CadetStimpy Posted April 21, 2015 Author Posted April 21, 2015 kamyk2000's previous post about "your first console" reminded me of an e-mail I sent out to my distribution list a couple of Summer's ago: Game Consoles (PlayStation, Xbox, etc.) today aren’t that expensive, relatively speaking, considering what they cost over 35 years ago, and how very much more computing power they have now. Example: In 1977, a new Atari 2600 cost $200, which would be the equivalent of $768 today (well, 2013). I think I’d rather pay $399 for a PS4. Quote
Jason Carr Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Ah, interesting. I guess that really puts it all into perspective. Quote
bd00 Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 I had an Atari 2600 and I remember my Mum making it very clear that we must take very good care of it. Now I know why! I have the fondest memories of playing Chuckie Egg with my brother. Quote
