pellewolf
Hi! 1.) A few days ago i bought Launchbox Premium and currently i setup (or try to setup ;-)) all important systems which takes some time to download all that stuff from emumovies etc. :-) ! Within the next days i want to setup my Amiga Collection into Launchbox. Favourite combination: The WHD-Load-Collection emulated via FS-UAE. There are 1 or 2 tutorials at youtube - but did i understand it right that currently it is possible to setup everything and it is running well so far via LaunchBox but the only issue is that it is not possible to save game states? So if i want to play for example Monkey Island or similar games i am not able to save?? In this case should i wait to install Amiga until there will be a solution? Or take WinUAE? Or is there any workaround at the moment for this problem? 2.) Also regarding Amiga: I read everywhere that this CRT-Royale shader is the top notch shader at the moment and i saw psx-screenshots which really impressed me. So as i understand these shader is more or less easy to setup via Retroarch which means not for Amiga - but is there any existing similar shader or maybe also CRT-Royale itself which i can use with the combination Launchbox + FS-UAE? If yes, do I have to set it up inside of FS-UAE and how? I am no pro :-) Thank you very much and best regards :-) Edited September 8, 2016 by pellewolf
Wutex
Hi Pellewolf, you can't use the crt-royale shader right now, but you can use the very nice "CRT-interlaced-halation" shader with FS-UAE, please find it attached to this message. Put the file in your Fs-Uae folder and add the following lines under "Settings>Advanced Settings in the Launcher-menu of FS-Uae: line_doubling = 0 low_resolution = 1 shader = CRT-interlaced-halation.shader Amiga games are usually saved on the disc itself, which also works with WHDload files. Game save states are currently not supported by FS-Uae. CRT-interlaced-halation.shader
pellewolf
Hi Wutex! Thank you for your help. Maybe you or somebody of the community can help again regarding shaders in FS-UAE. For hours now i am looking for a good crt FLAT shader for FS-UAE. There are so many brilliant shaders for other emulators but for FS-UAE it is really difficult to find something. So has anybody a good shader pack with flat crt-shaders maybe? Problem is that FS-UAE only accepts *.shader - shaders, so has someone maybe converted a good shader for FS-UAE? Thank you
Wutex
Hi Pellewolf, you mean a shader without the crt-like curvature? I adjusted the file I previously posted so that it has no curvature anymore. CRT-interlaced-halation.shader
pellewolf
hi there! thank you very much. looks a way better, but to be honest the scanlines are a little too strong for my personal taste. i tried all shaders now which i found for fs-uae and i like the most a shader simply called "crt.shader". But like in your shader the curvature is too strong. may i bet you once to again to take a look to that shader and take out the curvature? i think your skills are better than mines ;-) i can't find the specific value if i open the shader which i have to modify to take out the curvature. would be amazing if you can take it out for me and reupload without curvature. thanks and best regards p.s. - is there also any option in fs-uae that i use this crt.shader and at the same time a hqx2-scaler? Wutex
Hi, I removed the curvature and corner rounding in your shader.(which is actually the same shader with some adjustments) Setting "Cornersize" to a small value like 0.0001 removes the rounded corners, commenting out "define CURVATURE" by putting "//" in front of it removes the curvature. It is not possible to use 2 shaders at once or multipass shaders with fs-uae at the moment. Using an upscaler like hq2x and a crt shader at the same time would give very weird results anyway. If you want a more pixelated look, you can change the settings in fs-uae to this: line_doubling = 1 low_resolution = 0 CRT.shader

That's not correct, the save state system is working fine when using adf's etc., it's just not supported when using zipped WHDLoad files. However, it is possible to enable even then with “unsafe_save_state = 1” in the settings.ini, but it's hit or miss when trying to load them. Regards... I tried that last night because I read about it elsewhere, but after adding that into the .ini the "save state" and "load state" menu options (accessed when hitting start on the 360 controller when in-game) are still greyed out. Am I missing something?

Zombeaver
Derp. I was using unsafe_save_state = 1 instead of unsafe_save_states = 1. It's working now Thanks! It does indeed seem a bitty iffy though based on some testing.
