, using the COMMUNITY Theme Creator files below (current version from the CTC 2.3):
Colorful Light - COMMUNITY Theme Creator Files - Colorful - Light - 2.01 - COMMUNITY Theme Creator Files.zip Colorful Dark - COMMUNITY Theme Creator Files - Colorful - Dark - 2.01 - COMMUNITY Theme Creator Files.zip
    # SPECIAL THANKS !
@Jason Carr for his hard work on LaunchBox/BigBox! Thx man! @faeran for his hardwork on this theme and all other one !  @y2guru for the awsome Community Teme Creator ! To all Patreon guys! A GIANT THANKS to all of you!!! ? The whote community for yout support! # CREDITS !
@Jason Carr for LaunchBox/BigBox. @faeran for the all theme code. @y2guru for the Community Theme Creator ! @Grila for Grila's Custom BigBox Controls.  @eatkinola for Ao.Bigbox.Themer.  @RedSnake for Games.Genre Converter. 8. Dark Bounce

This theme uses a dark rock wall background with blue-ish white shadows. This one works great on larger gaming rigs and folks that have their gaming media stored on a NAS. The video below was made on my main rig with 22,000+ games and all the media and roms being stored on NAS using mapped drives, Launchbox was installed on mechanical HDD.
The video does much better showing the theme than the screenshots. (the bouncing and the slides)
I used my custom icons for genres, play modes, number of players, custom controllers, etc..
I designed this one mainly for Large Screens and TVs (16:9), but this time I created it in Stretch Mode in CTC. This is the first theme I have tried using the Stretch mode, so if you run into strange looking issues let me know, preferably with screenshots, I am not sure how to properly test the other screen ratios yet, but from I was able to do, the theme was looking decent on the different views in CTC.
This time I put a more focus on the Arcade (MAME) platform, using game specific Arcade Cabinets and the Arcade Controls (looks will depend on your artwork) as well as play modes specific to the Arcade platform. (the ones like 2-Player Alternating or 2-Player Simultaneous) if you use them.
My custom Genre Icons have grown to over 300+ now (includes the PS template to make more if you need them) and I have over 100 controller images in this theme.
The Platform audio I used was a male voice. I increased the volume a bit and added some reverb.
Video: (wall views in video are showing original version, version 2 is different-see changelog below)

    Installation:
Download, unzip, copy the folder "Dark Bounce" into your Launchbox "Themes" folder.
The Windows Media Player in Bigbox will work best with this theme
You can also set the theme up to show if the game can be played in Virtual Reality, Online, PvP, etc. if you want. Artwork is included and already in place. Instructions for setting up the 4-5 custom fields can be found on my "Game On" theme page. (https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/3256-game-on/). It's pretty simple.
Thanks goes out to @y2guru, @faeran for there awesome contributions to CTC/LB/BB work and videos. Also @viking for his great stuff as well as @RetroNi. Some of the logos and videos used from their contributions. And of course anyone else I may have un-intendedly forgot to mention.
Leave comments and suggestions and I'll see what I can do. Spring is here, so gonna be slowing down with this stuff. If I can keep away from it
-Enjoy & thanks for trying the theme!

  10. Arcade Floor

Arcade Floor Theme for BigBox 1.01
    by chinagreenelvis
Arcade Floor is designed for use and visibility on a traditional arcade cabinet CRT or television set in 4x3 but will stretch to any aspect ratio. It relies entirely on the text-based menu system and works well with Platform Categories views for those who take advantage of custom playlists and sub-lists for platforms.
Game fanart backgrounds will display in the games details view if they are enabled in the background priorities list in the LaunchBox settings.
To create your own background images for non-included platforms, a Photoshop file has been included in the Arcade Floor DIY Backgrounds ZIP file. Just place the background image of your choice into the platform folder layer and the vaporwave overlay will give it the right look. Exported images must go into two folders: Arcade Floor/Media/Platforms and Arcade Floor/Images/Platforms/Fanart.
Theme colors (purple and blue hues) are produced entirely by the background images, so if you want to create a whole new look, you can subsitute your own backgrounds by replacing those images. Deleting the images entirely will default each view to the images in the Aracdian/Media/Backgrounds folder.
In order to prevent audio from game videos from continuing to play when entering games details view or scrolling through the list, try setting the video playback engine in Big Box to Windows Media Player instead of VLC.
Most of Arcade Floor was made with the Community Theme Creator for BigBox 2.3 and is compatible with LaunchBox 12.9 as of this version.
    Get the CTC here: https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/2115-community-theme-creator-for-bigbox/
    ////////////////////
    1.01:
This version contains a modified (simplified) version of the Random Game Selector by G-rila (https://github.com/G-rila/BigBoxRGS). In any games menu, hold right in order to get a pop up item for randomly selecting a game. Pressing the select button in the pop-up will automatically begin a random game from your current playlist.

