  1. Really what is needed is for the wheel to have an option for using steam banners as well as boxes and carts. I have found a workaround which I will be giving instructions when the theme is ready unless this feature is added first
  2. @Evilmaster thanks for that link, just taken a look and think you have just saved me hours of work ?
  3. Hi @Evilmaster, thanks for the like. The theme is progressing well and I have most views built. Animated gif code was broken in 7.4 but hoping this has been fixed in 7.5 so I can get that element added. Currently working on the steam banners for systems so thanks for the link as that is not one I was aware of. As you say the original theme that this is based on has two rows of banners. At present this is not something launchbox is capable of in its theme so trying workarounds for the minute to get the layout right until they add in a grid style wheel to launchbox which is what this really needs. I am currently adding dynamic control layouts to the side bars which can be changed by replacing the image files by the user. Hopefully won't be too much longer before I have a finished version to upload with video.
  4. Thanks @Jason Carr and no need to apologise, the effort you put into this app and the support from both yourself and the community is phenomenal and the best I have known for any application. there are bound to be certain bits that break when new features are put in place that is just par for the course with systems development. It's just good to know that It's not something I was doing wrong.
  5. Thanks @creamdonut. I am planning to make the controls changeable by the user and to also implement game level controls on the right. At the moment it is just a static image but this is next on the list once the other views are completed.
  6. I tried the <mediaelement> tag but it just presented as a black rectangle. The gif I am trying to use has a transparent background with fading in and out white text. For now I have set this as a static image instead. @Jason Carr is the animated gif feature still expected to work in version 7+?
  7. As promised here are some screenshots I have taken of the theme and the views created so far. Many are not fully finished yet but hopefully this gives an idea of where progress is currently at on this. As always feedback is welcome and any suggestions for improvement please let me know Platform view Game View - Banners (Only really works with Steam games and needs box to be set to Steam banner images in Launchbox) Game View - Boxes Coverflow View Game Text View Game Details View (Single Game View) Options Screen
  8. Thanks @SentaiBrad and @eatkinola. I will try the mediaelement tag instead tomorrow and see how it goes.
  9. I got it from the tutorial that @Jason Carrput together but it was recorded 5 months ago so I wonder if this feature is now depreciated?
  10. I have worked through the tutorials on YouTube for theme creation but cannot add an animated gif to the theme I am making. despite several attempts I cannot get the animated gif to work. I have added the required line to the user control section on the view. With this line in place it will then accept and recognise the <image gif: tag. However, when I try putting image behavior after the tag it is not recognised as a valid property and neither is animated source. With these in place I get an error notification and the view does not load. Any ideas what I am doing wrong or what I have missed?
  11. @deanord I have just had a reply to my question around this on another thread from @Jason Carr. Apparently the game details page uses the textgamesview as its master. If you want to remove the images I think you would need to remove them on the textgamesview page and they would then not show in the games details page. However they will also not then show in the text view layout itself, which may or may not be an issue depending on the views you are using in your theme. Hope this helps. .
  12. I would also like to know how to edit this page for a new theme. Whilst I can find and amend the file to change the detail text on the right I cannot find how to change the layout to remove or reposition the images/video. I would also like to be able to change the background image on this page. Does anyone know how this can be done or can point me in the right direction?
  13. Thanks for coming back to me on this one @Jason Carr. I suspected the game count/index may not be exposed to that view as I had not seen any other themes make use of it. It's not a problem though as it doesn't detract from the theme not having it it is more a nice to have for completeness. With regards the second point yes I think this is the view I mean. It's the one that's displayed on selecting a game that has options for play game, add to favorites etc. I will try amending the text view theme and let you know how I get on. I should be able to get some pics and maybe a video up of the theme so far tomorrow. Thanks again for your help and support.

  15. The theme is coming along quite well, with one games view and one platform view pretty much created. I have a bit more work to do before they are ready but also have some questions which hopefully @Jason Carr or one of the forum members with more theme knowledge than me can help with. The two pieces I need help with are: 1. Does launchbox hold the total number of games for a given platform somewhere in the Db and also is it possible to reference the index number of the currently highlighted game? How could this be pulled through into a textblock/binding to display "game 1/300" as an example? 2. I have watched and gone through all of the tutorials and the PDF documentation but am at a loss as to how the game details view can be amended. I have found the view for the game details but this contains only the column for the text not the full layout with the menu bar on the left or layout of the images and video. Which file needs to be amended for this area please?
  16. I started with theme building in the last couple of days so there are people on here who will likely make a much better job of this than I will. However, it does look a good theme and gives me some practice. I'll take a look and let you know how I get on.
