  1. I know that lol. I'm using the button location for example.
  2. First off, let me start by saying LaunchBox is the best thing to come out in years, for me anyways. Anywho, Launchbox is FULLY compatable and portable by just installing into a Google Drive folder (with Sync of course!). For example, I installed my Launchbox into a drive off my google account. Even specifically made a new one and called it LaunchBoxKUPO. My mother absolutely loves older games, like SNES, NES, etc. but obviously, most mothers won't know how to get roms, set up input controls, the likes. Going to her laptop, I installed Sync and logged into my account. It automatically added my Launchbox folder from my computer onto hers, complete with EVERYTHING (controls, roms, manuals, already set up emumovies account) and I never had to, or rather she never had to and never will have to touch a single thing on her laptop other than the Big Box shortcut I created on the desktop. I didn't even put the LaunchBox shortcut on there. She literally turns her laptop on, hooks it up to the flatscreen via HDMI, double clicks the Big Box shortcut, closes the laptop lid (windows settings/ choose what to do when lid is closed/ do nothing when plugged in) and proceeds to enjoy countless games with a wireless gamepad that is auto-detected. And, anytime she wants a game, all she does is ask me and I put it on my LaunchBox normally and it automatically goes on hers. I'm 23, my mother is 51. Some of my fondest memories are watching my mother play as a kid and she's getting older. Not only does LaunchBox allow her to relive her favorite moments, they allow her to live them now without having to buy consoles, look for games, or struggle to emulate things she knows nothing about. At the same time, I get to enjoy them as well. A little last regarding tip, a free drive account has max 15gigs. When asked, I move every single rom into the LaunchBox folder EXCEPT big platforms like PSX, PS2, GameCube/ I leave those in a separate folder in my documents as to not take space on my drive. Also, install separate emulators INSIDE (doesn't have to be, but needs to be at least in the drive folder) the Launchbox folder. Like, install RetroArch, PCSX2, etc. inside their own folders inside the Launchbox folder that way when synced to another computer on the drive, everything will be setup and ready to just play in Big Box mode without configuring anything. Any other required files that may auto put themselves into the Documents folder like saves for PCSX2 or bios files for PCSX2, either synce the Documents folder into the drive, or relocate them manually inside of the Launchbox folders and tell the emulators where to look for them. Well I think that's all, hope I could give some others who are new here some good ideas on how to utilize the portability of Launchbox. Thank you, sorry for typing so much as always and great day to you all!
  3. Thank you, it did not! Cleaned perfectly.
  4. Auto setup on my Xbox One gamepad, when playing SNES games, is the 'okay' button usually mapped to the B button and the cancel/back button mapped to the A button? Retrobox itself is 'okay' with A and cancel/back with B. Just like most modern games, think PS2 games. Cross button was 'okay' and circle was cancel/back. Thanks!
  5. I type a lot lol, too long don't read at the bottom. I typed out a lot, hopefully others will see this Google Drive Sync idea and put it to use! Okay so I had everything set up perfect. Install is in C Drive, Games folder in Launchbox folder (also retrobox and PCSX2 are installed in their own folders inside the Launchbox folder). So far, so good. Fully working library with about 10 SNES games (around 7 gigs, few psx and a ps2 game as well). My mother absolutely loves the SNES, especially RPGs. I remember being very young watching her play, giving me inspiration to this day why I love retro games. I seen online that you could install Launchbox to a Google Drive Sync folder and use it on other computers and I decided to utilize this so that my mother can play her beloved games (and me too of course :P) without the hassle of her having to get roms, metadata, plugins, cores, etc. It essentially allows me to just copy my Launchbox to her computer without any resources used of the other side. I got a drive and proceeded to reinstall Launchbox into it along with Retrobox, PCSX2, etc inside the single Launchbox folder. I copied all my roms and whatnot, it worked. Going to her laptop and logging into drive, I installed the Launchbox folder with Google Sync Drive and sure enough, it detected the wireless gamepad I gave her and it runs just like on my laptop side and I didn't even have to install or setup a single thing. All the metadata was there, all the games from my laptop. She's actually playing Mother 2 now! Now all said and done, I'm keeping the drive folder as my primary Launchbox folder. But the thing is, now I have 2 folders with 2 different Launchbox and Big Box .exes and pretty much an entire duplicate of my current drive Launchbox folder. My question is, how do I go about deleting the Launchbox folder inside of the C: Drive Games folder without it messing with my Launchbox drive folder? I know if I just delete the entire folder, the program was originally installed FIRST onto my C Drive, will this not leave behind a mess of the registry? I'm afraid to just uninstall the Launchbox shortcut because in my program files & features, there is only ONE Launchbox and Big Box .exes. ***TOO LONG DONT READ*** I have 2 Launchbox installation locations, One is in C: Drive, Games folder and the other is in my Google Drive Sync Folder. I first installed into the C: Drive Games folder and now I want to get rid of that location, uninstall and wipe it like it never existed. How do I do this without hurting my Drive location? If I just delete the Games location folder, won't this leave behind registry conflicts? And I'm afraid to just install considering there is only 1 location for Launchbox and Bigbox in my programs and features settings. Thanks!
