I only actually cut and pasted from his artwork onto the templates, didn't even know there were animated controls on them. At a guess I would say try one of his files first so take out the pictures and leave the lay file. If that doesn't work then maybe replace the lay file with one from his templates. Which file are you looking for to replace?

His video got me into making the bezels to begin with. i used his templates to create mine and for all the ones I found on the internet to re configure to fit. As they were all set up for 16:9 ratio tv. Great tutorials and to begin with mine were quite basic and then got slightly better the more I did them. and not forgetting the great free artwork package called Gimp which is so easy to use.

Hi ItchyRobot, Thanks for the positive response. I think it's amazing what all the emulation community have created so far, and to share their work for everyone to create amazing frontend/emulation systems for themselves. I to will be eventually be using a 16:9 tv so found that the bezels available covered too much of the playfield, that's why I started converting them and then ended up making my own ones as loads were missing. To be honest I'm not that great when it comes to the Tekky side of emulation. I only got into emulation about a year or so ago and only by way of watching youtube tutorials. gave up for a year after failing miserably with Hyperspin, then came across Launchbox which is brilliant for the non tech person. Amazing work by these guys. I think I'm using Mame .194 but my rom set is from a Final Burn Alpha download plus some roms downloaded from emuparadise. I say I think I'm using version .194, as I made a fatal error the other week. After I finished all these bezels I uploaded them into mame had all of them setup apart from the dual screen bezels (still trying to figure out how the lay file works for these) and then sorted all my 3d Box artworks so it all looked good in Launchbox/bigbox. Was just waiting for a price to get my SSD and HDD backed up and sods law, my HDD died on me. My local pc guy was unable to get any data from it and have had quotes from people to extract the data is going to cost 275 pounds that's without the cost of a new 3 tb hard drive. So I'm starting it all again from scratch. luckily I have most of my roms on a back up disk and all my artwork on another PC. Gutted though cos I'd just finished setting up Future Pinball to launch via launchbox. Getting back to Mame. I just dropped all the bezels into mames artwork folder, launched each game from launchbox and just changed the Horizontal/vertical layout to .966 for each games (this works for most games, with a few tweaks here and there). I really don't know if there is a quicker way to do it. regards, Adam

Fair enough. Personally, If someone was to take the bezels I created and changed them and uploaded to the community of launchbox, emumovies ect without crediting me, It wouldn't bother me at all. If I didn't want others to use them then I would never have uploaded them.

Hi Orionsangel, I hope you don't mind me using your side cabinets. but they were spot on to be used as bezels for games with no artwork available. Apologies for not asking permission in the first place. Regards, Adam

MAME 3D Boxes (330) LaunchBox Database Set View File Hi All, This download has 330 Mame 3D boxes, using the template originally created by Robin55. I really liked the generic boxes for my mame rom set but had these files missing from mine mainly due to most of these roms being clones of original games. example Ave Fenix/Vatour = clones of Phoenix. Some rom titles are from the far east including adult themed games. for most of these 3d boxes I was unable to find any arcade flyer artworks so just used game screen shots and other artwork found on tinternet just so i could complete my collection. Please note some of mine maybe dupes of Robin55 3d Boxes. A further note is that some of the names may have some slight adjustments, as I found out when I loaded them into mame image folder, but totally forgot to amend my original (on another pc) Submitter Reevesad Submitted 06/16/2018 Category Game Box Art

Hi weller96c, Okay thanks for the comment. no one else has had this issue as far as I'm aware. But I will upload the files again to the originals. let me know if you have the same issue again. thanks. (ps i'll upload the X-Z first as it's a smaller file, the other one will take an age to upload cos it's the UK and my broadband is sloooooowwwww)

Brilliant work, I'm just downloading the update with the clear logos in the spine of the boxes. nice touch. What software package did you use to make these? did you set them up so that they are sized and perspective aligned automatically? or is it manual for each one? I've been creating a lot of bezels to place directly into Mame artwork folder using Gimp art package. Tbh it turned out to be a "Why did I start this" but I had to finish it.

Hi All, *****As of 20th September 2018, I've updated the original uploads with the files containing these amendments. So do not bother to download unless you have the original download***** *****The following files are amendments to the original files already uploaded previously. I've gone through all the bezels created and have found about 240+ bezels that needed to be amended due to mostly colour differences around the edges***, plus some updates have been added to some of the earlier bezels when I first started. (arcade backgrounds added + ones that I didn't like) Contains 126 file **amendments** (letters A - Z part 2) Adam -

Hi All, These are my Mame Bezel Art files which include a "Lay" file (so can be dumped straight into the Mame artwork folder once you unzip the main folder. These files will be ideal for use direct into Mame and on a tv with 16:9 view. Contains 33 files (letters X - Z) of bezel arts from the internet, oh plus some of my own that I've cloned into two different glass views. I've opted for the "Real Frame Clear" and "Real Frame Glass" effect and just done left and right sides rather than all round as that would just take way too long and also I found a lot of the bezels found on the internet just take up too much of the screen and to compensate this you have to change the screen size. (i've also included other versions found on the internet if you prefer those to the ones I used). Both mame formats 4:3 Horizontal and 3:4 Vertical have been done. Once placed in the Mame Artwork folder start a game and Tab to Video Options pick which one you prefer "Clear" or "glass" and then you have to make a slight adjustement within the "Slider" tab for both Screen Horizontal and Screen Vertical (usually around .966 for both) The games are taken from the rom set that I currently have so title names may slightly differ from the ones you have. (i'm happy to email anyone my Excel file with all the game names vs rom names, if needed) For the games that I could not find any artwork at all for, I've setup a few standard looking sets (6 Horizontal and 6 Vertical) which gives a view as if your in an actual arcade. ****Any comments or feedback would be much appreciated people***** Adam -

Hi All, For those of you that have been downloading all the Mame bezel arts that I've been uploading over the last couple of months. I upgraded my PC monitor the other day to an LED screen and was shocked to see quite a few bezels had pretty poor finishes to them. So over the last couple of day's I've gone through all the files created so far and picked up the ones that look pretty bad. Mainly ones with colour differences around the edges and also some of my earlier bezels in the a -c range I;ve changed/altered. I'm in the process of amending those files (roughly 200+) and will upload them once completed. half way there so far. I will also be going over some of the Mame games that are Dual screens, Punch out, Arm wrestling, Gp Rider ect. and hopefully putting together a bezel set to work within mame. Regards, Adam
