What type of joypad does RetroArch say you're using Are launching Big Box through Steam? Ps.There's since really interesting news on the PS4 controller and Steam coming up if you Google it. The PS4 controller will be configurable like the Steam controller on the Link.

You dont need Virtual Here for a PS4 controller. Just hook it up to the Steam Link via Bluetooth. There's videos on YouTube. I'd link one but I'm on my phone and these forums don't play nice. I did a fresh install of RetroArch and the PS4 controller just started working again like normal.

Anyone got any good mappings? For some reason I can't seem to remap the A & B buttons. B sort of does, I think. But A stays on B (O on Playstation controller). I generally play the wrestling games on N64, so those controls are most important and they make big use of the C-buttons. I was thinking C buttons on the face buttons, with A+B on the triggers - but the mapping is weird in Mupen of Retroarch, I'm guessing because of the "Alternate" button. Should I just switch to Project 64 maybe?

They just started randomly working. No freaking clue how, but they did. Both my PS4 controllers are working great with SNES and N64 (although if anyone has a good N64 button mapping tutorial that would be fantastic, because it's awful lol)

Hey everyone, I've recently got a Steam Link and it's up and running. I've got Big Box added as a Steam Link game. However, the controllers (both the Steam Controller & PS4 Controller via Bluetooth) are "acting as keyboards." Or at least in some type of keyboard mode, which is not letting me set up Retroarch or play the games. Every time I hit circle on the PS4 controller (B on the Steam Controller), I get backed out to an old menu. I'm just wondering if anyone else has set there's up and how you overcame this issue. I've been troubleshooting for about 4 hours now and I'm frustrated beyond belief. The controllers work perfectly in Steam games (played Dark Souls III just fine), but no dice in Big Box or RetroArch. Edit: Tried downloading some Steam Controller Configurations. No dice. I'm beyond frustrated because I've seen this work and I have no idea where I'm going wrong. Ugh.

Is it possible to get the same console specific backgrounds in the game selection? I don't really care for the custom art backgrounds you come the metadata since some are high quality, some are low quality, and some are just not there. I'd love to keep it consistent with the console background. Maybe without the actual console on the background. I think I could add the background manually to every game, but that would take forever. Is there a mass thing I could? Any help would be greatly appreciated. This theme is incredible. Thank you so much for making it and allowing us to use it!

Hey all, Is there a way to do this? I see music folders for each system in the root folder, so I tried adding both an mp3 and wav of the Mario theme to NES folder but it doesn't seem to be working. Hopefully someone can help out!

Hey Jason, I never figured this out. But 6.2 finally installed correctly after trying ever past and present version that I have. No idea what the issue was but 6.2 seems to have fixed it.

Tried both. Neither worked. I have no idea anymore. Tried installing on E:// and C://. Tried different folders. Tried admin, not admin. No clue.

I'm getting this error now.

Didn't help. Still can't launch Big Box. Ugh.

Hi everyone, When I updated.. the Big Box desktop shortcut became invalid. When I go into Launchbox and try to launch Big Box, a tiny window pops up for about 0.5 of a second, disappears.. and then nothing happens. I've restarted and everything. Any ideas?

DOS76 said To get videos from EmuMovies you do need a license. If you find your own videos you can add them. You will have to update all your platforms using the update Metadata and Images from the tools menu. Yes the videos work in BigBox. Thanks, Derek. If I was to do my own movies (I probably won't because I'm lazy), but if I do - would I have to add each video for each game separately? Or by platform?

First and foremost, I'm a long-time Launchbox Premium supporter. I have a forever premium licence from forever ago (I'm guessing they auto-updated to forever licence if we we're here before that point?). Love it. Use it all the time. I just had a quick question about videos and how they work. First off, I believe I need a subscription at emumovies? Once that's done, does Launchbox just auto-update the videos with the new 5.8 update? Do the videos also work in Big Box mode? Any help on the video front would be awesome. Thank you.
