Nintendo NES Marquee / Banners pack (No Intro set)
By Retrofrogg in Nintendo Entertainment System
Back once again - this time with a Nintendo NES Marquee / Banner pack. Based on the No-Intro set. Big shout out to @y2guru for the CTC marquee generator! The banners consist of a 3D box on the left, logo in the middle and cart on the right, all over a blurred fanart background. The set is fairly complete but some games don't have fan art and so these marquees just have a black background.
I had previously released a similar set for the Nintendo Famicom (Japan region), consisting of 1294 marquees. This new set includes all regions and contains 2522 marquees, split into 4 zips. Like before, these marquees are fairly long and slim, measuring 2250 x 500px.
A couple of other banner sets are out there but they're generally fatter in terms of the dimensions and with a different aesthetic.
Let me know if any issues or requests.

Amstrad CPC 464 Real 3D Box Art Project
By Retrofrogg in Amstrad CPC
Amstrad CPC Real 3D Box Art Project.
There are a few sources of 3D box art out there for the CPC464, though none that are as high resolution, realistic looking and true to the original as I wanted. In the absence of support for true 3D rotatable models, I decided to make this set.
This set uses a real cassette template in Photoshop into which the front covers and spines are inserted. English versions used where available, though foreign games are covered too.
Most 3D boxes are a "single" cassette box, though there are also double cassette boxes, disk boxes and cardboard boxes. I try and make the box art true to the original. Cassette boxes are prioritised where available. There are a very small number of games that came in boxes of anomalous sizes - I have tended to use the cardboard box template for these.
The single cassette box template is of superior quality to the double and disk box templates - if anyone can find the latter 2 in higher quality, let me know, though I'm relatively happy with the ones I have.
For freeware/PD/etc games, I am making "blank" cassette templates with the game name stuck to the front and spine of the cassette insert as an embossed label strip (like you could make with those old machines).
The rom set used is the Gamebase CPC set, which contains 3299 games.
New packs will be added here, so click follow to get updates. Any errors or missing games let me know!

Updates
19 Aug 2021: Pack added (A)
24 Aug 2021: Packs # and A being reworked: double cassette case will have the feint background removed, and 3D boxes for cardboard box games will be added
27 Aug 2021: Freeware/PD/etc games will have a 3D box made - using a blank cassette insert template with the game name printed on an embossed label and stuck to the front and spine
28 Aug 2021: Packs # (75 covers) and A (242 covers) have been updated to fix the translucent background issue for double cassette and disk cases, and PD/freeware 3D boxes have been added
10 Sep 2021: Packs added (B - 219 covers)
6 Nov 2021: Packs added (C - 249 covers)
15 September 2022: Apologies for the lack of updates since...well, the last update. This work is still on my radar. It is currently on pause as the "true 3D model box" feature has made it into the Launchbox implementation list as per the most recent poll. If this works well then I would plan to convert all these boxes to proper 3D model ones. So I'm just waiting to see what it looks like.
30 November 2022: So the 3D model box feature is now working in Launchbox, with a full-screen view having been implemented. Once a good jewel cassette box type has been added to the list of templates in Launchbox, I will go ahead and convert these images to a format that can be used with the 3D models, and continue to complete the set to work with the 3D models. There will then be little need to have these static 3D boxes in addition to the 3D model boxes and I likely won't complete the static set - but if anyone is interested in continuing this work with the static images, I'd be happy to share the resources.
26 February 2024: Over a year later and still no support for cassette-based platforms with the 3D box model feature, which is disappointing. Hopefully this will come soon.

Nintendo NES (not Famicom) 2.5D Front Box Art Pack, Hyperreal Series
By Retrofrogg in Nintendo Entertainment System
Something slightly different with this one. NES 2.5D "Hyperreal" set. Since NES games didn't come in cases and were just cardboard boxes, I have converted the box images into a cardboard box effect. It took quite a bit of tinkering but I'm happy with the end result.
This set is for the NES and not famicom, so it should include most regions other than Japan. Let me know if any boxes are missing and I'll add them in. Any suggestions regarding the boxes themselves then also let me know. Around 850 images. I plan to do the Famicom later. Check my other 2.5D sets.
Edit 08.01.23: I was going to revise these, but instead I will release a new pack compatible with the 3D model system.

Nintendo Famicom Banner Pack
By Retrofrogg in Nintendo Entertainment System
Banners for the Nintendo Famicom (Nintendo Entertainment System, Japan region). 1294 banners. I couldn't find anything I liked online so I made my own. Split into 7 zips. I display them at the top of the game details pane in Launchbox.
Many thanks to @Mr. RetroLust for his plugin, and to @y2guru for his Theme Creator app which I used to generate these.
Any requests let me know, and I'll add them. Nintendo Entertainment System pack to follow.
Edit 30.11.22 - I've replaced a bunch of the banners which had the 3D box, clear logo or cart image missing with complete ones; let me know if you want these added and I'll upload them.

Nintendo Wii (all regions) 2.5D Front Box Art Pack, Hyperreal Series
By Retrofrogg in Nintendo Wii
This is a big one folks! Nintendo Wii 2.5D front box art "Hyperreal" set. All regions. Aiming for a complete set. 1913 images. Due to the size, I have zipped each letter of the alphabet separately. Any errors or omissions, please let me know and I will rectify. I'll likely update this set soon once RVZ dats are available. See the screenshots for examples.
Why these images?
Short of proper 3D model box support in Launchbox, I find that "2.5D" is often the best box image type. 3D boxes can be good though the angle that they tend to be at makes the cover art a bit less clear, and all the spines can give an overall cluttered appearance which can be distracting from the artwork. The standard scraped box-front images tend to just look like jpg computer images and not the actual physical product. By 2.5D I mean that the image is of the actual front artwork, within the original box (not a "clean" reconstruction) and facing head on.
This set is created using a photo-realistic Nintendo Wii hard plastic case template (not a vector model), complete with the plastic cover overlay, within which the artwork sleeve is inserted. There is some subtle lighting and shadow effect. I'm aiming to create the most realistic sets out there, and am open to any feedback or suggestions.
PS Check my other 2.5D sets. I'm planning to do some more; any platform requests, let me know. Was going to attempt NES next.

Sega Genesis (USA/North America) 2.5D Front Box Art Pack, Hyperreal Series
By Retrofrogg in Sega Genesis
Sega Genesis USA/North America region box art. 741 images (No-Intro set) - let me know if any errors or omissions. A few extras are included for non-physical releases. I have my regions currently separated into USA/North America, Japan and Europe; anything not falling into the former 2 regions tends to fall into the Europe region.

That's where 2.5D comes in. By 2.5D I mean that the image is of the actual front artwork, within the box, facing head on. I'm a perfectionist and want the images to look as realistic as possible - just like the original game boxes. This set is therfore created using a photo-realistic hard plastic case template (not a vector model), complete with the little box hanger and mottled plastic cover, within which the artwork sleeve is inserted. There is some subtle lighting and shadow effect. I went through each item individually so that I could tailor the effect depending on the brightness and contrast of the box art. I'm aiming to create the most realistic sets out there, and am open to any feedback or suggestions. This is over a week's work - in future I will use a Photoshop automation and just set the effect somewhere in the middle, in order to save time!

By Retrofrogg in Sega Genesis
2.5D box art set for the Super Aladdin Boy - what the Sega Genesis was called in Korea. 76 images, based on the No-Intro set. Some covers were hard to come by. Let me know if anything is missing.
