I have a launcher for BigBox. One of the important things it does is wait for BigBox to close before executing some cleanup scripts. I seem to no longer be able to wait for the BigBox process to finish. If I call BigBox like this from the command prompt: "start /wait C:\Games\Emulators\LaunchBox\BigBox.exe" one would expect it should wait for BigBox to close before continuing, but this no longer works as it did in prior versions. I can only assume it is because it is launching BigBox as another process and closing the initial one that launched it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Is there a command I can pass to force it to not close the initial process? Any help would be appreciated so I can properly fix my launcher plugin.

GamestreamLauncher (For Custom Scripts, Multiple Monitors, Miners, etc) View File GamestreamLauncher is a simpler launcher application to help assist with operations to be completed before and after a gamestream session. This can be used to launch any application, but I find it works great with BigBox as a launch point for my PC and emulator games. Workflow on Gamestream Session start: Disable GPU Miner through Awesome Miner if running Disable non-primary monitors if present Run a custom script Launch Game (BigBox) Workflow on Session end: Run a custom script Enable non-primary monitors that were previously disabled Enable the GPU Miner through Awesome Miner if it was previously disabled Close the Gamestream session gracefully Installation: Copy the extracted folder to your desired location. Run GamestreamLauncher.exe to configure the launcher. Add a custom game in Geforce Experience that points to GamestreamLauncher.exe. The launcher is configured with the config utility when launching it for the first time. You can run the config utility again by deleting the user.config file that can be found at %localappdata%\GamestreamLauncher under the proper version. Known NVidia GameStream issues this launcher will resolve: Launching a game while a miner is active GameStream will "flicker" when multiple monitors are active during the stream - https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1022778/gamestream/flickering-with-gamestreaming-on-new-windows-builds-/ The launcher is open source and can be found on github here: https://github.com/loueradun/GamestreamLauncher Submitter loueradun Submitted 10/12/2018 Category Third-party Apps and Plugins

Okay one more small thing, if check for updates is checked please don't auto install them when launching BigBox... Launching through GameStream through a custom launcher, kicked off the installation so BigBox.exe closed and triggered the stream to end causing the streamer to kill all threads initiated by the stream (including the Launch box installer). Broke my entire setup, hoping a reinstall will get it fixed. Edit: Oh thank god, a reinstall fixed it. Had to archive my metadata before I reinstalled for good measure but all looks good now.

I have seen similar issues with my left stick as well, although after I map my inputs, all my cores and ROMs work fine, just the retroarch menu still had the inversion, but the d-pad works fine there. One trick that may work for you is using VirtualHere. You can essentially share any USB device plugged into your Shield with your host PC using this software like it was directly plugged in. I use this for my Mayflash Dolphinbar (for Wii games). Edit: also for reference I don't have an inverted control stick in BigBox, just in retroarch. I believe they have some sort of incorrect profile mapped for input devices shared through GameStream

True, I always forget that's available because they have an app for literally everything it seems. Anyways we're sort of derailing the topic at hand. I'm just happy my only minor gripe is the deadzone for controllers in BigBox as posted above (besides the occasional hang, but what do you expect with 16gb of game metadata). In fact I just grabbed a lifetime license after my prior one expired. Thank you devs for this awesome piece of software.

To me this seems like something where if you wait a few years there may be some respectable third party API that could make it work without much fuss. I think building a streaming service from the ground up would be quite a challenge. I am a plex guy myself as well, there is something to be said about configuring everything at the server versus Kodi's whole front end config setup. Setting up a new Plex instance is literally as easy as installing the app and signing in.

Honestly think this is beyond the scope of Launch box, there are already some decent tools for this stuff, I'd rather you guys spend your development hours on improving the core features.

I know this isn't exactly the same thing, but I wrote a launcher that I use for BigBox + GameStream the deals with miners, multiple monitors, and let's you run custom scripts before/after streaming. Should work with the NVidia official GameStream service or moonlight. https://github.com/loueradun/GamestreamLauncher/releases

On the topic of controller options, please add a deadzone adjustment for BigBox.

I really want to see this option as well. I am using Big Box over Nvidia's Gamestream and stream to multiple TVs in the house. Dolphin supports stereoscopic 3D and one of my TVs supports 3D, but there are no command line arguments to enable the feature. So I have to enable 3D in Dolphin if I want to use it, and disable it when I'm done. It would be awesome if I could just have a seperate Dolphin install configured for 3D that I could launch instead. Would love to see it function similar to the additional applications where it adds a new option like "Dolphin 3D" that could be used if I am in front of the 3D TV, or I could use the standard Dolphin if I am using my other TV.
