Hello all.
Im having an issue when launching bigbox mode from KODI.
When launching BB mode from kodi. Everything works fine. But when I exit BB mode to get back to Kodi...kodi freezes and I have to force close kodi.
This doesnt happen everytime though. This only happens when Ive been using bb mode for an hour or so loading various emulators.
Sidenote: I use "launcherforkodi" program to prevent Kodi from taking focus whenever bigbox is open.
And i notice that upon exiting BB mode. It is still open in task manager as "BIGBOXMODE- AHK"
Any help is appreciated. thanks as always!!!

Hopefully @SentaiBrador @Jason Carrcan help you out with it. Like I said I have no problems with mine using the version of FBA I stated above and cue + bin disk images.

I just tried what you said in regards to the "use file name only" checkbox. still, same issue.

Sidenote: all the neocd games i have work flawlessly outside of launchbox.

You don't need any command switches for FBA to run NeoGeo CD. To get it to load a game full screen look in the Video drop down menu for "Auto switch to full screen after loading".
On a personal opinion note I recommend using Mess for NeoGeo CD unless you don't mind accurate 1x cd load times which are pretty long on the NeoGeo CD. Mess lets you fast forward with the "insert" key by default.
Yea...the new version of fba has a fast foward key now as well. so the 1x loading speeds are not a problem.
OK so my fba loads full screen outside of launchbox by default.
The issue im having is that LB isnt loading fba at all. When i try to load a neocd game via LB..I get the following error message "fba.exe is not supported by FB Alpha." I believe im missing the correct command line for launchbox to load neo cd.

As the topic states..Im trying to use final burn ultra to load my neo geo games via Launchbox.
I noticed theres no preset command line for this emulator.
What would the correct command line be for auto full screen for neo cd games??

After playing with the settings..I realized I had the wheel turned off in platform. I turned it back on and that fixed the issue. All themes are working as they should at the moment. I will report back if any errors pop up. Thanks guys!

Hi. Im having an issue with themes in Bigbox mode. They were working fine with no issues.
Now today...no matter what theme I choose...it stays at default. The only troubleshooting I did was to roll back the beta update from 7.0 to 6.12. And still the problem persist. What to do??

haha...yea those are saturn games in the back round. But thats just coincidence.
ok so in associated platforms...I change my command line from "Fusion.exe -scd -fullscreen"[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" to
"-Fullscreen" . Like what you had in your screenshot. And it worked!!! Thanks for the help

I have nothing checked as well. Sega cd games load fine for you using fusion in launcbox??
fusion works fine only with genesis games in my case via launchbox. I have version 3.64 as well. Sega cd works fine outside of LB.

ok im using fusion emulator for sega cd. when I load up fusion outside of launchbox and load a sega cd game..it works flawlessy.
But when I try to load sega cd game from within Launchbox....I get the bios screen and it says "no disc".
im using this command line: Fusion.exe -scd -fullscreen"[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"
and I scraped only the cue files in the rom importing process.
Any ideas what im doing wrong?? thanks!

UPDATE: Thanks for everyones help. I deleted the dolphin config file from "my documents". and now dolphin loads gc and wii without needing admin control.

I still think there is a setting specific to Wii that you have in Dolphin that might be the cause of this, especially since GC works fine.
There's only one account on my pc. I'm the admin.
But now that u mention settings... That got me thinking. I'm going to delete my documents folder for dolphin. And see if that fixes it.

I have 2 pc's. And get the same issue on both.
Right now the common denominators are: both are running dolphin 5.0. And dolphin is installed on a separate internal drive on both. And both are win 10
When I get home, I'm going to try to launch it from the C drive and see if that makes a difference

If you installed it originally inside Program Files or Program Files (x86), try installing it somewhere else like in c:\emulators\dolphin.
I only need to run as admin when i play a wii game. When I run a GC game..it loads up errror free. However when I load a wii game..dolphin crashes right away unless I choose the "run as admin" option.
can you run wii games without admin rights on tour pc?

thanks for the quick reply. disabling UAC is the easy solution. But leaves my pc vulnerable. Thats pretty much my last resort if theres no other option.

The only way i can get dolphin to run wii games is only if I give dolphin admin privileges. But as a result...IM hit with a "USer account control" prompt everytime I run it.
This Creates an issue in Big box mode. Because the UAC prompt ruins the otherwise seamless experience.
So is there anyway to run dolp[hin with admin rights without having to click through the prompt?
HAs anyone been through anything similar regarding dolphin and wii games?? Im on windows 10

ive always been interested in retroarch bc of the crt shaders. But i just could never get it working right. retroarch ui isnt user friendly at all. But i see everyone getting amazing results.
What do you like most about retroarch?? What cool things can it do?

thanks again for responding. I ended up using my old cmd line from "gameex" and it worked perfectly (Snes9x.exe -fullscreen "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]").
the mame hotkeys worked!

How. I set up a global joypad exit for exiting emulators.(select+START). altought it works on most emulators ive tried. On Mame..the Global exit keys have no effect.
And on the dolphin emulator....I have to confirm exit with my mouse.
And on snes9x the global exit works..but when i restart the emulator it is no longer full screen and the options show at the top.

Every time I exit pcsx2, bigbox closes, and im returned back to desktop. This only started happening after recent updates.
Is this a known issue?? Im using the default Auto hotkey script by the way,
