  1. reaching 97 with this update, 2 more and then, first pack : ) part 10:
  2. part 9: (87 boxes now) Can this forum handle 100 pictures on one page? I guess we'll figure out pretty soon!
  3. (updated "Dropsy" and "Canabalt", they were the weakest boxarts in the list) Part 8 : 73 boxes and counting! - I'll make the first zip pack at 100.
  4. @kmoney @SentaiBrad Thanks guys, glad you like them! I'm pretty happy with this last batch. Some were tricky to make like Kamui, Itlle Dew or Hidden in plain Sight, but at the end of the day, it looks alright: Part 7
  5. Alright, last ones for today - part 6:
  6. Oh, great! : ) Well, if you feel to do it, please do then! Let's spread the indie boxes!
  7. @CriticalCid I happily allow anyone to do it! But I'm not sure Jason would be happy with this. Some boxes have some fanart elements in it. My work on it, no problem, do whatever you want. But the unofficial arts coming from various places... hmmm, I don't know if it could be considered as "official" Part 5:
  8. @kerszr Thanks! I'm glad you like it ! : ) A few more i just made: ( Also, all boxarts edited and replaced here so there is no more CMYK display issues)
  9. Hey everyone. It's pretty difficult to find some boxarts for indie games. (Some of them even don't have official ones, only Steam banners, so I have to create some from scratch, or heavily edit artworks so they become decent boxart material.) So, here I'm making my own collection and share my progress. Hope you'll like it! A official clean thread exists HERE and will get some ZIP archives every 100 boxes. This thread is for discussion, WIP, and maybe collaboration (?) Edit: thanks to @FistyDollars for updating the Launchbox database with this! Official database Launchbox tag : " Reconstructed Front Box Art "
  10. sorry i don't use this theme, nor this view. But I'm pretty sure you'll figure out by yourself, just find which block handles your box image. Then change the row or column values, restart bigbox and see what happen.
  11. Set the box to use a specif row, column, and /or you can change the rows and columns definitions in your xml so they fit what you want.
  12. me when I see new vids of yours. V
  13. Sure! The backgrounds come from the awesome @viking vids : Regarding the platforms logos, I made them myself, but I'm not happy with them yet. That said, if you want something close, it's very easy: the brand in one color only, then a short name in arial black. I made this so it's easier to find nintendo / sega / sony consoles. it's very convenient, but not pretty yet : )
  14. Thank you @Grila ! thanks to your advice, I spent some time looking at other skins xamls, and how they managed to shrink the text box. And finally, I get what I wanted. I also added some fake dot dot dot so it's clear there are more items:
  15. A wizard, this man is a wizard. EDIT: (oh, new page! be sure to check at the previous one for new Apple2, Scumm, and Nec CD Rom vids!)
  16. So, as @Grila adviced me to, I themed the list games view. I'm pretty close now: I'm looking to reduce the font size + the number of games displayed + the spacing between the names, but I don't know how. I successfully changed the colors of the text and selector, but I can't find what file to edit. Each time I re-re-read the documentation and make some changes, I can't see any effect in BigBox. Any idea of what I could do wrong ? : )
  17. Woot for the famicom video, you rock, as always! ScummVM really would be a tricky one. All your videos are great because they're hardware focused. Scumm is related to Apple 2, C64, Dos, Amiga, Atari St... You just can't make a version of each. As far as I would love you to do one, maybe that's the line? This path then leads to Touhou, Daphne, Electronic Games, MUGEN, etc... That's a lot of work.
  18. Oh, and the most important: Thank you so much @viking for the PC Engine vid! < 3 You sir, are a gentleman.
  19. AH. That's interesting! I was surprised by your post, you seemed very sure. But I was very sure they were identical myself, because I had a Genesis AND a megadrive back in the days. 100 mega shock: the megadrive 2 is also called Genesis! Glad to know : )
  20. @greengriffon : @viking already made a very nice Sega Megadrive vid you can use as a genesis one. As far as I know, they're very (very) similar in shape and color. Am I wrong?
  21. Damn. (Well, I guess that's why it's called the wheel games view.) I gave it a try yesterday, but the list view seems way more complicated to theme than the wheel one. I guess I'll have to try harder : / Thanks for the answer!
  22. Hi, thanks for reading this. So, after collecting thousands of clear logos, and making hundreds myself, I'm trying... well, to get rid of them in the games view. How silly, I know. After months using BigBox, It's just more convenient to browse games using a list (to my taste). Problem: I really like and spent lot of time on my custom theme. I just would like to replace the coverflow logos with a list in the xaml, but after hours of copy/pasting from other game views files, I'm kinda stuck. Would someone have a bit of time to tell me what to write in my cced xaml so I get a list instead of the coverflow logos please? Thank you! WheelGamesView.xaml