The CTC files for version 1.00 do not include the code for this plugin, but you get can get the DLL from 1.01 and re-add it to TextGamesView.xaml after publishing by following the instructions on GitHub. The secondary grid code for this theme is slightly different than the example provided:
    <Grid x:Name="RGSGrid" HorizontalAlignment="Left" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="{Binding ElementName=Canvas, Path=ActualWidth}" Height="{Binding ElementName=Canvas, Path=ActualHeight}" RenderTransformOrigin="0.5,0.5" Panel.ZIndex="1000" > <bbrgs:RGSv2_0 HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Center" ShowGameDetails="False" ShowGameNotes="False" CheckForUpdates="True"/> </Grid>

  11. Light

There were no themes I liked except part of one faeran made called Radiance so I took the game view from that and made a platform view to compliment it and that's all it is. It's very stripped-down.
It's made for me so there's a limited amount of platforms (it's popular console/handheld only) with no text lists or sound or videos and is ideally suited for 2D box art. If you want to make it work for you in some way, you might have to do some xml editing. I don't even know how to edit those myself - Consequently, it's not set up perfectly in the games view, text could be aligned better there for some platforms and better box art spacing but I don't plan to make any revisions of this. Hopefully there's no major problems.
The theme also matches my old Game & Watch stuff (although the game title isn't aligned well on that system because of all the different box sizes) and also my Game Boy overlays for Retroarch - Links here
Again, thanks to faeran and the Community Theme Creator. Attached some sample images.

CoinOP is a BigBox theme based on Pezley's arcade theme concept. It's my take on a 1080p version of it.
This theme is specifically designed to be used with an Arcade build, for 4:3 video snaps, and marquees.

Want to make your own Marquee? Use this file for an example:

Make sure you right click the zip file, choose properties, and unblock the file.
Then extract the CoinOP directory into the Launchbox\Themes folder.

Vertical Platform View 1 Vertical Games Wheel 1 - basic view with animated Game Graphic (png/gif) Text Games View - basic text view with animated Game Graphic (png/gif)
Each game can have its own unique Game Graphic. This graphic will animate next to the arcade. Each game can only have 1 graphic.
There are 3 rules to making the Game Graphic appear in the theme:
    1. The file name needs to match the Launchbox Database ID number of the game.
    2. The file can be either PNG or GIF (allowing for animated GIFs).
    3. The file needs to be located in the following directory: Launchbox\Themes\CoinOP\Media\GameGraphics\[Launchbox DB ID].png

To find the LaunchBox DB ID, you must first have the game in your gaming library. Open up LaunchBox and search for the game. Right click the game and choose Edit. The LaunchBox DB ID number will be located in the top right.

