  1. One of these days I need to make an all inclusive list of Japanese games that came out in PAL territories but not in the states. There's a bunch on PS2 for example.
  2. Wow! Thought I was alone there. But I have plenty to work with now. Thanks!
  3. Sorry, just want to get more exposure for this question, so I wanted to link to it here too. Any help? http://www.rlauncher.com/forum/showthread.php?3779-RocketLauncher-keeps-reverting-my-retroarch-settings
  4. Yeah, I've still got some work to do with adding my games to Launchbox anyways. But by the time I'm done getting it all sorted out, I'll probably go the Mednafen route.
  5. Spent a bunch of time getting SSF to work via LB and RLauncher, but I will totally abandon it once a Retroarch core of this is out. Can't wait!
  6. Are the titles for Abadox different? Does one say "Abadox" and the other " Abadox: The Deadly Inner War "?
  7. While it's not what you're looking for in terms of artwork, I like this method for my rom hacks https://www.launchbox-app.com/forum/noobs/combining-multi-disc-games-on-launchbox#p23543 That way I just look for the original game and then choose the hack from there.
  8. Styphelus said You can't just delete files because you will break some games. Some mame games will use files from another game or a clone. The only way is to isolate the games you want and try them out one by one and see if they work or if they require additional files. This is fine for your current set but it means you can't update your set in the future or you will have to do it all over again. Huh, I knew about how some versions would need the parent ROM, but never knew that sometimes you actually need a clone.
  9. I think I found a good solution for this. Especially because I plan to keep 2 different ROM libraries. 1. Is my filtered out library of games I intend to play 2. Is the full mame set, in case I ever want to add something back into the library. Lightspeed seems like it'll work out well. What I'll do first is filter the full mame set, but very broad. I'll take out obvious stuff I have no use for (Such as casino games), and then I'll run through the list of games it gives me, removing anything I don't want. When I'm ready to go, I'll choose the option to copy/move the roms into my filtered folder. This way I can keep the full set as a backup, and all the games I do want will go into the filtered library. I'll report back!
  10. Imgema said Hmmm, i just tested the Japanese version using Nestopia core and it works fine for me, at least for the 5 minutes i tested it. Huh, wonder why mine didn't. Do you happen to know where the game came from? Like a goodrom or no intro set? Could you post the filename?
  11. Imgema said Out of curiosity, may i ask which game that is which doesn't work in Nestopia? It was Wai Wai World. Both the Japanese version and the various fan translations.
  12. Having the option to filter out the MAME junk is nice, but I want to go a step farther. Is there any program that someone knows of that lets me do this? I'd love to have the ability to delete a game and all its versions in one shot, but also be able to delete selected versions of a game too. Thanks!
  13. Great! Thanks to both of you! Now to figure out why FCEUMM is making my inputs turbo lol. But the game is running!
  14. I have a single game so far that won't run with the Nestopia core, however it works fine with the FCEumm core. How would I go about adding the command to make it run with that core? Thanks!
  15. Just chiming in that I've been using Big Box on some CRTs (PVM 14m4u and PVM 20n6u) it took some messing around with, but I'm getting good results. Started with using crt_emudriver, and then moved on to a Extron Super Emotia.
  16. FistyDollars said I'd say accept it, keep an eye on it, and then edit the plot later if it's been successfully added to the database. Sounds like a plan. Thanks!
  17. Was looking at a new submission and saw that the overview has the majority of the games plot included. Besides that, everything else seems fine. Would it be better to accept it, then edit the description later? As opposed to just rejecting it.
  18. I went ahead and added a feature request, thanks! Appreciate all your hard work!
  19. Definitely a start! Thanks! Would there be a way I could have them available in the systems in big box? Like I'd choose Arcade>Fighters? If not, alright if I add it as a feature request? Thanks again :)
  20. Want to have it so that in BigBox mode I can go under Arcade for example, and pick Fighting games. Or even better, I'd love to be able to break it down further from there. Such as Fighting - 2D, ect. Any help? Thanks!
  21. Loving launchbox so far, just got all my arcade games imported. But I noticed that some of them have the wrong pictures, such as double dragon (it has pictures from the 1995 Neo Geo fighting game). Is there any way to change these to the correct ones manually, besides saving and renaming in the images folder? Something in the edit menu would work best for me. Thanks! EDIT: ...and I just right clicked on the image in edit and there's the option. Whoops! Sorry!
