A few of the Monkeys post from today seem like vieled advertising

I can't speak for anyone else but I feel like a few of the post to day are veiled advertisments and not actual posts.

I noticed that too. I know one had a link but I cannot say if it is phising or not. I didn't trust the links.

Well the posts are gone now. At least it's not the attack we had the other week where it was all in Korean or Chinese and opening the thread routed you back the forums main page.

That one does not sound very pleasant. Do you guys know if by any chance if there are features to deter spambots within the forum?

No we do not, but we are going to be looking in to that soon enough. Even simple anti-bot measures go a long long way. Most of the time they are just looking for the path of least resistance.
