chochi_ca Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 Hello. I am trying to set up my games library. A lot of rom games I download will not work. Think it's my romsets? I am running Mame 187. I have downloaded clrmamepro but I am kinda lost. Do I need to download all the older versions of Mame? Or does clrmameprob rebuild it all through the program. Tried YouTube but couldn't find a good vid on this.

DOS76 Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 (edited) whatever rom set you have if you want to update MAME to the latest set in CLRMAMEPro you need to have all the coinciding update packs available and then point the program to them so it can rebuild them. If its a lot of packs you would just be better off getting a new full set. You may want to wait the 8 days until the 0.189 set is released if you are going to go that route. DOS76 Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 no if you have 187 and its a full set and not an update pack you should be good you would only need the 188 update pack and you could rebuild your roms to the latest set

DOS76 Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 Well you say you have MAME 0.187 but that sounds like the emulator so I don't know what ROM set you have for MAME I'm guessing though the roms you have, have been updated in newer versions of MAME won't work until you get the changed roms.
