Around the first round of 7.15 beta. Just before the introduction of retro achievements. It about the same VLC started to misbehave. That was the beginning of the video glitches as well. Aeon Nox uses two plugins. One I wrote for scaling text and date time. And the multi background video plugin. I have notice more freeze up with horizontal wheel vs the vertical wheel I you have a theme you like me to test let me know u can look at it tonight or tomorrow. Let me know if you see any freeze ups with Aeon Nox also test vertical vs horizontal. Thanks

Aeon Nox and city Hunter 2

I have been using BigBox for over a year and i have seen incredible advancements. This community has provided so much content and material that has really elevated this product. I have even contributed a Theme and Some plugins. With that said, I have notice that BigBox will Freezes up during navigation or between views. I do not have any issues with other programs or emulators. If anyone has suggestions of performance tweaks, kindly share them, Thanks

Even though I have notice slow sluggishness with UI over the last few betas I want to shift focus a bit. For those of us developing themes are there any new fields that can be mapped to the UK? I am toying with the idea of reducing my collection down to a best of and seeing if less xml files speed things up. I also wonder if all those arcade playlists impact the ui.

So far so good with latest beta. I turned off game details since it was double launching games. The UI is much smoother and hasn't been freezing up like previous betas.

I have isolated the Multiple Game Launches to the Game details screen. Once a game is selected there should be a way to prevent another call until the game Launches, Fails to Launch or returning back to BB/LB after leaving the emulator.

I am now seeing Black screens during Video Startup on first Attempt in the latest beta. I am using WMP as my default player. I am seeing Multiple Instances of the same Game being Launched from the game detail screen. Random Crashes Navigating the BB UI I started noticing issues just before Retro Achievements were implemented.

I thought I had added you tube to the my image Search plugin. I will have to check when i get a chance,

Video Playback Tags... I like to play all themes and Game videos in full screen behind a theme in Full screen. This works in the Game Details but not within the wheel, platform or coverflow views. Which XML tag and Control is associated with these and is their an an example? Thanks

I am also getting Random crashing in bigbox. 7.15 b4 or b5.

What type of specs are recommended to run BigBox without Lag?

I may consider reducing my collection or having a few installs of launchbox to compensate for speed.

No, this is with my theme Aeon Nox and tried City Hunter as well. What Beta are we on now? I tested this under 7.14.

As I added more platforms bigbox takes longer to launch.

7.14. I am rebuilding launchbox on a clean 1tb 7200 HDD. 1 system at a time. To see if I still experience slow down in Bigbox

Startup Video plays fine but it seems after each new beta the views get slower. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I reinstalled my Video card Drivers and Switched over to WMP. Working well again. Thanks Jason

I want to rule that out as well on my end.

Just downloaded the latest version. Still locking up when scrolling through platform's and games. During Attract Mode wheel images vanish during wheel animation. Startup videos blank every other launch using WMP. At this point I might need to delete all my media and Data files and start over.

Doesn't Surprise me. thanks.....

Once I am home. I am guessing it's out.
