  1. I'm getting a strange thing whenever I delete a game and right after that tries to edit another game. I get this message: I have to click OK and then go CTRL+E again on the file I wanted to edit. Any way to remove that? It would make sense if the game I was going to edit wasnt actually in there anymore, but it is.
  2. Ah Sorry about that. Didnt make myself clear. Thanks!
  3. Just in case we're not talking about the same thing, here's a picture:
  4. Jason Carr said Hi @Soundtrackgeek, thanks. That's different than I'm seeing; the list view is sorted correctly for me in my tests, so if you can put up some pictures that would be helpful. Thanks. :) One thing to note is that if you have manually specified values for the Sort Title field for your games, then that will override the defaults. Also, in the list views, the titles will show up as "The Astyanax"; we don't move "the" to the end. However, the sort should work as expected. Ah, so the Box Art View ignores the "The" while the List View uses them. That explains it. Would it be possible to add an option to "ignore" the "The" in list view as well as I use it a lot to get an overview of titles and its a shame if I cant see all the "B" titles for example under "B" instead of some being under "T".
  5. I'm on the latest beta and I've noticed that when I'm in Box Art View titles with "The" in front of them are sorted after the actual title which is good, but when I'm in list view sorted by title, it uses "The" as part of the title and they come under "T". Hope I made some sense. If not, I can provide some photos :)

    Videos

I've noticed that a lot of times, the video field is populated by a YouTube link, so I've started doing that myself. Maybe it could be an interesting idea to have an embedded youtube video in the LB sidebar for those type of links when the video file is missing?
  7. SentaiBrad said That's a pretty good idea, but a drag and drop system on web is tricky, potentially it would be that we allow users to just upload multiple images at once as a list or with multiple upload boxes. Once they're processed they can then be sorted by the user. That would work as well. Just have an upload button and I can multiple select 4 images, then upload them all at once.
  8. I usually add at least 3 or 4 images per game that I add to the DB. Front Cover, Back Cover, Media and Screenshot. It takes quite a bit of time uploading 1 and 1. What I would suggest is that you can drag and drop multiple images and then have a dropdown system over each image to set the type. It may be possible to "guess" what a type of image is as well, but it might be complicated to code? Anyway, let me know if this is a terrible idea or a good one :) I think it would really help speed up the process.
  9. Genre: Pinball There's a few pinball games out there and I'm not sure what to use there :)
  10. M-6502 said The multiplayer mode options seem good. Additional field suggestions: - Alternate Title (as mentioned above) - Media (Floppy, Cassette, Cartridge, CD, DVD, etc.) - Manual Back in the day I had a Commodore 64 and me and every one I knew had cassettes only. Those fancy (and huge) disc drives weren't common in Europe I believe. I am adding a bunch of C64 games to the database, but there is no image type for cassette currently. It gives me that extra nostalgia boost when I see one... Would love to have this option.
  11. I'm trying to add a few games, but the Add Game module will only accept developers/publishers already in the database. When I type in a new developer and press tab to go to the next box, it will erase what I wrote in there. I want to add some games, but I feel bad about adding them without anything in the developer/publisher box.
  12. Jason Carr said Hi @Rehab, thanks for the feedback. We just recently added custom folders settings for all platforms, including where games are stored. I agree, we should add a function to find new games in the platform folder. It probably won't ever be as quick and easy as Kodi, because there's a bit more involved, but I do think it's worth doing. It's on my list. :) I just got this "problem" myself and wondered if it's something that's far from completion?
  13. DOS76 said You will have to also select all of you PSX games using control+a and then right click one of them and choose edit than change the emulator to ePSXe. When you change the default emulator than any new games will use the new default setting but any of the games you already added will keep the emulator that you already assigned. Thanks! That did it. At least I know they work well now using 7z files. Tried 5 and all ran well in ePSXe. Must be a Retroarch thing with PSX.
  14. Jason Carr said Great to hear guys. Still no explanation for @Bedwyr's lockups, though. Has anyone done any further testing on the 7-zip stuff? Thanks! Seems to work fine for all the systems I've tested except for PSX. I get this error no matter what game I choose: I've checked Retroarch to use compressed files and it seems to work great on NDS games. Strangely I think it did something to my Launchbox because I disabled Retroarch as default emulator and set up ePSXe as default PSX emulator but it still runs Retroarch and gives me that error.
  15. On the subject of games with 2 or more discs, the accepted way of launching the other discs seems to be via Additional Apps. I don't know how this can be done for a compressed game. I would also like to have an answer for this. To handle this I suppose we should put all CDs inside one 7z file and then both will decompress into a folder where it can be used when switching between CDs. Compressing each CD wouldn't be any good since emulators might not support running from a 7z file.
