Esc key weirdness with K400 & Big Box

Howdy all!

New to LaunchBox and the community, looking forward to getting everything set up.

I bought a Logitech K400 keyboard and I've noticed the esc key doesn't work at all in Big Box. It also doesn't work with my Apple bluetooth keyboard (actually one of the reasons I bought the K400, I figured the Apple keyboard just didn't work well with Windows).

Semi-related, when I hit "esc" in Snes9x, it quits the emulator (rather than bringing up the menu). Seems like maybe the K400's esc key is mapped weird in Windows?

OS is Windows 10, everything running on an Intel NUC.

Thanks! Looking forward to being a part of this community.

In BigBox menu options do you have "escape" mapped to anything in your keyboard mappings? I do not believe in the BigBox frontend "escape" has a default map function so it would not do anything.

Oh! I figured it was supposed to be “back”? I had read that somewhere.

That is probably the default. I just cannot remember. I have mine mapped to a different key due to my Tankstick controller. I have a K400 and just tested it changing the back command to the escape key in BigBox and it works.

Double check your keyboard mappings in BigBox options.

Thanks for your time! Maybe this is a stupid question but how do I get to the options? It seems like I may need to be able to hit esc to get to them...?
