Thanks, incredible that uninstalling, installing dolphin 5.0-15260, running dolphin, installing latest dolphin, give dolphin access to sd card rom dir, bam working again inside of dolphin when launched from launchbox. Great job, thanks but I'm still confused, Jason has to update/fix Launchbox for android or is it Dolphin?

I have dolphin setup and running correctly (I think) on android. I have android 11 and iso are stored on SD Card. (I think that is the trouble). When I try and launch a game with LaunchBox, I get Warning message: "/storage/3539-3131/ROMs/NintendoGameCube/000_AAA_Top/Madden NFL 2003 (USA).iso is an invalid GCM/ISO file, or is a not a GC/Wii ISO. Yet I can run this iso with the dolphin emulator directly. Any ideas? Thanks Incredible being able to play gamecube on a small android handheld (Powkiddy X18s), emulation has come soooo far!!!! I have launchbox working fine on a GPD XP with gamecube, Very strange how one device works and not the other. Still looking into it. Still curious if its an android 10+ thing because of how SD cards work or something else, probably just something stupid I did

of course you are correct Jason, when I removed the version from filename like 102 Dalmatians - Puppies to the Rescue v1.001 (2000)(EIDOS)(NTSC)(US)[!] to 102 Dalmatians - Puppies to the Rescue (2000)(EIDOS)(NTSC)(US)[!] it imports fine and grabs all the clipart, yeah!! wondering if i could put the version inside of () and it would work, will try later. Dreamcast (not sure about others yet) is not showing all my clipart that I have manually put in place (images/ Sega DreamCast/ Clear Logo - Full, etc images have exact same name as the rom file. Anyone know why they are not showing up. Box art is showing up, but logos are not. Thanks PS. I tried shortening the image name like the text on the menu (ie without the (US)etc, but that had no effect). I can't figure this out. I have gone through my other systems and they all work except SNK Neo Geo Pocket (color works though). Hope this helps find the error.

I have also discovered that the issue doesn't have anything to do with chd's (I tried cue & bin with same results). This should make it easy to replicate for everyone. How about a tool to move over data from PC install to android??

Yes they imported, but they are all listed under all games (no sub categories like other systems), and under sega dreamcast - > all games--> my games are listed but without wheel art or cover art. They do launch and run fine though. I see jason suggested turning on debug and look at the logs, that is what I will try now.

Last night I powered off my new GPD XP. When I awoke, I powered on the XP and ran LaunchBox. To my horror, I thought everything was gone, as I got the dialog box stating welcome to launchbox. I checked and it was the free version ???? I think what happened was the MicroSD card was not fully initialized in android, which is where all my playlists and license file are stored. I exited out, browsed files and saw the SD card, retried LaunchBox and everything was good again. Just wondering if there needs to be a check in LaunchBox for the presense of the MicroSD card. Just thinking others shouldn't go through that

no problem, thanks for trying to help. Android seems to be fairly far behind the windows version (rightfully so). Hopefully many options get added/fixed. Just trying to report possible bugs. I will be getting more android devices soon (odin) so I want this to continue maturing.

I'm talking about the android version of Launchbox. (my windows version works fine, just trouble with the android ver)

Doesn't seem to download any media for my roms. I see no "Sega Dreamcast" folder under my images folder. I assume its because I have my roms in chd format. How can I tell launchbox to search for chd media files.

I have launchbox set up on many pcs, and want to start using it on android. I can't seem to find where the media files are stored. I would really like to move my media from a pc install to android. Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm messing with a pair of sinden lightguns now and the software will be changing over time. Right now I have to launch 2 instances of the lightgun software if I want both light guns to work. I have this from OMG awesome launchbox setup which I'm tailoring to my tastes. Right now I would like to go without AHK scripts to launch the lightgun.exe before each rom. I will run it at the start of the PC until more fixes come out. (starting/stopping lightgun.exe seems to be an issue for some and me). I will probably want to turn it back on in the future. Not a biggie, I will just comment out lines in the AHK for each emulator.

Does anyone else think it would be useful to add a option to turn on/off AHK script from executing. I would like to keep my emulator script without commenting it out to turn it off. just a quick idea and easy change.

thanks for the quick response, but I have no problem making copies of my favorite roms, shouldn't launchbox support adding a new platform and adding roms to that platform. I thought this would be a nice feature/workaround for my favorites since I have so many. I would actually like to do this with a few systems (platforms). If I can't do this now, do you think this could be added?

I want a separate list for my Arcade favorites (about 200) to make scrolling through a long list easier, but with the ability to jump to specific letters. I can seem to do that with my arcade list, so I thought about creating a custom platform. I added a platform call Arcade Standup Favs,, which then shows 0 games. When I try to add game roms to it with Tools, add roms, then I pick the roms, but I can't choose my "Arcade Standup Favs" from the dropdown list. Am I missing something? using beta 6. Love this program, Great Job Jason. (hope you have a good vaca with your family last week)
