  1. Launchbox 13.24 RetroArch 1.22.2 all cores updated Trying to add Wonderswan to Launchbox. It will not give me the option to select the Beetle Wonderswan core.
  2. I found a solution I am more or less happy with. I found that line 125 controls the formatting of the Video Panel so I set the background color to match the theme color like so: <!-- View Start --> <Canvas Height="{Binding ElementName=Canvas, Path=ActualHeight}" Width="{Binding ElementName=Canvas, Path=ActualWidth}" Background="#313536" > Previously this was set to Black. The end result is no borders on 4:3 content as shown below. Anything not 4:3 is an issue however because it still stretches incorrectly. So I am currently using ffmpeg to letterbox non 4:3 videos into a 4:3 aspect ratio using this command. for %%f in (*.mp4) do ( echo %%~nf f:\ffmpeg -i "%%~nf.mp4" -vf "pad=width=max(iw\,ih*(4/3)):height=ow/(4/3):x=(ow-iw)/2:y=(oh-ih)/2" "output\%%~nf.mp4" ) So I'm more or less happy with this solution other than having to re-encode all of my videos to 4:3. Ideally the video panel should be transparent and should dynamically scale to the content to eliminate all black bars but that's probably asking a lot.
  3. So with some trial and error, I was able to make some tweaks to the Wheel2GamesView.xaml file to get the video to render within the boundaries of the Video Panel. I found that I could make the video smaller by adjusting this in the Main Video Section. <!-- <ScaleTransform ScaleX="1" ScaleY="1" /> --> <ScaleTransform ScaleX=".83" ScaleY=".83" /> The left a black border on the left side so I also had to tweak this value to re-center the video in the box. <!-- <TranslateTransform X="{Binding ElementName=Canvas,Path=ActualWidth,Converter={StaticResource ScalePropertyValueD},ConverterParameter=X;479;2560}" Y="{Binding ElementName=Canvas,Path=ActualHeight,Converter={StaticResource ScalePropertyValueD},ConverterParameter=Y;0;1440}" /> --> <TranslateTransform X="{Binding ElementName=Canvas,Path=ActualWidth,Converter={StaticResource ScalePropertyValueD},ConverterParameter=X;455;2560}" Y="{Binding ElementName=Canvas,Path=ActualHeight,Converter={StaticResource ScalePropertyValueD},ConverterParameter=Y;0;1440}" /> The end result is the attached screenshot. So the video is no longer cropped. The ideal solution would be to make the video panel 4:3 instead of 1:1 but at least this is better than it was. Edit: It appears that while this works well for 4:3 640x480, other platforms that aren't 4:3 like GBA and PSP are still horribly cropped.
  4. I don't see a way to search comments on this page so maybe this was brought up before. Running Colorful Dark and I'm noticing that game videos on the Platforms and Game List pages are slightly cropped on the sides. It's like the video playback window has a 1:1 aspect ratio instead of 4:3. If I dial all the way down to the game specific page then the video plays back in the correct aspect ratio. It seems like there would be enough room to have a 4:3 aspect ratio playback window.
  5. By default LB creates a folder called Theme under Videos. My OCD dictates that I want this folder located elsewhere. It doesn't seem to be possible to change this path inside LB and when I modify the Platforms.xml with the path I want, LB doesn't respect it. This is the XML code in question <PlatformFolder> <MediaType>Theme Video</MediaType> <FolderPath>E:\Assets\Nintendo 64\Theme</FolderPath> <Platform>Nintendo 64</Platform> </PlatformFolder> On a similar note, it is massively infuriating that LB creates Region folders under image folders even if there is nothing in them. I delete them, they come back. You should be able to dis
  6. That's what I was looking for, thank you.
  7. I am trying to find out what the ID is of this game: https://gamesdb.launchbox-app.com/games/details/2485 There are two games on the Genesis with the title of "Spider-Man" and Launchbox will only pull up the other game in the search field. The number in the URL doesn't seem to correspond to the Game ID. For example if I edit the XML file and set the ID to 2485 Launchbox will take me to the page for Battlefield 1943. So I am looking for the correct number to put into the DatabaseID field in the XML file so that LaunchBox will show the correct game. If there's a way to find the ID myself that would be great to know. The images in the database don't seem to reference the ID and there isn't a field on the page that shows it.
  8. What I've been doing is just downloading everything then going in and deleting the folders for things like 3D carts after the fact. That seems to be the quickest way as opposed to unchecking the boxes every time.
  9. Yeah I noticed that. What I am referring to is going to Edit Game then Download Images/Media. I have been having issues with the scraper not pulling media for every game on the import but if I do edit game it finds them. Every game is named properly so that it finds it in the DB during import so I don't know why chunks of games aren't getting media downloads.
  10. Yeah it's not really a matter of taking up space I have this on a 4TB drive. It's a matter of having to skim down through a list of nested folders when I am trying to find something (I'm still adding media) and the big issue is anytime I scrape an individual game I have to uncheck all the stuff I don't want.
  11. When editing a platform there's a tab called Folders that has paths to all of the image directories. Is there a way to remove some of these entries? For example there's no need for the arcade folders on a console platform and I don't really want or need the fanart. I'd rather not have a bunch of empty folders for media types I don't have, it's an OCD thing. I tried removing the entries from the Platforms.xml file but as soon as I relaunch the application the folders get re-added to the xml file. I would think / hope that this would be tied to media downloading so that if a media type is removed from a platform that media type would not appear in the selection screens for media downloading.
