KUPOkinz
Maybe I've just over looked it but for my first question, when using the controller automaton (forgive if I misspelled), is there a way to back out of a rom, into Big Box mode and then return back to the current state of rom without resetting? I'm aware of how to back out into BB mode (I use on XB1 *hold* back button, *press* x button) but when I go back to click play, it just resets the emulator I am using. I think I may understand why because Launchbox is like a library to my games and the problems persists in it just opening and closing emulators. So that's not much of a big deal but I might be wrong, which is why I'm asking Second question is, is there any planned work to be done on a built in PDF reader for manuals? For the time being, what do you recommend to be the slickest looking PDF reader? Just purely basic and simple, fullscreen mode without all those annoying buttons and edits what-not. I've been testing out the ViewManual8D plug-in and it's well on a good way to being what I'd like to see support for in the future. But still, looking for the PDF reader in the meantime until then. Any ideas based on my query of what I seek? Oh and thank the developer as well as the community for making this absolutely wonderful program! I have bought and purchased this. It's awesome And even tho it's DRM free, I have conviced a few of my gamer pals to purchase as well considering it's extremely well worth it. Good day! Thank you for the upcoming answers! Lordmonkus
Question #1, not that I am aware of. Question #2, I believe there is something planned eventually but it is unknown at this point in time when. For now though take a look at this thread here and it provides a pretty good workaround using the PDF reader Sumatra.
KUPOkinz
Thank you, was not aware of this. I'm going to try this now.
KUPOkinz
Okay so far, this is awesome. The PDF viewer is just beautiful. Now I just need to figure out how to bind the arrow keys to my controller to flip pages. I am able to open and close manuals using the Automaton settings. *Hold* back button, *press* start button. Can you help me?
Lordmonkus
You can probably use something like Xpadder, joy2key, Controller Companion or some similar controller mapping software to do what you want.
KUPOkinz
Wow, you're awesome! Using controller companion, I set deleted every single function but the right and left arrows mapped to my d-pad (among a few other helpful Windows hotkeys). As this program is based solely on Windows accessibility, it auto opens in the background with apps (such as default .pdf manager) and closes when an .exe is discovered. This lets me open manuals in Big Box with my controller running Big Box controller support (Sumatra like that guide + a few other tweaks) as a PDF and scroll thru the pages using Left and Right on my d-pad with Controller Companion (because it's a Windows App, .PDF extension). I can then close it with my Big Box Automaton hotkeys. Because Big Box is .exe and the manuals are .pdf, Neither controller mappings from either program interfere with each other. Extremely awesome, it's like it was built in from the start. Sorry for posting information like you're a beginner, I mainly wrote that in detail in case someone else happens to seek what I did. Thanks man! If curious, I could post a video of this actually working. You can't even tell it's not a built in feature. And bonus props to the person that wrote the instructions to get me this far.
