By rom116I couldn't find a favorites video for my arcade machine that had all the games I love so I made one. Hope you guys like it. I found the logo for the marquee on here and found the background photo online.

By xevious1974Hi all,
I was searching a video to tribute the GREAT Bitmap Brothers Game with a playlist but I wasn't able to find one.
So I have tried to make one. It is very simple and with imperfections but I have done it with passion. So I hope you can appreciate it even if it is my first video.
Anyway, if you find another one...tell me! But meanwhile...

By FerndooThis is a super amateur after effects job so please let me know where I can improve. I felt that there were a lot of series missing videos for the playlist on big box so I thought id try something out. I plan on doing more so please leave suggestions for what series you want next.

Thanks to all who made the sprites used in this video!
By Wanderer189My biggest request has been a video set that would work well with the COLORFUL bigbox theme. Well.......
HERE YA GO! Grab your controllers, snacks, drinks, and all the other necessaries you need and prepare to game!!!
These are "center screened" genre/category/collection based videos. Of course designed to match and work with my Clear Logos & Playlists Sets. You can download the individual files or the Entire Set of almost 500 video snaps (6 files at the bottom, doesn't include Platform & Platform Categories videos, they are in the download list).
They look real good in the Unified Redux theme too, as well as most of the other themes I have tried that like videos😋.
Sample Video: (it's kinda long, I was trying to show the different views)
Many, many thanks to Viking for creating this awesome theme and giving me permission to incorporate some of his work into the making of this video set. My favorite setup so far!!!
My Other Stuff:
Clear Logos Sets 1000's of Genres/Categories clear logos
Ultimate Playlist Beginner Setup Guide & Starter Collection (with clear logos, auto generated playlists & video sets, smaller in size and easier to download)
Massive #1 - 100's of "full size" genre/category videos that match my clear logo sets
Massive #2 - 100's of "right side" genre/category videos that match my clear logo sets (Cemfundog and I collaborated on this and using his design I created these to go with his animated Retro Console Theme v2.
TV Commercial "Platform" Videos (set of 40 platforms)
Enjoy! All comments, reviews, questions and suggestions are much appreciated!!!

By Wanderer189These are redesigned from my other videos that match my Clear Logos packs. Cemfundog and I collaborated on this and using his design I created these to go with his animated Retro Console Theme v2. They may or may not work with other themes, I haven't checked.
These are also much smaller in file size.
Since they are individual files, you can download just the ones you want. There are a some samples videos below. (screenshots really don't let you experience the "video" portion).

1920x1080 30-40 seconds (looping) Title bounces in at 15 seconds These are simple drag-n-drop into your: "...\Launchbox\Videos\Playlists\" directory. I will be uploading them by letter ("A's", then "B's", etc.) as I get them done. (This time I done the "Play Modes" first as asked for)
I hope you enjoy them and a big thanks to cemfundog for his awesome themes.

By Wanderer189These are full sized genre/category based videos I did to work with my Clear Logos & Playlists sets (link below). You can download the individual videos files or the entire set using the 14 files at the bottom. They work with most of the themes I have tried. The screenshots messed up on the original post so I created this one to replace it. I had made a few changes to some of the videos that I was saving for an update, but instead uploaded everything here.
Screenshot 01-05 is using the Unified Redux theme
Screenshot 06-10 is using the Retro Console theme
Screenshot 11-15 is using the Default theme in BigBox
Here is a sample video. (using the Unified Redux to show full size)
The videos are nothing fancy and there are lots of them (almost 500). The videos specs are:
1920x1080 Around 30-40 seconds (looping) Title bounces in at 15 seconds These are simple drag-n-drop into your "...\Launchbox\Videos\Playlists\" folder or "...\Launchbox\THEME YOU ARE USING\Videos\Playlists\" folder.
To get the complete set:
Download the 14 files below Put all the files into the same folder Extract
Matching Clear Logos (includes auto-generated playlists)
1000's of Clear Logos focusing on Genres/Categories (all the videos here are using these Clear Logos) My other video sets:
NEW - Extreme Gamer Collection (center based, works with COLORFUL and most other themes)
Ultimate Set with Playlist Beginner Setup Guide (videos geared to left side wheels, smaller in size and easier to download) (the EASY way to get you started with genres/categories setup on your rig(s). Instructions, clear logos, playlists and videos, all in one place)
TV Commercial Platform Videos
MASSIVE #2 - 100's of Videos focusing on Genre/Categories (made for Retro Console Theme V2) - No video for this set yet

