Forever Version Showing Expiration Date

First of all, congrats on an excellent piece of software that was well worth the price. I bought the one year premium version and it took me less than a week to decide it was well worth the upgrade to a forever version.

After making the upgrade purchase and downloading the new license.xml, I applied it to my launchbox successfully. However, my license status still shows that it will expire after 10/9/2017 within launchbox itself and prompts to upgrade to the forever version. Out of curiosity I tried loading the XML file to the "upgrade" site again and it told me " Error: License is already a forever-updates license and does not need to be upgraded or renewed " so it looks like it is registered succesfully somewhere. Just wanted to check if this is a display only bug, if I ought to do a fresh install of launchbox, or if something else is amiss.

The browse button should work too though, so not sure what might have happened there. We might still have a bug if that didn't work properly. Though I did just test that process and it did work for me...let me know if you have any further ideas as to what might have happened. :)

Hey there! Decided to do a complete computer reinstall to stamp out some weirdness and did my launchbox install as part of it. My steps were...

1. Download latest version of Launchbox (no pending updates)

2. Register (via browse import) using my OLD license from my original one-year purchase

3. Confirm that registration applied and show I am good with updates through XX/XX/2017

4. Register (via browse import) using my NEW license from my forever license purchase

5. Registration not updated and still shows XX/XX/2017

6. Restart/check/reapply a few times, confirm the XX/XX/2017 remains

7. Close launchbox

8. Copy paste NEW license into launchbox directory

9. Launch... box

10. Confirm that it now properly shows as forever license

So looks like it is a consistent issue, whatever it is. Maybe something with my specific files sent to me in the e-mail? Happy to e-mail them to ya if it would be helpful. This is a super minor bug and a non-issue for me now, but I like your product and how you run your shop so happy to help with any bug squashing if you need it :)

I received a Launchbox premium license from the 2024 giveaway, However, while the email says that the license is a forever updates license the .xml file I received is reading as a one-year license. Was the license from the giveaway only meant to last for one year?
