You put in a lot of work to this app, and we appreciate it. I think it's reasonable to support that!

Launchbox Folder constantly returning to 'Read-Only'
shadowblind replied to shadowblind's topic in Troubleshooting
Nice call! Found out what was causing the problem by your advice: A program called Linux File System for Windows (by Paragon Software). Used it to transfer files to/from Linux USB drives. Don't use it anymore but it was running in the background. Removing it seems to have totally eliminated the issue. So, the issue WAS with syncing software. Thanks for your help, really appreciate it! - -
Issue completely fixed! Thanks again, and if you have a donation link, please lemme know (I can't find one by searching, though I may not be looking in the right place?)

Thanks for the update. It displays the correct marquee video now, and for a moment as the game is booting, the video audio mutes (as it should). However after Dolphin loads the game, the marquee video's audio becomes audible again even while the game is playing. Attached the logs below in case it helps! Looks like the drive is NTFS...hope that helps! -
For sure! The two log files are attached, and here's the string I'm using: Run, "C:\Users\mwbuc\LaunchBox\ThirdParty\CLI_Launcher\CLI_Launcher.exe" launch_without_menu "Nintendo Wii" "kirby's epic yarn" StreamDeckGameLauncher.txt ThirdScreenLog.txt

Been using this with ThirdScreen and it's working phenomenal. Only issue is when used in conjunction with the Dolphin emulator (for Wii games specifically). The marquee doesn't land and stay on the wii game, instead reverting to whatever game it was hovering over before. Not a huge problem, except that my marquees are set up to play video, sound included...so the video sound plays while I'm ingame Any idea on how to fix that? Thank again for the plugin, btw. It's a lifesaver.

Not sure if this helps, but this is the log I'm getting: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Hi! Nearly every time I launch Bigbox and go through the various platforms like normal, I try and return to the Platforms view and eventually (within 5 or so minutes of usage) come across an error message. Turns out, the Launchbox folder is constantly reverting to 'Read Only' no matter how often I uncheck that setting or change the security settings so that anyone can read/write to it. Any thoughts on what's causing this? It renders Bigbox unusable to any period of time greater than roughly 5 minutes.

I don't! But I think I figured it out! One thing I just realized is that I split my Nintendo Switch ROMS some time ago into two Platforms: Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch eShop (for smaller titles). I did the same with Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Arcade, and PS3 and PSN Games. Never had any trouble using your theme with the Xbox and Playstation variant Platforms, only with the Switch theme. But I copied the XML files for your Switch view and pasted it as "Nintendo Switch eShop" (the name of the new Platform I made). Went into the Horizontal 1 and Horizontal 2 xml's codes and added 'eShop' to the end of each time it for 'Nintendo Switch'. Now all the images show up great. Not sure why the issue affected the Switch theme but didn't affect the Xbox 360 or PS3 themes, but hey, I'm not complaining haha. Thanks again for your help on this though. One last question...the music continues to play in the background even after I've opened a game. Is there a way to turn that off? -
Hi! Love the theme/. Getting an error message on it, though...not sure how to parse it save for it mentioning Coverbox. Any idea what's going on with this? "Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
