KUPOkinz
Auto setup on my Xbox One gamepad, when playing SNES games, is the 'okay' button usually mapped to the B button and the cancel/back button mapped to the A button? Retrobox itself is 'okay' with A and cancel/back with B. Just like most modern games, think PS2 games. Cross button was 'okay' and circle was cancel/back. Thanks! Lordmonkus
Nintendo has A and B labeling reversed to what is on the Xbox controller.
KUPOkinz
I know that lol. I'm using the button location for example.
Lordmonkus
Then what exactly are you asking ?
KUPOkinz
There is 4 buttons on the controller (not the D-Pad, the right side of the controller). In most games, the bottom most button is the "okay/accept" button and the right most button is the "back/cancel" button. When I play most SNES games this is backwards. Is this how most SNES games are made or are my controls switched?
Lordmonkus
It depended on the game but it was a fairly common thing.
KUPOkinz
Okay that's what I was most curious about. So it's normally for most SNES games to have the right most button as the "okay" button?
Lordmonkus
I don't know if it is most or not but like I said, it was a common thing.
KUPOkinz
About the best of your abilities I guess. Thanks. Edited July 24, 2017 by KUPOkinz
Lordmonkus
Yeah, I am certainly not going to go through each and every game to figure out which ones do it and don't do it. It's just one of those things I figure out what way it is while playing and just get used to it.
KUPOkinz
I decided to stop being lazy and do what took me less time than making the topic I googled a control sheet for a game and yes, most games use the rightmost button as "okay". Again, thanks!
Lordmonkus
Lol, yeah thanks Nintendo for being backwards. No idea why Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony have to be different with their controller labeling.
KUPOkinz
I figured I'd ask you instead of opening another topic. Do you know how to change the screen resolution in the PPSSPP core of retroarch? I can't seem to find the scale x part.
Lordmonkus
I believe it's in the core options for it but I recommend the stand alone version of PPSSPP over the RA core, it's much more up to date.
KUPOkinz
Awesome, much appreciated, I will use the standalone.
subatomic09
For some reason, my buttons are swapped on NES games. Take a look at how I have to set it up to get it to work (Select = Start, A = B). I'm using an iBuffalo Classic with Mesen.
Lordmonkus
You can change them and then save it out as a core override.

Well yeah, that's what I did, but I find it strange that they're reversed like that. I never used to have to do that. Back in my day, A was A and B was B, and we liked it that way.
