Naomi 2 games working and US Dreamcast only, but not Japanese..?

My Dreamcast games are all uncompressed in individual folders (GDI format, they have additional tracks files in the same folder), the US ones ONLY work...I have the file DC.zip in the roms folders where they are...

I created a new instance in launchbox for Naomi 1/2 for Demul as I read was recommended, and tested Virtua Fighter 4 Final Run, it works fine...

When I open a US DC game, it boots up fine too, but when I try a Japanese one, it only boots to the DC icon screen....the only difference I can make in the process is to choose VIDEO / VGA and some Japanese games tell me I have the wrong video mode selected...so I go back and choose RGB....

What am I missing, is there some special Japanese BIOS I don't have - where do I get it, does it need to be renamed and placed into the DC.zip?

Yeah you are most likely missing the Japanese BIOS find a European game to test also as you may need to find that bios file too assuming you have interest in European exclusives.

I can't find anything besides various dc.zip packs online, and none seem to work :-(

I AM able to launch EURO PAL games (Ex Virtua Tennis 2 PAL), but for some reason the Japanese titles just won't work...

....anyone have these working fine with their DEMUL 0.7 builds?

I have the Japanese version of Zero Gunner 2 running the first game I tried brought me to the DC menu which usually means the disc is bad

Hmmm I guess I need to test every one of these...and I'll let you know all know if any work.

According to this you should only need one BIOS for DC if using Demul. I'm guessing it could be the game the page has some pretty good info on Demul

This sucks, it's like 31 games, LOL, none are working if they are not US or PAL....darn...
