  1. AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH <geeking out> This is awesome... I will make sub platforms for every genre, because it's so much more sexy to have them in sub-cateorgries than in filters Amazing work Launchbox, amazing...
  2. Hey I'm hearing lots of rumurs that there is also a video showing Platforms to have subcategries in a new release? I've seen endless threads of desire for this feature, and it will definitely bring a whole new level to organising games if it's true? Thanks.
  3. I deleted Launcher UUID and made fresh one, and it worked Will never know why now, but sometimes it's best to start again. Thanks for your help zombie !!
  4. Thanks Zombeaver I have hope, I mean I'm personally working on much more complicated projects than this, which is why it has to be something pretty dammed straight forwards. Administrator rights was the first thing I checked, so I'll see if .net framework is up to date.
  5. Just FYI - I've checked the paths, but they show in the screenshot as correct anyway. - I've deleted the Launcher FSUAE database, created a fresh one, and tried running UUID Launcher with same result - I've tried this with game UUID's and just the UUID Launcher on it's own with same result The UUID Launcher crashes on launch every single time, no explanation.
  6. Please ignore the WinUae in the path That is just the old folder I used and never ended up changing. Here you can see in screenshot, Everything seems good to go. The Launcher actually crashes completely when trying to run it alone even...
  7. Should ask here in the forum, in case anyone else has gone through every step to find this error I'm experiencing. It's probably something pretty straight forwards, but when launching "UUID Launcher" "Unable to open database file" error >>>> What could / should I check please? ---- Hello World! <-no arguments passed-> Unhandled Exception: System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteException: unable to open database file at System.Data.SQLite.SQLite3.Open(String strFilename, String vfsName, SQLiteConnectionFlags connectionFlags, SQLiteOpenFlagsEnum openFlags, Int32 maxPoolSize, Boolean usePool) at System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteConnection.Open() at Launcher_uuid.Launcher_uuid.Hole_Name_aus_DB(String _uuid) at Launcher_uuid.Launcher_uuid.Main(String[] sArgs)
  8. As far as the more recent versions, there is not, and has not been a way to quick save with WHDLoad ever, as far as I know, only floppy versions can use that.
  9. Fair enough :) I Purchased my roms many years ago, when Mame was first about, and have just been updating them all. 30,000 junk files seemed quite a lot :)
  10. DOS76 said They are filtered out by the checkboxes. 30,000 games are not games? I imported everything but mechanical, and non games. I think there should be more than 3339 working games?
  11. Dragging in 33,126 zip files, selecting non bios, non clones... Results 3339 games successfully added ??? What happens to the other 30,000 zip files?
  12. To share with you guys my testing experiences so far: Fs uae does emulate Amiga games to everything you need, but currently with many exceptions. For this setup I used 1 main default config for fsuae, and dragged into Launchbox either the ADF file (Floppy) or WHDLoad (Harddisk) images (You can use both to get a great setup). Especially since WHDLOAD does not support save states, and therefore it's not useful for long games such as Dungeon Master. For Dungeon Master, I specifically use the ADF disk image, because Save states are possible. FsUAE REALLY needs to support Savestates, and I'm sure it can be done, even if it means creating a separate file outside of the WHD image. For now, to import to launchbox AFD - Drag this main file DISK 1 into Launchbox, but I don't know of a way to auto assign the disks 2, 3, 4 etc to the FsUae launcher? so this means having to Press F12 in game, to come out and manually swap the disks over. (This is not a problem within Fsuae, because you can save the launcher of each set of AFD's to a game, and therefore not have to worry about disk swapping. Hopefully there is a way to auto insert the extra AFD disks into drives, on launching a game through launchbox? WHD - Drag the ZIP file, no need to extract, into launchbox, and it should launch straight off. So if you're using AFD files you have to swap disks every time in game (annoying) and you have to manually import each and every disk 1 of all games for your collection. (Masses of time) - Also I noticed that Dungeon Master WHD won't launch with an error saying Disk 1 cant be read. Where's the other Amiga emulator people here? Lets perfect this ^^
  13. I have found a Hack/Fix until the FS-uae is updated with correct WHDload version (Which no long requires the Key) copy 18.2 WHDLoad executable to $DOCUMENTS/FS-UAE/Cache/Downloads/fb4/ replacing the file fb4c64b0b5e682125e53eb2ace9bf0ccd3b8501f (Cached old whdload). This will remove the registration warning which no longer applies anymore, since you cannot purchase now.
  14. orac31 said is it ok if I post a video on how I got mine working? Hey, hows the video? :) I've checked with running games through Fsuae and the annoying WHDLoad Register message is always there, however when you goto the WHDLoad website to the register page, it says, Registration: Starting with WHDLoad release 18.2 a registration is neither required nor possible. Please update to the latest available WHDLoad version. So apparently at some point, the registration has stopped, and you can no longer register, and are supposed to just update the WHDLoad version... thats fine, but FSuae has WHDload setup already internally? So how can I even update the WHDLoad within FS uae? God this is confusing :S The only emulator I can't get to work properly...
