latin625
Hi, I can click on "play" inside of Magic engine, but I wish I could just run it automatically. Any Ideas? The game doesnt run though if I hit Play... It runs in my version of RL, so I think it is possible to unxip and play the game, yes? Thanks! Lordmonkus
Yeah don't use Magic Engine. It is very outdated and outclassed by Mednafen and the Retroarch Mednafen PCE Fast core.
latin625
Ok. I tried following the directions on that link, but no joy. =( so I have zip files and regular cue files.. separate folders for "just in case" Should Ihave them unzipped or does it not matter? I have the retroarch setup just like the demo, but nothing. Any pointers?
Lordmonkus
Retroarch wants cue + bin disk images. You also need the correct bios syscard3.pce in the /system folder.
latin625
Gotcha! Just moved that files into the RetroArch System folder. So having them zipped and having launchbox unzip them is a bad thing?
latin625
HEY!!!! It worked! Zipped and all! The secret sauce is the syscard3.pce file in the /system folder or retroarch! Thank you LordMonkus!!!!
Lordmonkus
Zipped should be fine as long as it is cue + bin inside the zip file. I won't swear to it though since I do not have mine zipped, i have all my cd image games unzipped.
latin625
SHould I follow the same steps for TurboGrafx 16?
Lordmonkus
Cool. Yeah Retroarch wants most bios files located in the /system folder. Only ones I can think of off the top of my head that it doesn't look there is neogeo.
