Suggestion: # of Players, Video Previews and Parental Controls

I'm new to Launchbox and loving every bit of it. However, there are a couple of things I think are sorely missing: 1) Storing the Number of Players and whether Co-Op is a feature in the game info. I store my whole library of games in the Launchbox and it would be incredibly helpful to have the ability to sort "1 player", "2 players", "2+ players", "4 players" etc. for when others join in. Thegamesdb.net has fields for "Player #" and "Co-Op: Yes, No, N/A" so I would think it's possible to scrape that info. As a pet project, I'm trying to go through as many games as I can, to update this information on thegamesdb.net, so I assure you if this detail is added to the scraping process there will be enough games documented to make it worth while. Also, I recognize that there are "Single player" and "Multiplayer" values in the info, but I think that is too board for the situations I'm thinking. 2) Video Previews I know this has been pitched in the past, but I see this as the main feature that is holding Launchbox back from being the clear-cut best front loader out there. When trying to find the ideal front loader, video previews were the most enticing feature (certainly for Hyperspin and Rom Collection Browser). I know this is probably considerably tougher than my first ask, but I just want to throw it out there since I think it would enhance the experience of using Launchbox tenfold. 3)Parental Controls I know I'm in the minority of people that would actually get something out of this. With little ones in the house, it would be nice to find some way to lock out the games I think are too mature (Whether not letting them open it, or not seeing the boxart altogether). I know there are several ways around this that I could do, but I just wanted to bring it up as a thought so that when my wife wants to let them play something while I'm not around, we can all rest assured that it will be age-appropriate. Thanks for listening!

First off let me welcome you to the community! To address request #2 check out this post from Mccluren Here Your number 3 request I do believe that Jason has this on his to-do list. The first one I will let either Jason address you on this. Again welcome to the community!

Welcome @ZedSpot. :) There already is a field called "Play Mode" that has options for Single Player, Cooperative, and Multiplayer. They are multi-selectable so you can select any number of them. I believe they are also automatically populated from TGDB; let me know if they're not. Number of players would be easy to do as a custom field, but of course then it won't populate from TGDB. I'll add this to my to-do list. #2 and #3 are definitely planned.

I had noticed the "Play Mode" field, though I didn't realize that was being pulled from thegamesdb! I know you must have a "planned feature" list a mile long, so I apologize for the picky-ness of my request. I just saw thegamesdb's exact player # field as an opportunity to have a little more detail and control. I feel there is a fairly large gap between the scenarios where someone would be looking to play a 2-player game vs. offering up games to a group of 4, though I guess there are few enough good party games as it is that I can settle for making my own custom playlists. Thanks for the reply, keep up the fantastic work!
