    Hobbies

I thought it would be fun to start a thread talking about hobbies and other things everyone is into outside of the world of LaunchBox or emulation in general. Anyone have any fun hobbies? I'm a woodworker, beer brewer, and working on restoring an old military Jeep.
  2. It seems use of arrow keys on the keyboard are very useful. Can a normal joystick be used in place of them for navigation?
  3. Just a heads up the link to the DOSBox wizard when importing give a 404 page error. https://www.launchbox-app.com/forum/troubleshooting/dos-game-wizard
  4. In many tutorials I hear reference to the naming convention of ROM files and how LaunchBox is able to find them to import. However, I haven't heard what actually is the correct naming convention or if there even is one. Is there? If so can someone explain it to me?
  5. For those of you who have or are building a full cabinet for your arcade I wanted to ask what provisions have you built into your control panel in addition to the standard joystick and button used to play. Meaning, do you have a specific button for pause? Volume control? Forward or back for controlling navigation within LaunchBox? Things like that. I want to make sure I don't miss something that will be really user friendly after the fact.
  6. Could be a mute point then.
  7. For my setup I have a 256GB SSD drive for the OS and a 4TB tradition HDD for storage. Currently everything but the emulators are on the traditional 4TB drive. I would like to have Launchbox and the emulators (maybe the games that fit) run from from the SSD drive, but any large game files and more importantly the gigs of images, videos, ect stored on the traditional drive. Is this possible and if so how?
  8. Thanks for the suggestions. I will try using masking tape when I remake the control panel cover. I'll use a holesaw as well. I was using a forstner bit.
  9. I've left on the protective clear covering but haven't tried masking tape.
  10. I wondered if anyone has tips on cutting plexiglass for covering my control panel. It seems no matter how careful I am I still get cracks when drilling for the panel's buttons.
