tony971 Posted October 22, 2015 Author Share Posted October 22, 2015 Updating from LaunchBox 5.3 b16, I get the following error: ~\LaunchBox.exe An error occurred while trying to replace the existing file: DeleteFile failed: code 5. DOS76 Posted October 22, 2015 Share Posted October 22, 2015 LaunchBox installs by default in your documents folder. If I have issues updating I usually make sure there are no instances of LaunchBox running in Task Manager and if I don't find them I remove both BigBox.exe and LaunchBox.exe from the folder and then hit try again (if you are being offered thseo options when it fails that usually works for me). Jason Carr Posted October 22, 2015 Share Posted October 22, 2015 Yup, worst case, give your machine a reboot and that issue should go away. If not, delete the LaunchBox.exe file that it's complaining about first. It's possible that something messed up permissions on the file, though that's not common.