  14. Play Box 6

This is Play Box 6, A redesign of the Play Box series as usual but with a more modern & elegant feel which looks fantastic on a large living room TV. This time i spent long hard months on this theme using the Community Theme Creater for the first time trying to get the Fan Art for Recently Played items/Shortcuts on Home Screen to work from the ThumbnailListView file. It was designed in a screen resolution of 1920x1080 with Windows Scale & Layout settings at 100% so hopefully it should work with other screen resolutions.
I decided not to include the videoborder views from previous Play Box Themes this time to keep the file size down. Play Time Tracking & Badges have now been added.
Make sure you Refresh all images in BigBox options/Image Cache.
This theme is highly customisable as there are many Platform & Games views to choose from all with changeable menu controls, British/European & American Movie & Game age rating images,  Avatar pictures for your profile & you can even put your own name with your avatar.
    INSTALLATION
Download the zip file and unblock it (right click the zip file, goto "Properties" then at the bottom put a tick in the "Unblock" box, hit ok when done) then extract the folder to --\Launchbox\Themes\Setting up Steam Banners
Make sure you set Platform & Game images as Steam Banners within the game options in Launchbox. Then for them to be used in the theme correctly set the priority of the boxes view to prioritise Steam Banners first - if you ever want to revert this it is then simply a case of lowering the priority of the steam banners in the boxes list rather than having to remove or reorganise images. To do this open Launchbox and go to Tools --> Options and in the window that appear select Box Front Properties in the Images section and use the Up button to move the Steam Banners to the top of the list. This worked well for me but when it came to my Movie, Music Platforms & Playlists they were not showing any images so i used the Box Front Covers as Steam Banners by selecting Box Front Properties in Launchbox options & selected Steam Banner after i copied & pasted all my Movie & Music box images from Box Fronts folders to the corresponding Steam Banner folders.
Included in my theme is alternative control layouts for Microsoft Xbox & Sony Playstation consoles, a collection of steam Banners for games of various platforms & a collection of Movie Box Images, Clear Logos & Background Wallpapers to get you started with as there is no way for Launchbox to download Movie & Music metadata.
    Menu Controls Instructions
Copy & Paste the Menu Control images from the Alternative Customisable Content/Menu Control folders to Play Box 6/Images/Theme folder.
    Game Age Ratings Instructions
Copy & Paste the Game Age Rating images for your region from the Alternative Customisable Content/Age Rating folders to Play Box 6/Images/Game Age Ratings folder.
    Movie Age Ratings Instructions
Copy & Paste the Movie Age Rating images for your region from the Alternative Customisable Content/Age Rating folders to Play Box 6/Images/Movie Age Ratings folder.
    Avatar & Username Instructions
Copy & Paste one of the Avatar pictures from the Alternative Customisable Content/User Avatar folders to Play Box 6/Images/Theme folder & replace.
For editing the User name texts on Home Screen & Options Screen to input your own names go to Play Box 6/Views folder & open any of the PlatformWheelFiltersView files & the SystemView file with any simple text editing program such as Notepad. Now locate the Username section where it says
Text="User" you can delete the text User & Input other text like your name then save, Below is an example.

  15. Retro Bedroom - [Theme Stream]

    Retro Bedroom
I create a brand new theme based around a childhood bedroom from the late 80s, early 90s. This is my take on the infamous bedroom theme. Like always, you can download both the Big Box theme files, along with the COMMUNITY Theme Creator files (which allows you to edit the theme to your liking using y2guru's COMMUNITY Theme Creator).
This theme includes everything to start you off reliving your childhood memories. Included are a batch of poster advertisements, and video advertisements for over 40 systems.
Come for the nostalgia, stay for the lava lamp.

    Watch this theme being built:

    Instructions
Retro Bedroom - Theme.zip - BigBox theme. Place extracted folder in your LAUNCHBOX\Themes folder Retro Bedroom - COMMUNITY Project files.zip - Creator Project files. Place extracted folder in your COMMUNITY\My Theme Projects folder
This theme only works on version 10.15 and above due to its reliance on some new bindings!

  18. Eclipse

    Eclipse
Eclipse for BigBox is a different kind of theme.  Rather than using the normal theme engine, it uses a plug-in to build the user interface from the ground up.  The goal for this plug-in is to provide:
Netflix style user interface with multiple lists of games on the screen at one time Voice search Random game function
    Platform list view

    Game detail view

    Options for categorizing games

    Startup theme

    Shutdown theme

    Attract mode (screen saver)