By Wanderer189Someone asked me to post this to help them get their playlists set up after seeing one of my rigs. I thought it might be helpful to others as well. If you have ever wanted to get into using the Playlists features in BigBox the easy way, this just might be what you've been looking for. A huge thanks goes out to Viking for giving me permission to use some of his videos to incorporate into these sets. He does absolutely amazing work! Thank you Sir!
Here is a short video showing what you will (sorta) have when you are finished (we all have different games):
The videos used are a new design and are different from my other sets. There are links to those below. I am using the Retro Console Theme v2 for this guide, but the principles are the same and should work with most of the current themes, but the videos snaps used in the guide are more geared towards those themes that offer left sided Vertical Wheels. If you follow the entire guide, after your finished you will be a Pro with how Launchbox uses the playlists, videos, clear logos, etc..
If you are new to Launchbox or how the playlists, images, videos, etc., work in Launchbox, I strongly suggest that you start out using the Retro Console Theme (or v2) to set everything up. This will give you what is in the sample video. After you have it all set up, and you know everything is working, you can experiment with different themes, video sets, playlists, etc..
Here is how to do it:
After you have Launchbox installed and all your games imported, make a backup or a copy of your entire Launchbox folder so you can always go back if you make a mistake. The path should be something like "c:\program files\launchbox", depending on where you installed Launchbox.
First thing to do is to download one of the Retro Console Themes, they can be found here:
Retro Console Theme or Retro Console Theme V2
After you have the theme installed and working as you like, change your views in the theme to the following:
Default Startup View: Platform Categories
Games List View: Vertical Wheel 2
Platforms List View: Platform Wheel 4 - (you can always change these later to your personal tastes)
- To get to these settings: <ESC> on your keyboard, go down to Options, then Views, then press <ENTER>
Next you need to download the following 4 files:
Complete Clear Logo Set.zip - (visit the post to download them individually or by set) Complete Ultimate Platforms Video (at the bottom of the Download this file list) Complete Ultimate Platform Categories Video (at the bottom of the Download this file list) Complete Ultimate Playlists Video Set.zip.mp4 (at the bottom of the Download this file list) (All the files can be downloaded individually if you prefer using the Download this file button)
After all the files have been downloaded, the first thing you need to do is rename the three downloaded VIDEO files (you need to remove the .mp4 from the end of them). So, "Complete Ultimate Playlists Video Set.zip.mp4" will be renamed to "Complete Ultimate Playlists Video Set.zip" and so on. (I had to do this to allow me to upload the complete set as a zip file. This section of the forums doesn't allow .zip extensions). Make sure to do the 3 of them before trying to extract them.
After they have been renamed, extract all 4 files. When you extract the Complete Clear Logo Set.zip, it will be the close to 500 individual sets of zipped files that are .7z and will have to be extracted again. (I had to do this for upload/download size because the forum didn't accept the .7z format)
Now using the Readme.txt in the extracted folders, drop-n-drag everything where it needs to go.
Once you get everything copied into its proper place, open BigBox and go into the settings and "Refresh All Images"
-To get to these settings: <ESC> on your keyboard, go down to Options, then Image Cache, then press <ENTER>, then down to "Refresh All Images" and press <ENTER>
Note: BigBox will be a bit slow at first as all the new images need to load and cached, this is normal, after everything is cached up it'll be good-to-go.
Don't forget to configure your controller so you can easily switch between Platforms, Platform Categories, Playlists, etc..
This is a super simple way to get started with using playlists and genres/categories. I hope this has been helpful. Now you can fully customize as your heart desires with different themes, modifying your genre/category data of your games, playlists, videos, etc..
If you add new games or have games that are not appearing in your new playlist setup, go to the game in Launchbox, right-click on it and select "edit" and change the genre(s) to match the categories you would like it to appear in from the drop-down. Launchbox should update all your playlists for you!
If you add any new genre(s) and create new additional auto-generated playlists, each one will need a new clear logo (for each platform used) and a video snap created for it in order to match this set. I will try to upload all my templates later so you can make your own clear logos and videos after I get everything done. I will try to do requests, but try to make them for genres that have at least 5-10 games through out all the platforms.
If you have modified or customized playlists, you can add these, but be careful not to over-write your current ones.
Links to my clear logo packs and other videos sets - you can download them individually or by collection:
Clear Logo Sets NEW - Extreme Gamer Collection Videos (works with COLORFUL and most other themes) Massive #1 Videos - full screen videos Massive #2 Videos - made for Retro Console Theme V2 using matching fonts, etc. TV Commercial Platform Videos Please leave questions, suggestions, comments & reviews below and I will get back as soon as I can.
By Mr.LaorHi Folks,
Thanks, to this video from Planet Geekdom -
and special thanks to Retrohumanoid (I'm using his backgrounds - that I slightly modified - and his signature style - of course).
I needed these (and a bunch more) and I hope they are of some use to others. If there are any special requests or changes - let me know.
Additionally, if Retrohumanoid - has an issue with me doing these - I'll find a way to modify them (new backgrounds I think).
Hope people like them. I would definitely appreciate constructive criticism - I've only been working on them for a few days. More to come...
Edit - I took down an earlier version I made for Rail Shooters - it had problems.
By buxilaksThis is a video for 'BRUTAL Doom' as a playlist.
My list was created by importing Windows shortcuts.
In the Windows shortcut i created, I've told Windows to boot Doom in GZdoom.exe (the program that runs Doom) and at the same add BRUTAL Doom as a mod.
Right-click on your new shortcut --> Select 'Properties' --> go to the tab 'Shortcut' --> Under 'Target' add the command you want.
Mine looks like this:
"D:\01 Roms\Brutal Doom\gzdoom.exe" -file doomu.wad brutalv20b_R.pk3
See screenshot for help. It's basically the software gzdoom.exe with doomu.wad followed by brutalv20b_R.pk3
DON'T FORGET THE "" MARKS, OR IT WONT WORK
Now drag and drop your new Windows shortcut on Launchbox and select 'None of the above' when asked.
Select Windows as platform and proceed to the end.
This way I've added a list of games for the Doom engine, with or without mods, as separate shortcuts/Launchbox games.

