  1. PSX is hit or miss for me, N64 works great and MAME is no problem.
  2. Best of luck and thanks for all the great stuff you did for Launchbox.
  3. Great, thanks for that. I have noticed that Big Box is a little slow on the GPD Win so I am using Retroarch for now. Hopefully performance improves with some updates though, I am hopeful.
  4. That sounds great. I am most interested in indie and retro games, so I don't plan to play anything in 3D on this, actually. I have watched dozens of Youtube clips of people testing various games on the GPD Win. I get that it can run things like Overwatch and GTA V (barely) but I am more about games like Undertale and Axiom Verge. Hopefully these will not generate too much heat. In any case thanks for the info!
  5. I just ordered one of these. Really excited to get it! Jason's video showing off Launchbox usage is what sold me on it. Have you learned anything useful about using Launchbox with the GPD in the few months since you've had it? @CJDJ
  6. I have already deleted the non-working copy, but I replaced it with a new installation and then copied the following folders along with Launchbox.xml and License.xml: Images Manuals Music Sounds Themes Videos This seems to have me up and running again. Thank you for all the help. For anyone else who encounters this: best off just reinstalling and restoring from a backup!
  7. This worked - if I install to another place, it opens normally, so it must be this install somehow. I suppose I will just rebuild everything here - if I copy over folders and database XML backup will that just work? Thanks so much for your help, I appreciate it. The support network for Launchbox is amazing!
  8. Thanks for sharing this! I went through the page and followed the instructions: I only have Windows Defender installed for anti-virus, it is up to date and does not detect anything wrong Drivers on the computer are up to date (it is an Alienware Alpha with 16gb of RAM, i3 processor and 860M GPU) I completed the Windows file integrity scan, it did not find any "integrity violations" I tried disabling Data Execution Protection as the page suggested but it wouldn't let me do this for Launchbox (it said Launchbox requires this) I am pretty much at the point where I am willing to reinstall Windows to fix this, after trying so many things unsuccessfully.
  9. I installed this, it did not fix the problem. I don't have any anti-virus software installed, I literally reinstalled Windows 10 Pro about a week ago. There is almost nothing installed except for Steam and Launchbox. For me Launchbox neither launches through a shortcut nor through browsing to the actual exe file. I right clicked Launchbox.exe and there is no Unlock option. Here is what the event log says: Event 1000, Application Error Faulting application name: LaunchBox.exe, version: 7.10.0.0, time stamp: 0x592863b4 Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00007ffb04e0b2a1 Faulting process id: 0x1960 Faulting application start time: 0x01d2ea4c0247e40d Faulting application path: D:\Launchbox\LaunchBox.exe Faulting module path: unknown Report Id: 57f22908-dca0-4585-9a23-ffd7ca5a669f Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: If I go to Details, it says this: LaunchBox.exe 7.10.0.0 592863b4 unknown 0.0.0.0 00000000 c0000005 00007ffb04e0b2a1 1960 01d2ea4c0247e40d D:\Launchbox\LaunchBox.exe unknown 57f22908-dca0-4585-9a23-ffd7ca5a669f
  10. I Googled that and came up with this, but these downloads appear to actually be for the Visual C++ software, which I do not have installed. I will continue to try to look for things to fix this... thank you for the suggestions @lordmunkus
  11. Thanks for the suggestion, but I tried that and it still does the same thing. DirectX installed but the .NET framework was already up to date Anything else I can try? Right now I am down to installing Launchbox every time I reboot my computer.
  12. I recently reinstalled Windows 10 on my HTPC and I have installed the latest version of Launchbox and put my license file in the same folder. Unlike on my previous install, Launchbox is installed to the D: partition which is just for emulation, if that makes a difference. When I try to open Launchbox, the mouse cursor looks like it's thinking for 2-3 seconds and then goes back to normal, and nothing opens. I noticed this after I reboot - Launchbox opens after it's installed. So I can reinstall Launchbox in the same location, but when I reboot, it will not work again. Any idea how I can fix this? Thanks in advance!
  13. Is there a Youtube preview of these available? They look great.
  14. They are, I have moved them to the /roms folder within each version of MAME so I didn't need to make any changes to the MAME.ini file. I am sure they are pointing to the right place. What I don't understand is why they cannot be opened.
