  1. Ok looks like we have narrowed it down a fair bit, over to you @Jason Carr thanks for the solid forum and dev response on this.
  2. @noiseordinance good move uploading the vids as that should give @Jason Carr a better idea of what we are seeing, that is identical to the symptoms I see. Added note if you go back one menu to the BB views/options/quit menu then the controller scrolls through fine
  3. @djtripnosis I don't see that option in regards to the Windows (Xbox 360), is your controller connected via Bluetooth or the proper Xbox controller dongle? I do get another option though being a generic "Bluetooth XINPUT compatible input device", I will give that a shot? my video playboack was already set to wmp rather than VLC in Launchbox.Next itself.
  4. Ace, thats a good starting point, will change those settings this eve and provide feedback!
  5. Ok sounds good, yeh I have just been using the onboard Bluetooth of the mainboard as I wanted it to be as integrated a mITX system as possible for the loungeroom. Seems pretty crazy that sub 8gb of ram it can be laggy, but I suppose these days OS and base applications do chew a fair bit
  6. Ok so I checked mine and under Device Manager -> Human Interface Devices it looks like both my Xbox controllers are detected as bluetooth XINPUT compatible input device, screenshot of driver details attached. Not sure if this makes any difference? System is Windows 10 Ent, Latest OS build and current with updates. i5 8600K, Asus MITX ROG 370 mainboard with 16gb DDR4 3200, Samsung 960 512gb NVME Pro as OS drive, Samsung NVME 500gb as secondary drive.
  7. @Jason Carr will grab those details for you tonight and update the thread
  8. Think it might be purely controller related, I am pretty sure I have both backgrounds and transitions off as these are mentioned in the performance thread (I thought it was a performance issue to start with as mine is a media box so I only use a remote and a Xbox Controller), when I plugged in a wireless keyboard to change some settings I suddenly realised the problem wasn't there using the keyboard @Mr. RetroLust
  9. Identical situation this end, sounds like we are narrowing down the symptoms hopefully that makes it easier to diagnose
  10. Whats your thoughts on this one, anything else you would like us to test? I just swapped MB and CPU (although exactly the same type of MB just the next Chipset series) and still same issue @Jason Carr
  11. Tested with flag unchecked and just set to a single Xbox controller, no change still super laggy. Also found Beta 7 was out so I upgraded, still super laggy.
  12. I will give unchecking that box a spin this arvo, obviously preferable to have it on as have multiple controllers but will see if it helps to diagnose problems. i5, 16gb DDR4, 960 NVME Pro, sitting on ASUS ROG Mainboard
  13. Ok thats what I thought as I don't have the issue anywhere else but I just don't have an Xbox official adapter to test and I tried the basics like a fresh set of batteries etc. thanks @emudude
  14. hey all, somehow missed this thread so had created my own last night! similar to users here thought I had a performance issue (weird considering my system specs smash everything else) but then when I plugged in a wireless keyboard and saw that scrolling through games list was fine it was purely my Xbox controllers having the lag yet they seem to work fine in games themselves. Box is a headless lounge media/gaming system and controllers work fine in Kodi as well. Link to thread below; The issue does have similar symptoms to the general Win10 Xbox controller lag threads all over the googles but its just strange it's only manifesting in BB and in scrolling the games list for me. To try and narrow it down is any one here with the symptoms running an OS other than Win10? - might indicate it is somehow OS related? Is anyone still having the symptoms if they are using a genuine Xbox dongle with their controllers? - this is the resolution a lot of the ppl use to solve the Windows 10 Controller lag issue Unlikely but are we all running the same MB vendor? Asus here, wondering if it could be a particular bluetooth hardware issue thanks
  15. Thanks for the prompt replies crew, missed them initially as good old junk mail filter was a bit over active. I did do a search of the forums but some how missed that other thread I will take a look now. Yeh I have seen those threads regarding XBox controller lag but as @DOS76 mentioned I really only see it on BB and only on that one screen. The funny thing is I actually thought BB was just running sluggish the whole time and had been through the speed improvement thread last week trying to improve it but what I didn't realise until I busted out my wireless KB (normally I just RDP to the system if I want to make config changes) is that the BB interface once loaded navigates very smooth via wireless Keyboard, further testing then revealed it seems to only happen on the Games Listing screen. 90% of the time it does this and then sometimes if I go back to the view menu listing and scroll up and down the options a bit and then enter back into the Games listing screen it will scroll smoothly (but this is rare). I had checked out all the general threads around Windows 10 and the Xbox controller, which seem to be one of those issues that is ongoing and not resolved but the main solution seems to be people buying the genuine Xbox dongle for the controllers which seems a bit stupid when my mainboard has built in bluetooth. I am swapping mainboard (same model just next CPU series) over the weekend so will see if that changes anything. I doubt it as I would be guessing the Bluetooth chip will be the same being that it is the same hardware vendor and mainboard series. thanks
  16. I am seeing an interesting phenomenon where once Big Box launches if I scroll down the list of games with my XBox Controller it is quite laggy. If I press back and scroll the views menu the controller skips through the menu items quickly but through the games listing it is quite slow. Strangely enough if I use the arrows on my Logitech wireless KB on that same games listing menu its fine! Is there any reason my controller would be slower going through the games list when compared to the keyboard? yet the controller works perfectly fine on other menu's and within games? The system is relatively new i5, 16GB RAM, 512 NVME Pro hdd on Windows 10 running Launchbox 8.3 latest build also is there a way to make the start of BigBox little quicker? it seems sound jerky at the very start when it announces "initialising BigBox" thanks
  17. thanks @Jason Carr for the prompt fix. Update appeared this end, installed and Steam games importing again
  18. Same here, upgraded to Launchbox 8 Beta 2 but same deal. Can login to Steam itself fine via the web. by the looks of the posts here likely needs attention from Devs, anyway to tag them in to this thread? thanks