By Robin55This is a collection of Playlist Genre Intro Videos made from collections of snaps from console games only. These are completely re-built animated versions of my original Intro videos I will be adding to the collection regularly. I was looking for a way to make the videos longer and this is the concept I came up with. Big Thanks to the Emumovies community for their work in recording the snaps also big thanks to @letstalkaboutdune for the use of some of his logos.
If you find my work of use could you please consider donating to my Patreon found here: https://www.patreon.com/RobinLevingstone

By Robin55This is a collection of mostly Console based Genre Intro Videos I have made. The concept is to make the videos fit with @letstalkaboutdune's Arcade Genre collection though there are some slight differences. Big thanks to letstalkaboutdune for his help and his Beat 'em up, Shoot 'em up, Puzzle, Fighting, Platform, Racing Sports and Run & Gun Logos. Thanks to @Mute64 for his LightGun Logo. The other Logos are either Hyperspin logos or were made by me. Many thanks to the EmuMovies community and the HyperSpin community. The video files are hosted at EmuMovies.

I was pretty unhappy with how the first one turned out. Made it in a rush just to have something in my setup since it has been blank for a long time. This is a second attempt and I think I prefer this one much better. All of the themes featured were made by me except for the TMNT one (made by @RetroHumanoid) and are downloadable here in the forums.
I did a couple of versions of videos for the SEGA Mega Drive & Genesis Collection release on PC via Steam and thought it might also make a good Playlist video for anyone that wanted/has a SEGA Classics Playlist, so uploading a version for that purpose, as well (clear logo above).
Link to the PC Game Themes too for anyone interested in those:
