Lordmonkus
You have spaces before and after the back slash \ There shouldn't be spaces.

Lordmonkus
Does your Platform name and Associated Platforms name match up ? Nintendo Game Boy Advance should be the default.
matebox
It is configured as the photo .... but will not start ... weird ... I'm going crazy ... :-(
Lordmonkus
Do other systems using Retroarch work for you ?
matebox
I'm using Sega Mega Drive and PSP and it works perfectly .... thanks :-)
Lordmonkus
Hmm, well if GBA launch and play fine in Retroarch itself and you have other systems using Retroarch working through Launchbox the only thing I can think of off the top of my head right now is you either have a spelling error or maybe you have your game roms extracted already and maybe you have the extract roms box checked in the Emulator Details window. Can you post a screen shot of your Emulator Details and Associated Platforms windows ?
matebox
But as you see here it is all ok ... maybe I do not understand launchbox has problems with retroarch? Thanks
Lordmonkus
There is no problem with Launchbox and Retroarch directly. Generally if there is a problem it's in a setting or something else. Can you post a shot of the Emulator Details tab as well ? Maybe your roms are extracted and you have the extract roms box checked.
matebox
how do I publish errors?Roms are already extracted in .gba
Lordmonkus
What do you mean "publish errors" ? Is your extract roms box checked or unchecked ? Since your roms are already extracted the box should be unchecked.
matebox
Excuse my english ... :-p It is like your picture ....
Lordmonkus
No problems with the english Ummm i'm starting to run out of things to check. Your settings from what you are telling me are correct. Are you sure you have the mgba core downloaded and is what you used within Retroarch itself ? Maybe you have a different core and you don't actually have the mgba core. Check in your Retroarch\cores folder and make sure that the mbga_libretro.dll file is in there.
matebox
It is correct, now I think I've checked everything ... I give up, maybe it's a bug of launchbox ... because in retroarch everything it works perfectly ... mystery .... Thanks .-)
Lordmonkus
Well I don't think it's a Launchbox bug because it works just fine for me using the official 1.3.6 Retroarch build and a fairly up to date (within the last week) core. I am also using the latest non beta of Launchbox which is 6.12.
matebox
I use the nightly version of retroarch can create problems?
Lordmonkus
Nightly builds can have problems but still if it's working within Retroarch and other cores are working through Launchbox it should work. Launchbox is only telling Retroarch to load the game using a command line, and there is no other interaction beyond that which is why for now I am still thinking there is a typo or some other setting somewhere causing the issue. Try a different GBA core and adjust your command line parameter in Launchbox to match that core and see what happens.
matebox
You're right ... I'll try you soon and let you know tomorrow .... you are very kind, thanks :-)
Maddoc1007
@matebox When you update to the nightlies do you update the cores as well through Retroarch as there could be changes to the individual cores, in this case the mgba core, also when you update to the nightlies do you do a full overwrite of Retroarch with the package you downloaded, if you do this could lead to cores being broken by updating the retroarch cfg. The only thing you should update and overwrite in Retroarch from the downloaded nightly package is the Filters folder, as well as the retroarch.exe and the retroarch_debug.exe.
