I'm not going to add much to this thread other than I really would pay another license juste for a Linux port of Launchbox/Bigbox. I really like it, and now that my Windows emulation machine is dead (SSD crashed) I was thinking about installing Linux instead because Windows is getting worse and worse as time goes by and given how hostile Microsoft is being I don't see this improving at all. On the other side, Linux has made big improvements and while it's far from perfect, it's made lots of progress. Being a dev myself I understand how big of a rewrite would be considering the tech used to build Launchbox to begin with, so all I can do is add my voice to the crowd who would like a Linux version of launchbox.

Thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction : I tried to go look for the file sin Windows and couldn't see any thumbnails for them in Explorer. Turns out I had done the whole downloading with another Windows user using remote desktop and permissions weren't set right and my "arcade" user wasn't able to read all files in Launchbox folder. My issue is solved, thank you two very much

Thanks for the tip, I've just tried that, but alas. I tried the "View images" key to look at pictures. I see logos, screenshots, even arcade marquees (forgot to uncheck that hwen downloading medias) but no boxes, no carts. Weird thing, they do show up in Launchbox, all my medias are there. Is there a way to reset Big box configuration only without touching Launchbox ?

Hello there. I've been trying out themes and different views to see which one would suit me best, however, I've been having trouble with game boxes not showing anymore on Big Box. they do show up on Launchbox and at some point I had t hem displayed on Big box but not anymore. I tried switching to 3D Boxes in Big Box options and these work and show in game list view. However, when I switch back to displaying boxes, none appear. Did someone have this problem before? How could I troubleshoot or fix it? I really feel Launchbox could need some kind of logging so we know what's going on under the hood sometimes.

Hello. I'm probably doing something wrong, but I had to reinstall Launchbox and redo my config recently and for some reason with the default theme, videos for platform don't display on the platform list. I looked through the options and didn't see anything to enable/disable them there. I downloaded the right files in videos/platforms via Launchbox, and the metadata shows they're there, but for some reason I don't see them, while I see videos from individual games. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks in advance

I actually have the same problem, but for me the boxes were already unchecked. Not sure what to do from there EDIT: Nevermind, the bios was the issue.