    Demo

    Installation Instructions
    1. Download: https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/3220-eclipse/
    2. Extract the contents to a folder
    3. Inside the Eclipse folder is a folder called LaunchBox
    4. Copy the Plugins, StartupThemes, and Themes folders
    5. Go to your Launch Box installation folder and paste the copied folders
    6. Open Big Box
    7. Esc to get to options
    8. Select Options > Views
    9. Set Theme to Eclipse
    10. Set Platforms List View to Platform Wheel 1
    11. If you want to use the startup theme, Options > Game Startup
        - Uncheck Show "Loading Game..." Message
        - Check Enable Startup Screen
        - Startup Theme: Eclipse
        - Minimum Startup Screen Display Time: 5 seconds
        - Maximum Startup screen Display Time: 5 seconds
        - Check Hide Mouse Cursor on Startup Screens
    12. Go back - the first time the theme starts will take a long load time to generate the image cache
    13. NOTE - If you get any errors, you can check the log file called Eclipse.txt in your LaunchBox folder and message me on the forums to let me know
    General usage
    - Up, Down, Left, Right - moves around
    - Enter - selects something
    - Escape - cancel or go back - pressing it will get you back to the BigBox settings where you can exit the application
    - Page Up - pick a random game
    - Page Down - voice search
    Bezels
    - Bezel images can be displayed around the preview videos
    - The system will first look for a game specific bezel. If not found, it will look for a platform specific bezel. If not found, it will look for a default bezel.
    - A few default bezels are provided with the installation. You can delete them from the folders specified below if you prefer the videos without bezels.
    Game specific bezels
    - The system tries to find a game specific bezel image in the following order:
    1. In plug-in media directory:
    ..\LaunchBox\Plugins\Eclipse\Media\Bezels\{PLATFORM}\{CleanGameTitle}.png
    - Here {CleanGameTitle} replaces any invalid characters with an underscore. Characters like ' and : cannot appear in file names so they are replaced with an underscore
    - For example: A bezel file for the game "19XX: The War Against Destiny" should have the following path and file name ..\LaunchBox\Plugins\Eclipse\Media\Images\Arcade\Bezel\19XX_ The War Against Destiny.png
    MAME bezels
    - If a game specific bezel isn't found in the plug-ins media folder as described above, then the program will look into the MAME installation folder. In order for MAME bezels to work, installing the bezel project for MAME would create files with this structure:
    ..\LaunchBox\Emulators\MAME\artwork{game.ApplicationFilePath}"Bezel.png"
    Retroarch bezels
    - Bezels installed by the bezel project for retroarch will go into a folder location like this:
    ..\LaunchBox\Emulators\Retroarch\overlays\GameBezels{RetroarchPlatform}{game.ApplicationFilePath}.png
    Platform specific bezels
    - These are used if there are no game specific bezels found
    - You can specify a different image for horizontally and vertically oriented games so that they fit appropriately
    - The platform specific bezel image files must have the following file names and locations:
    ..\LaunchBox\Plugins\Eclipse\Media\Bezels\{PLATFORM}\Horizontal.png
    ..\LaunchBox\Plugins\Eclipse\Media\Bezels\{PLATFORM}\Vertical.png
    System default bezels
    - These are used if there are no game specific or platform specific bezels found
    - You can specify a different image for horizontally and vertically oriented games so that they fit appropriately
    - The default bezel image files must have the following file name and location:
    ..\LaunchBox\Plugins\Eclipse\Media\Bezels\Platforms\Default\Horizontal.png
    ..\LaunchBox\Plugins\Eclipse\Media\Bezels\Platforms\Default\Vertical.png
    Looking for feedback
I'm looking for any suggestions that would make this theme better.  What's currently on my list for improvements:
New option to add a game to a playlist from the game detail screen New option to display game manuals from the game detail screen Improve image cache logic to better detect differences between LB images and plugin image cache Use VLC for video playback  Option to flip box art  This could be expanded a bit more to  Show achievements in game details Improvements to the options side-panel that opens up under the gear (add some icons and make it look a little less "blah") Several ideas for configuration options Default category and list to pick when opening  Minimum number of games required to be included in a category This would allow you to eliminate lists don't have more than 1 game showing in the series category for example Improvements to the loading screen to make it prettier Performance improvements for loading times by doing more work in the background Overhaul of entire codebase Support for any resolution or aspect ratio - currently this only works (well) on 16:9 screens Make game lists more dynamic - the implementation of the lists uses a bunch of static image controls  Localization If anyone thinks of anything that could make this theme better, I'd be interested to hear it!

  20. NESiCAxLive 2

    NESiCAxLive 2 theme.
Made with Community Theme Creator 2.3
There was no option to use banners or Steam banners in the CTC so it's clear logos it is.
The only off stuff in the theme are the fonts, I'm no coding expert but I can't find the fonts that are used in the original NESiCAxLive 2 so I had to use fonts that looked similar.

