Any command line experts that can help?
-
Ok - so progress made.
I have Mame launching the ROM through Launchbox (using abc80 -flop1 for the command line option)
but this only takes me to the ABC80 prompt.
I still have to manually type in:
load"Avenger"
then
run
to start the game.
Anyway to automate that in the command line?
-
I was trying to use abcwin. But I will grab latest name. Is the software list in a merged set (60 gigs roughly)?
-
Hello,
Anyone get ABC80 working? Can't get it working outside (or inside) of launchbox with any emulator. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong or have the wiring files.
-
I restarted and dropped rocketlauncher. Retroarch worth it to be less clunky.
-
Is there no way to get it to auto play? The Roms/Carts work automatically.
Also, how do I put both commands? coco3 -flip1 -cart ?
-
Hey folks,
Seeking some assistance.
I have a new Mame set up with Mess added to the folder (I couldn't get TRS80 to run w/out MESS in the Mame folder).
I got Carts/roms to play through launchbox with the following command line: coco3 -cart
but for the life of me I can't disks to play. I've tried: coco3 -cart -flop1 - I've tried coco3 -flop1 -cart - I've tried coco3 -flop
Extra information - I have the Mess roms and all the games (disk and carts) in the ROM folder.
Any help would be appreciated.
-
That is frustrating. So there is no way to make a playlist that captures any mention of "Sega" for instance.
-
Hey Folks,
Is there currently a way to build an auto-generated playlist that contains Either "Developer contains Sega" or "Publisher contains Sega" I'm looking for a larger playlist that has any games either or both developed or published by Sega.
If I put in both rules - it only creates a playlist where both rules are true.
Thanks in advance.
-
I wish for this as well
-
Understood that the themes could be changed back, but I like the look of the new default overall, yet without titles below, I can't use it.b just thought you would want more community feedback
-
My 2 cents -I also would prefer the names below and centered in the new default. Just some feedback

Retrofried Style - Genre Theme Videos
View File
Hi Folks,
Thanks, to this video from Planet Geekdom -
and special thanks to Retrohumanoid (I'm using his backgrounds - that I slightly modified - and his signature style - of course).
I needed these (and a bunch more) and I hope they are of some use to others. If there are any special requests or changes - let me know.
Additionally, if Retrohumanoid - has an issue with me doing these - I'll find a way to modify them (new backgrounds I think).
Hope people like them. I would definitely appreciate constructive criticism - I've only been working on them for a few days. More to come...
Edit - I took down an earlier version I made for Rail Shooters - it had problems.

Rail Shooters - Theme Video - Unified Refried Style
View File
This is my first attempt at making a genre theme video.
Big thanks and recognition to Retrohumanoid - I used one of his backgrounds and his refried design style.
Also thanks to Planet Geekdom for the tutorial

I bump again

May lack tact, but nearly all good ideas , especially as the system grows with Android

I would love this, I never have any clue what size to use.

I never got it to work. Also looking for this.
-
It hung for me (maybe 4-5) minutes - exactly like the screens above - then installed fine. You might need to wait longer?

I suggest you better protect your neck!

The Best?!?

A collection of playlists and clear logos for the top games from a a large number of consoles, computers, and handhelds. Most folders contain a Gold, silver, bronze, and best playlist (which combines the bronze, silver, and gold)
Below you will find links to all the spreadsheets for the sources I used to compile the data. REMINDER: These are not in order of “Best” these are in order of mentions based upon aggregating a number of “Best of” lists. In some cases, smaller lists, or higher ranked games were given greater weight to arrive at a more balanced list.
I have omitted some systems - either because there weren’t enough quality games released, games are still being released, or I don’t have them in my Launchbox set-up (yet).
These took me a long time to compile. I hope they are helpful.

For now they are just lists. This week I will upload all the playlists
-
While I feel pretty good about the state of these lists, I am also eager to share, fix, add, or update. Feel free to send suggestions my way.
Each spreadsheet also includes all the sources I used to compile the data. REMINDER: These are not in order of “Best” these are in order of mentions based upon aggregating a number of “Best of” lists. In some cases, smaller lists, or higher ranked games were given greater weight to arrive at a more balanced list.
I realize that I have omitted some systems - either because there weren’t enough quality games released, games are still being released, or I don’t have them in my Launchbox set-up (yet).
These took me a long time to compile. I hope they are helpful to some.
I wanted to include the xml playlist files, but I switched to using custom tags on my games - and creating playlists based on the custom tags. So in short, my XML playlist files won't be very helpful to you unless I convert them. If there is desire for them - maybe at least 5-10 requests, I'll do the labor and put it together. I can also include custom images (samples shown)

I just wanted to mention that several games display black screen for up to a before the games start. It drive me crazy until I figured this out.
ABC 80 emulation?
in Troubleshooting
Posted
to be honest. I tried looking at it and can't figure it out. Just seems like there are endless options and I don't understand what each one does. Do I need a custom command line for each game? Can the command line in Launchbox be multiple rows? It doesn't appear that way.
I got this part (abc80 -flop1)
but this part I can't figure out:
load"Avenger"
then
run
