dvdbob
Hi Can anyone shed some light on what I'm doing wrong here...... I'm trying to rename a few platforms e.g. Sega Genesis to Sega Megadrive - this is what I'm doing............ Tools>Manage Platforms Select Sega Genesis from the list>click edit and change the text Sega Genesis to Sega Megadrive (keeping the 'Scape As' to Genesis)>Click OK>Close All good, the platform name changes to Megadrive. Launch Bigbox.............The Genesis/Megadrive platform is missing! If I refresh the images cache it will return - all good. Returning the Launchbox I can now see that the previously rename Sega Megadrive has reverted to Sega Genesis. No mention of the Megadrive in the platform list yet if I look in the 'manage platforms' again I can see both platforms listed. What am I doing wrong? SentaiBrad
I don't know if you are necessarily doing anything wrong. You rename the platform in LB, it stays renamed, but then goes away after a LaunchBox restart?
dvdbob
Hi Brad, thanks for the reply. Yes, that's basically it. I rename the platform it & all seems well but after a restart things don't seem as good. I've attached a few screen grabs, before/renamed/after restart. Maybe I'm just missing an important step or check box. What do you think? Also, as I've mentioned - after renaming the Genesis/Megadrive platform dissappears from BigBox (until I refresh the image cache) Thanks again Steven Edited March 5, 2017 by dvdbob added image description

I've just created this ticket: https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/2660/changing-platform-name-can-create-two Add info on the ticket if you have any additional info. dvdbob
Hi, sorry about not updating sooner - does this mean it's a known issue & there's not much I can do at the moment? Cheers Steven
SentaiBrad
If this is known by Jason, I didn't know, but I think it's new. I'll forward this to Jason and see if he knows what could be causing it though.

dvdbob
Hi guys, I've updated to the latest beta 7.8-13. I see in the notes that it addresses the platform renaming issue. I've just tried to rename my Genesis to Megadrive again but the same issue has occurred. Also, it still removes the platform from Bigbox.
