RetroArch NEW fullScreen

hi!  Been tinkering in my pinball X for the last few days and now am back to Launchbox!  =)

so my latest issue is that I am unable to get the NES retro box core to display the game in a full screen.  I dont have any window issues, but the game does not fill up the screen.  Stay in a 4:3 box dead center with black bars on both sides.

Also, it does not look as crispy as the Nestopia emulator.

1. Would love to get it full screen.  not to important about stretching or aspect ratio.

2. would love to set up the scan lines like MAME on it too! Any recommendation on the best scanlines or filters to turn on for RetroArch?

3. Can I set up Retro arch controls separate and apart from the emulators?  is this a Core to core thing, that I must set up?

Wow.  Big pain in the rear end setting up the binds in Retro arch!  Ugghhh...  I find myself having to edit the lines manually in Notepad++

Thanks!!!

1. Full screen is in the video settings. You may or may not have to do it for each core if you turned on per core settings when you first started to set it up.

2. There are a lot of different scanline shaders, the presets are located in the CRT folder.

3. You should be able to. I can use my controller or keyboard to navigate Retroarch.

Retroarch is a little more work to get used to the UI and everything that it does but because it does so much stuff the UI bloat is a necessary evil. Once you get the hang of it it will make sense and become easy.

I generally prefer core provided but 4:3 is fine as well. If you want to stretch it to fill a 16:9 display then set it to 16:9. Personally I don't like to stretch it at all, I prefer the natural intended look.

If your Netsopia core is full screen filling out to the sides then that core is set to a 16:9 or 16:10 display.
