SentaiBrad Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 You should be able to edit posts if someone hasn't replied yet. Arcade refers to, in this instance, as MAME. http://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Arcade_emulators
SentaiBrad Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 It depends on your desired system. MAME generally does everything, as it say's thousands on the page, but sometimes some games run better in specific emulators. Just use MAME .171 if you're interested. However, do note that it is VERY complicated. They do not make it easy for some reason.
DOS76 Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 For some Sega arcade boards MAME doesn't emulate the games and you will need other emulators Sega Model 2 Emulator, SuperModel and Demul are all good emulators for games that will not run in MAME (or at least they didn't in the past if this has changed I don't know) I also use Kawakas for CPS1, CPS2 and NeoGeo but I believe that MAME is good enough to handle those boards at this point I just haven't switched yet. Kawakas needs to be updated but probably won't be.