  6. I have posted the video of this in action over in the Features forums.
  7. This video is basically demonstrating FASM's method of viewing manuals, I did not come up with it though I did do some tweaks. There wasn't any videos of it in action, so.. here ya go! Everything you see is being inputed by my Xbox One controller ONLY. Perfect for that home console feel! Using the guide FASM wrote over at https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topi... but with some tweaks to the interface and I've also added Controller Companion in the background to control .pdf files so it all works seamlessly. Controller companion even auto-opens only on .PDF files and auto closes as well so no background tasks going on when you're not using it. Also, the manuals will fill the entire fullscreen, no borders or anything to show that it's being ran off a .PDF viewer. Another thing, the reason Morrowind doesn't fill the entire screen is because the manual was shaped like a PS2 manual! Final Fantasy VII was a PSX manual shaped like a square Let me know what you think, I can try to write out a detailed tutorial if anyone is interested!
  8. Wow, you're awesome! Using controller companion, I set deleted every single function but the right and left arrows mapped to my d-pad (among a few other helpful Windows hotkeys). As this program is based solely on Windows accessibility, it auto opens in the background with apps (such as default .pdf manager) and closes when an .exe is discovered. This lets me open manuals in Big Box with my controller running Big Box controller support (Sumatra like that guide + a few other tweaks) as a PDF and scroll thru the pages using Left and Right on my d-pad with Controller Companion (because it's a Windows App, .PDF extension). I can then close it with my Big Box Automaton hotkeys. Because Big Box is .exe and the manuals are .pdf, Neither controller mappings from either program interfere with each other. Extremely awesome, it's like it was built in from the start. Sorry for posting information like you're a beginner, I mainly wrote that in detail in case someone else happens to seek what I did. Thanks man! If curious, I could post a video of this actually working. You can't even tell it's not a built in feature. And bonus props to the person that wrote the instructions to get me this far.
  9. Okay so far, this is awesome. The PDF viewer is just beautiful. Now I just need to figure out how to bind the arrow keys to my controller to flip pages. I am able to open and close manuals using the Automaton settings. *Hold* back button, *press* start button. Can you help me?
  10. Dude this is amazing. Excellent guide, only thing, how do I paid the arrow keys with the controller to function with BB?
  11. Dude this is amazing. Excellent guide, only thing, how do I paid the arrow keys with the controller to function with BB?
  12. Thank you, was not aware of this. I'm going to try this now.
  13. Maybe I've just over looked it but for my first question, when using the controller automaton (forgive if I misspelled), is there a way to back out of a rom, into Big Box mode and then return back to the current state of rom without resetting? I'm aware of how to back out into BB mode (I use on XB1 *hold* back button, *press* x button) but when I go back to click play, it just resets the emulator I am using. I think I may understand why because Launchbox is like a library to my games and the problems persists in it just opening and closing emulators. So that's not much of a big deal but I might be wrong, which is why I'm asking Second question is, is there any planned work to be done on a built in PDF reader for manuals? For the time being, what do you recommend to be the slickest looking PDF reader? Just purely basic and simple, fullscreen mode without all those annoying buttons and edits what-not. I've been testing out the ViewManual8D plug-in and it's well on a good way to being what I'd like to see support for in the future. But still, looking for the PDF reader in the meantime until then. Any ideas based on my query of what I seek? Oh and thank the developer as well as the community for making this absolutely wonderful program! I have bought and purchased this. It's awesome And even tho it's DRM free, I have conviced a few of my gamer pals to purchase as well considering it's extremely well worth it. Good day! Thank you for the upcoming answers!