  15. I imported all mame games with the (Don't import clones) option turned on. Then I realised many games are missing, and it will be absolute hell going through now trying to see which ones didn't import. I realised when Dynamite Cop was not in the list in Launchbox? So naturally I tried drag dropping Dynamite Cop (and dynamite Deka) into launchbox, checked options to install every type, and then at the end of the process, it says, 0 new games added. :O Does anyone know why Launchbox is being racist to some games please? I can play dynamite deka outside of launchbox fine, but it won't import into launchbox at all :S Thanks,
  16. PLEASE do post a video, although I'm pretty sure I've done everything I should have, since Adams Family works ok? Dungeon Master just won't load in FS UAE with harddrive image. I've tried 3 different versions of Dungeon Master, but it just won't work :( :S PLEASE post a video! You will be remembered as a God forever.
  17. I have the game Dungeon Master in Launchbox, aimed at the FSuae launcher and I get a black screen. Adams family in Launchbox aimed at fsuae launcher works simply like that? Anyone know what to try testing please?
  18. Anyone know about WinUae Loader? Just discovered that ? Does this do anything different ? http://headsoft.com.au/index.php?category=winuaeloader Also Im wondering if anyone has been successful using gamebase to Launchbox? thanks
  19. Bedwyr said Dumb idea but maybe a solution. Why not dump screenshots into your front images directory, replacing the box covers for the system and refresh the images? You could technically do that, but Launchbox add's a -01 at the end of every snap downloaded. Next idea? ^^ I'd suggest looking for a complete pack of snaps really. Then dumping them into the Front folder so they are all named correctly and like you say, just refresh images. done.
  20. Thanks for response. Does this mean unless we use WHDload without savestates, it's impossible to add Amiga games which use multiple disks? Even if we have to do it 1 game at a painful time lol :)
  21. "What do you mean how to import multiple Amiga games" I mean how do you add more than 1 game at a time to launchbox for Amiga. Since Amiga games using WinUae have multiple disks per game, you can't drag and drop a collection of disks into Launchbox, or essentially you're adding disk 2, 3, 4, etc as they are individual games. "Are WHD files not 1 file?" Yes, but they are useless because they prevent save states. The emulators for Amiga, like any other, have save states, but they do not work with WHD, which is why it's not possible to use them. "If it's 1 file, just add folder" Do you mean put all for example 4 disks into a folder, then drag drop the folder into launchbox and it should auto mount disks 2 3 4? Please forget everything about WHD, because whilst they work fine, it's not possible to use save states, and that renders them useless. You can't save games either since it doesn't write to harddrive format, only floppies, therefore when play really long games like Dungeon Master, there is no way to save, meaning it's impossible to playthrough. I'm trying, like many I see over other forums, trying to go BACK to floppy version because of save games, using Winuae, and trying to add multiple games which consist of multiple floppy disks, so that they are recognised as single games. Even if there's a way to manually add a game using disk 1, and then get the extra disks to load into disk drives 2, 3, 4 etc it would be useful. Some games used even more than 4 I believe. So in short, How can multiple games consisting of multiple disks be added so they are 1 game recognising all disks, using winuae, which enables save states possible :) Thanks (I've been trying endlessly on and off for about a YEAR now sigh so exhausted phew!)
  22. Can anyone who has done this successfully, please explain how to get all the games from Amiga Winuae into Launchbox in one go? Or is it only possible setting each one individually at a time? I use winuae (Fsuae is not good, because the WHDLoad doesn't allow savestates currently) There must be someone who has discovered a way to import multiple Amiga games into launchbox? The winner of this question will be seen as a God to everyone here I'm sure.
  23. Adding Amiga games to Launchbox, just referenced to the Launcher works perfectly for getting the whole WHD database done as a drag drop to Launchbox. MASSIVE problem however, is that WHDLoad doesn't support savestates, and I don't fancy starting long games over and over again. Not so much free time now we are older :) Has anyone discovered a work-around for save states yet please?
  24. Does anyone know where to get the latest WHD complete Games, demos collections please? Mine is outdated now I think. There are tons of different versions online, different websites, etc, just no idea which WHD to get? Thanks.
  25. Exactly, it would be so efficient to just have the option to do this from within the "Games manager / Launchbox" because essentially that is the whole point of having a front end... organizing your library / collection. It would really add a great deal of time saving, and usefulness, and be very easy to implement. :) DOS76 you wouldn't have to use it, just like there are features that maybe others don't use which some people like. The more useful features a product has the better, obviously the better and more appealing it becomes. I'm using explorer now as you say you do, because it's the only option, and when you have to first look closely at the file path to see that it's a capital letter, a space, an underscore or a dot which is the only difference (hence a duplicate file) it's very inconvenient to have to seach individually every single time for that specific file, double check you're deleting the duplicate one you don't want to keep... It's hell!! This would solve all that with a simple click of a button followed by a safe confirmation. Perfect.
