True, i agree, but if its a hardware issue and the only real fix is to shell out a couple hundred for a new cpu or tweak the .ini file then it may help someone out there at some point. Thanks Monk ill keep what u said in mind tho cheers!

as long as you save the .ini file after changing the frameskip it will run fine from then on

yeah some game work for me and some like SNK and Namco run slow...yeah its not a true fix i guess but if you really gotta play lol i had everything running great with an i7 but i got a new pc and it only had a ryzen 5 and all my games that were plkying great were not tioll i found this quick fix...just thought id chip in

I had this problem and this is what worked for me, because the autoskip feature in the MameUI program was no working for me, if you are using mameUI, go to the MameUi folder and go to the INI Folder, there should be a list of .ini files for every game youve played so far on mame, minimize that window and bring up launchbox and start the game thats giving you issues, once the game loads type f11 then hit f9, keep pressing f9 untill you see the game is running at 100% there should be a number in the corner that will increase untill it hits 100% keep a mental note of the number of time you hit f9. Now bring up your MameUI INI folder again go into the game and scroll down the .ini file untill you see a line that says frameskip, enter the number for the times you hit f9 previously, save the file. That should fix it, the only problem is you will have to repeat this process whenevr you encounter the issue again with a different game.

Playing around with my VR headset, trying to find out is it is possible to link ReShade and Depth3D to display in 3D on VR headset. I know Cemu emulator works well with Depth3d but can i link to Launchbox to render all emulators in SBS simultaneously? Or must i link each emulator seperately?

i think ive narrowed it down to retroarch being the problem. i have perfect emulation video and sound with all of my stand alone emulators, snes9x, VBA, Fusion364....any ideas on what could be causing the issue?

progress...so i reinstalled direct x and i have sound but it sounds like its running in super slow mo

i guess my only other option that i havent tried is to just erase everything and start over from the import roms in Launchbox....

i checked all my drivers, everything is up to date, ...i have no idea whats going on lol

yeah i understand, ive just given my AV so many permission over the past year and everytime i would run an emulator my whole system would crash " hmm looks like your system experienced am issue and we need to resee.:....i usually keep everythign backed up on my external sdd so i guess its just a force of habit...i only started happening when i started adding wii u games through usbhelper tho

yeah i thought about that i had to reinstall c++ for the Cemu emulator....ill check on that thanks, yeah i did the reset because i got a virus through WiiUsb helper. Usually i do a rest once a year but i decided to do it early cuz of that. Ill check out what you said tho.

no, none of my emulators do, i have a few run through retroarch, and the rest like Cemu, Dolphin, and Mednafen are all run stand alone. No sound tho....sorry if i sounded like a didck im just frustrated cuz ive asked on multiple placed like Toms Hardware, Cnet etc and for every 20 responses i get only one person will offer a possible solution, everyone else just says idk man mines working fine lol

I have everything saved on an external hard drives as per the YouTube tutorials. Launchbox, all roms, BIOS everything. Everything was working fine up until yesterday when i did my yearly maintenance, where i do a factory reset. Now the roms all play fine but there is no sound. Yes ive looked on google and followed previous fixes for launchbox, nothing is working. I just recently purchased Launchbox Premium so im kinda more than a little bit unhappy as everything else is working fine, all other windows game are fine its just everything to do with emulation that is run through Launchbox....Plezase if all you have to say is "everything is working fine for me i dont know what is wrong." save your breath. I dont care if its working great for you, it doesnt help me, please only respond with possible solutions. Thanks.

Hello, i am new to launchbox and ive followed the tutorial on youtube to set up NES/Famicom disk and all of my games imported, however, when i click a game to open and play nothing happens, im using retroarch with the nestopia core and all my cores are up to date, please help. Thanks

i havent ever used mame for anything, when i had my hyperspin set up i was running everything through retroarch cept dreamcast and a few others

everything is in the proper folder, so its opening MAME but not recognizing the rom file
