Having small DB issue

When LB used to use the GDB when you added Sega Model 2 games you would get Arcade results in the initial import now with our own local DB that is no longer the case if you add Model 2 games you don't get any results except for ones from Wikipedia if you change the platform and search you get the results. Is there anyway we can add the logic back in so that if you add Model 2, Model 3, CPS -1/2/3, or Neo Geo platforms it will also get results from the arcade section of the LBDB.

Hi Derek, most likely the problem is that the platforms aren't matching up. I expect that if you select Arcade as the platform during the import process, you'll get data for those as well. You can then filter on status to get the imported games and change the platform after the import. That kind of thing should improve going forward as we clean up all the data in the LaunchBox Games Database.

Yeah changing the platform to arcade definitely works what I was saying was before it found the results from Arcade when you used Sega Model 2 as a platform and our new DB doesn't do so. I was hoping that this could be changed.

Ah, I see, sure. Hmm. I guess maybe TGDB would return results for all platforms if it couldn't identify the platform. I'll look into that. :)

Yeah that is how it worked if you searched something and they couldn't find an exact match for it you would sometime get a long list with options for games on different platforms than the one you were using.

FYI, updated the LGD search for the next beta to search all platforms if no results were found. :)
