Trackball settings

I guess this wasn't a very good question... what I'm trying to do is play some of the old trackball games... Tempest specifically (which was a spinner actually, I suppose) and some other ones. I used to have it set up properly years ago as far as I can remember, but I'm using an xbox controller for most emulated games now, and the analog stick makes you jump all over the place in Tempest and some of the trackball games and even driving games. So, really I was just wondering what other people use for those games. I tried the mouse and it didn't really give me that retro-authentic feeling. :)

I have a Logitech M570 trackball it is the ultimate in laziness now I only have to move one finger instead of whole hand. I'm not sure how it works with MAME trackball games I should test it. As for games that require spinners I don't play them because I don't have the proper controller would like to have one so I can play Ka-Boom for Atari 2600 I used to love that game as a kid.

It is one of the highest quality controllers I've ever seen. It was expensive so I'm glad that it was well made but it exceeded my expectations. I still need to build something to mount it on it really only used a few times I would like to change that but need to make room in order to use it properly.