    NEON DELUXE ARCADE - 16:9
    -----------------------------------------------------
    CREDITS
Huge thanks goes out to @y2guru for his Community Theme Creator Software and his endless personal help, also he created the animated wheels for this theme! @Hexxxer for the original inspiration of his FutureState theme. @Rincewind for the inspiration on his use of the icons. @faeranfor explaining the new marquee options in v12. Thanks guys!
    -----------------------------------------------------
    INSTALLATION
    1. Download the theme here and place the folder in Launchbox/Themes/
    2. You might need to unblock the zip file or all the .DLL's in the plugin folder. Right click the zip or DLL files, choose properties and at the bottom you click "Unblock".
    3. I recommend doing the following to speed up Big Box greatly:
     - Uncheck all Background Images in Launchbox > Tools > Options > Media > Background Priorities
     - Set all transitions to "None" in BigBox settings
     - Use the Clean Up media tool in launchbox/tools/Clean Up Media... (this can really speed up lists with thousands of games and duplicate media)
     - Defrag the drive that holds your media files

Hope you like and enjoy! ?

  24. Game On!

MAJOR OVERHAUL (version 2 requires BB v12.7.4 or higher)
User friendly with "easy to see" custom genre & play mode icons. Designed for Large Screens & 4K in mind. Animated and color changing backgrounds.
The gamers in the background are actually moving, looking like they are playing games. I tried to use some video effects to make it look like the ambient room light is changing, kinda like a TV does in real life. The Wall View is my favorite with the multiple info panels that slide into the screen.
I carried over some of my genre icon artwork I made for Fading Elegance v1+. This time I used a male voice for platform names I created with Amazon Polly, so they sound pretty decent.
I really love this theme on a big screen TV!
The screenshots can't show how it functions, so check out the video.
Now has 6 added views, easy to use the extra stuff and has the badges included now.
    UPDATED (02-13)
Download the theme and tell me what ya think! This video is NOT using any extra Platform Videos

    Installation:
Download, unzip, copy the folder "Game On v1" into your Launchbox "Themes" folder (I didn't change it to Game On v2 folder, so you can just delete and copy updated theme into it's place)

Instructions to use Split Screen, PvP, LAN and Online Play Icon features: (not required)
To get these to work in the theme is really pretty easy.
Create the 4 Custom Fields below in Launchbox, just edit any single game in your collection and pick Custom Fields on the left panel. Copy-n-paste one of the 4 custom fields below and press <ENTER>. Then enter Yes in the value section press <ENTER>. Copy-n-paste the other 3 Custom Fields and do the same. Then press OK

Now the fields should be ready and Yes is now a choice in Bulk Edit. Close Launchbox and re-open just to be safe. Then you can go back to the game you used to set up the custom fields and delete the Yes's if you need to. You can leave the field blank for NO so no need to worry any of them but the ones that apply, they will need to be YES.
What I did, was to sort my collection different ways like genre or playmode. I had a genre set up for MMO, so I bulk edited all the games in that category, first I chose Play Mode, making sure they all had multiplayer added as a value. Then I said yes to make more changes, and then chose the newly created Custom Field: Online Play and just select Yes in the dropdown to add value. The theme will now display the animated globe for all those games in the views that use it.
Do that for the other 5 Custom fields using similar sorts. Of course any game can be edited manually as well.
The custom fields you can add:
    LAN
    Online
    Split Screen
    PvP

    *Controller Mapping:
The only thing that needs changed is Button 3 (that's the "X" button on Xbox controller or square button on DS4 controller). It is set to "Play" by default, so if you use this, you will need to assign a different button to it. Now assign Button 3 to "Filter". That's it.

If you get a blank area in the one of the Genre images (like where the Yellow arrow is pointing in the screenshot below), it just means that game is using a genre that I did not create a icon for.
If you have Photoshop,  you can use the simple template I included in the ..\LaunchBox\Themes\Game On v1\Media\Genres folder to create anything you need. Just open the template, drop a image in the template (re-size to taste), change the text and save. If you don't have PS, let me know and I can try to get ya fixed up.

Big Thanks to @y2guru for moving forward with the Community Theme Creator and the changes he shared with us with v2.3. Without him, this wouldn't exist. And thanks to @faeran for all his troubleshooting help as well. And lets not forget @Jason Carr and the rest of the LB team and especially the server changes!
-Enjoy & thanks for trying the theme!
