monyarm Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 When i try to scrape a game, i'm told to download a metadata package, when i do i get this error --------------------------- Unable to download the updated metadata: Unable to connect to the remote server --------------------------- While trying to connect to the Games DB gives me the following --------------------------- Could not connect to the LaunchBox Games Database. Do you have an active Internet connection? Is it being blocked by a firewall? --------------------------- Quote

Chaotic Viral Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 I'm having the same issue. No problem with my Internet connection and even though my firewall had never been a problem before I still went in and manually added LaunchBox to the allow list but still no luck. Quote

I guess it just isn't working? Expand I gave up and went back to GameEx. The problem I was having with it was fixed. I've already paid for it, so I might as well use that. Launchbox looked promising, but having issues right off the bat, and being 2x as much as GameEx, no thanks. Imho GameEx is a better fit for me. Plus the creator got back with me the same day, if not within the hour to help me fix any issues I've had. Quote
