I see Ps4 games popping up on quite a few sites lately, is there a particular reason for this? I don't recall hearing about a Ps4 exploit and I know we ant emulating it any time soon? Is this just data hording at this point?

Any ideas why I am getting so many 404 errors when searching for metadata? I wouldn't mind but searching for missing data takes many hours.

I'm so happy " Add Sort By Options to Big Box " got included since I couldnt make it to the stream, one of the things I've wanted for a long time is a way to sort the platforms in Big Box by release date instead of alphabetically

Previous to now I have been a fan of Pinball Arcade and have been quite happy with their work. I am immensely annoyed by the Williams/Balley license going to to Zen since I hate their physics and it seems unlikely PA will get new tables at this point. I've become curious about pinball emulators such as Visual Pinball or Future Pinball, how are the physics in these and are they able to be integrated with Launchbox?

So up until recently I have been using a scanlines in Retroarch but no longer want to use them as they dont look so great on a 4k tv. When I load a game through Big Box/LaunchBox the scanlines are on so I proceed to open the quick menu and delete all the shaders, when I close the game and open something else even if its the same game they are back, I have even tried saving overrides for cores and games and no such luck there either.

So I have two quick questions for Big Box the first being is it possible to make the platform list release order instead of alphabetical? The other question I had is in regards to Attract Mode, is there a way to make it more random? Every time it starts it seems to go to the same couple of platforms even though I have a large list of them.

Currently I am neck deep in adding Dos games to my setup and was curious, are there any good methods for adding/playing Win9x games? Obviously for some I can go the GoG route and buy and add the executable but I'm curious what my options are for the more obscure stuff. Traditionally I would use a virtual machine but are there any alternatives like Dos Box that can be incorporated into Launchbox?

I think I might finally throw Rocket Launcher out the window and re-import everything that way I can prevent this in the future.

Ballz. all of my cd based platforms were on another hard drive and not contained in the Launchbox folder. Welp, this will be fun.

Sooooo my Launchbox is slowly ballooning out of control and needs to be transplanted to a new 8tb hard drive. Is there anyway to this with out busting everything? Am I doomed to just rebuild everything and launch Rocket Launcher into the sun in the process.

I'd be curious of this as well since the last one is being held together with duct tape and sheer force of will after all the mods I have made to it

You may be onto something with that. I was testing shaders in retroarch and it would launch like that. If I launch it through Launchbox/rocket launcher it loads with a default bezel for the system. Curious were Retroarch is getting this blank bezel from

Check to make sure your AV isnt nuking it. I had mine kill one random ddl file and it wouldnt start because of it

Whenever I start a game currently they start on the left hand side of the screen. I can see the whole image still so its still playable but its kinda distracting, any idea how to fix this?

So things were working mostly fine until I updated to 9.2. When using BigBox now it no longer fills the screen, if I switch it two my smaller screen 2 it fills it just fine. I wouldnt mind if it didnt fill the whole window but it still acts as if the program is at a larger resolution and actually cuts off part of the window.

So previously I was on 7.1 when my license expired and hadn't upgraded to lifetime till today. After upgrading to lifetime and updating to 9.1 Launchbox uses 100% of my hard drive according to task manager and my computer slows to a absolute crawl and clears up immediately after closing. Currently I have it running to see if it clears up since I have alot of stuff on my setup I wasnt sure if it has to reload every image again or something. Edit: ok so I found the cause. If I select "All" instead of a specific platform it maxes out the hard drive. it immediately returns to normal if I select a platform though.

It may just not be up to the task, with a clean install and just the SNES platform it comes to a halt as soon as it starts to scroll, doesn't crash at least.

Yeah you'll have to manually download them and I think there is a daily limit as well, been a while since I have not been a member. You also get access to their FTP with premium which has stuff that hasnt been approved for the site yet as well.

So I have a copy of Launchbox set up and running perfectly on my gaming PC, I have since made a copy of everything to a external hard drive. When I attempt to run Big Box on my laptop it runs rather slowly, its fine if I start a game but scrolling through titles is in the 1-10 fps if you are lucky, not to mention if attract mode starts the whole damn thing locks up and crashes and thats with the speed turned way down. the laptop specs are Windows 10 Home, 2.4Ghz 4 core AMD Processor with 8 gbs ram and onboard memory. The external HD is USB 3 but it is in a 2.0 slot on the laptop. I'm thinking the hard drive might be a bottle neck but I thought Id ask here first just in case. Update: after several hours of copying stuff to the internal HD I still have the same issue even with the default theme and after refreshing all images
